The Crown is an absolute GEM of a find. The pub is gorgeous and the rooms upstairs, which come part of the wedding package, are luxurious and dreamy! The food is delicious and come in massive portions, all of our guests were very impressed! Plus, unlike other venues we saw, there were no sound limitations so we could have a live band in the evening. My only drawback is that the communication wasn't great throughout the year between booking the venue and the actual wedding day. I do think it was a bit dodgy timing as they were in-between event coordinators, but I admit I was getting a bit worried in the run-up. I think they will improve on this though going forwards, as weddings become a bigger part of their business. On the actual wedding day, I couldn't have been happier. Everything ran smoothly and I didn't have to worry about anything at all. I knew we were in good hands. I would 100% recommend The Crown as a wedding venue. The town of Woodstock is wonderful, the venue is intimate and charming, and the staff were faultless.

We had the most perfect day at the Crown for our wedding. Like most people at the moment the journey to the day hadn't been smooth and we had to reschedule it, however the support from Marta was incredible and took such a weight off our shoulders. Marta is an incredible asset to the Crown and invests so much time and effort into making each couples wedding perfect for them, she knew what we might want even more than us!
In the run up to the day, communication was perfect and we felt confident at all points that all was in hand. We loved the food and wine tasting that was organised too.
On the day, the team Marta had working with her were fantastic and by the end of the day felt like extra guests for us! Can't fault anything, the venue looked incredible with the Crown team taking care of most of the decorations for us which helped so much, we also then had a ceremony at the venue and the conservatory room worked perfectly for this, the atmosphere and the lighting made it feel so special! The food was incredible with our guests commenting on how good everything was. We had the bedrooms booked out which was such a great bonus and all our family who stayed at the venue loved the place, topped off by a delicious breakfast the following morning.
Value for money is excellent and I truly couldn't recommend enough Marta and her team and the Crown to future couples. We wish we could do it all over again!

From our first meeting with their Wedding planner, Marta, we were made made to feel so welcomed and her enthusiasm was amazing. We knew very little about organising such a big event however, she helped us to plan everything, guiding us through timings, food and drink preferences, decorations and so much more.

We were invited to a taster evening and even offered the opportunity for extra people to come along to this too if we wanted. The food was absolutely delicious and we left very happy, knowing that we had made the right choice in choosing The Crown for our big day. One thing that stood out at this point was being about to pick 4 dishes per each course for all of our guests to choose from. This was a lovely suprise for us and also for all of our guests too, many of whom commented on how nice it was to have a choice at a wedding!

During the wedding day our guests felt a warming atmosphere. They all told us how magical everything looked and how delicious the food was. At all moments all the staff were so helpful and kind. They were always around to help with anything that anybody needed.

The room was decorated beautifully for us and included a courtyard and an extra room with seats for children to have their own space.

After the day our families stayed the night in the most amazing, spacious and luxurious rooms.
We enjoyed a lovely breakfast buffet the next morning and many of our guests came back to join us from other hotels in Woodstock.

We couldn't have asked for anything more and we feel so lucky to have booked The Crown as our wedding venue. It was where we had one of our first dates and it's a place we have enjoyed so much. From beginning to end we enjoyed a stress free day thanks to Marta and everyone at The Crown going the extra mile. We cannot thank you all enough for everything you have done and we look forward to seeing you all again for another visit soon.

From the moment we walked into the Crown we knew it was the place for our dream wedding. Originally wanting a small wedding of 50 it turned into an even more perfect intimate wedding of just 15 due to the 'C' word. Marta and the team have gone above and beyond to accommodate everything we wanted, they created the most special day making us feel like family. We had our reception at The Crown in October 2022 and it was the perfect wedding venue and better than we could have imagined or hoped for. The venue and rooms are beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff were lovely and so helpful from first thing in the morning until the very end of the day. The Crown itself makes for a very picturesque but relaxed venue. We would very highly recommend to any brides/grooms to be.

Simply incredible. The Crown Inn surpassed all our expectations for a number of reasons. First and foremost it is the quality and professionalism of the team who went out of their way to make sure we felt relaxed and importantly didn't have to think or worry on the day. It felt so reassuring to know we were in safe hands. Secondly the quality of food. Our guests appreciated having a choice of food and it was one of the reasons we selected the Crown. Everyone has said it was the best food they had had at a wedding and the portions were generous, too. Also, the five bedrooms are all huge and beautifully designed with thoughtful amenities. We also really appreciated the flexibility to make the day exactly how we wanted it. Finally a massive thank you to Will and who is one of the nicest and most professional people we have ever met in hospitality. Will and the team quite simply made our day. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves which is exactly what we wanted. It was just so much fun. If you are looking for a high quality venue, amazing food and service and excellent value for money then we would not hesitate to recommend The Crown Inn, Woodstock.

We can’t rate The Crown, Marta and her team more highly. We booked our wedding on 6 weeks’ notice while COVID-19 restrictions were still in place. Marta completely took all stress away from us and planned the day to an impeccably high standard! Marta made the room look amazing, she sorted everything in the background and was on first name terms with most guests by the end of the day ... “Catherine would you like another Aperol Spritz” ... fantastic!! We were blown away by the generosity and personable nature of everyone at The Crown. We will be back!!!

We were really impressed with the high quality of service both leading up to the wedding and on the day itself, fantastic value for money and how welcoming the staff were. We were in regular contact with David beforehand who considered every detail and accommodated our requests to make sure the day was exactly how we wanted it. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The layout worked really well and it was nice to have different areas for the wedding breakfast and dancefloor. It was also really good to be able to give our guests menu options and the food itself was amazing. Our guests commented on how friendly and helpful all of the staff were and we really appreciated all of their support over the whole weekend. We can't thank The Crown enough for making our wedding day perfect and would highly recommend!

From the moment we viewed the crown and met Marta we knew the crown was the perfect venue for us to get married. Marta instantly felt like a friend, she was so easy to get along with and the crown was stunning without adding anything to it. It has a real intimate feeling but still big enough not to feel crammed in. Marta was a dream throughout our whole wedding experience. It literally felt like we had our own wedding planner. She was always a text away with any questions or ideas. Even on our wedding day she was playing Lego and entertaining our children whilst we had our drinks reception! I cannot thank her enough for how much stress she took away with her reassurance and professionalism. All of our guests where so impressed with the food and the portions sizes with all of them saying they’ve never been served such good food at a wedding before. The bar staff were also super friendly and up for fun all evening. The crown was everything we could have ever wanted for our wedding day and will always hold a special place in our hearts! I recommend everyone to have there wedding there!

Everything about having our wedding reception at the crown was perfect. From the very beginning, Marta was incredible in organising our day and guiding us through the process. Lots of people kept asking us if they needed to help, but Marta had it all covered! The venue itself is beautiful and the food was delicious, as well as attentive and friendly service from the rest of the staff - we had loads of great feedback on the food and staff from guests. The rooms are also amazing. Marta was very flexible with what suppliers we used and with decorations, as well as providing recommendations. Not one element of our day could be improved on - The Crown Inn staff covered everything! Would highly recommend!

We could not be happier with the experience we received from The Crown in Woodstock for our Wedding on the 28th May. Marta (Wedding Planner), helped us from start to finish. She was friendly, polite, wanted to make things as smooth as possible. The food was tasty, the location is effortlessly beautiful and our guests were happy. Value for money is brilliant and if you want a fantastic, more laid back wedding venue this would be right up your street! Cant wait to go back there again.

Getting married in the middle of a pandemic seemed like a near impossible challenge. So when our wedding got cancelled with 2 weeks to go in November 2020, we didn't know what to do next.
We decided to push on for a second date offered to us for December, and reached out to Marta and the team at the Crown Inn with 2 weeks notice. Marta was absolutely brilliant with us, helping us with unwavering creativity, flexibility and support (emotional as much as logistical!)
We spent 2 years planning our original large wedding (100+), but in hindsight the day we ended up with was far better than anything we could have hoped or planned for. It was such a simple, relaxed and overwhelmingly happy occasion and we are so grateful for everything Marta and the team did for us - including keeping the kitchen open so late the next day until my adrenaline settled enough for me to eat breakfast :)
We are still in such a happy bubble from our day, and also feel like we've made friends for life in Woodstock. We hugely recommend a more intimate wedding, and even more so a wedding at the Crown Inn. Thank you again Marta and the team :) love Amy & Adam xx

We would 100% recommend having your wedding at the Crown! Marta and the team were absolutely fantastic from start (pre-covid times) to finish (our wedding was in October)!

Marta and team were always very attentive and responsive to our ideas and provided some excellent ones of their own. They were very flexible and very happy to help make it the perfect day we had envisaged, and it really was- we couldn't have asked for a better day!

The venue itself is just beautiful! Has a gorgeous conservatory area where we had our meal (lots of delicious choices- all our guests were totally spoilt and did not know what to pick because it was all so good!) and first dance, and the cosy pub-side for welcome drinks and dancing later- it was really great! It's a gorgeous pub, tbh you could have your wedding there with no extra decorations and it would be lovely! Of course though we did have lots of our own decorations, and the team were brilliant helping us set it all up and taking it all down for us.

We cannot recommend the Crown highly enough. We felt completely safe in their hands, and that is exactly what you want!

We had a small Covid wedding in December 2020 and couldn’t recommend Marta and her team enough. The whole experience was really laid back and flexible and nothing was too much trouble.

Marta responded really quickly to emails and messages and was really keen to tailor our day to exactly what we wanted. The food was amazing and they were really great in dealing with different food allergies and offered a lot of flexibility around the menu.

The venue itself was perfect for what we needed. Unfortunately all of the bedrooms had been booked up by the time we booked our wedding (which was at fairly short notice) so we were unable to stay over but it was great to have a reception venue so close to the Town Hall, where our wedding took place.

The conservatory worked really well as a day and night venue (it looked beautiful in the evening with lots of fairy lights!) and Marta made sure there were plenty heaters in there so no one was chilly.

The noise from the pizza kitchen was quite loud at times (which made it quite difficult for people to hear the speeches etc) but this was our only issue.

Marta was really flexible about music/playlists etc and she put us in contact with some great local businesses (hairdressers and hotels etc) which really helped us to plan our day and keep everything local and convenient, which was great.

We wanted a laid back, stress free wedding and Marta and her team definitely helped us achieve this! They were amazing at dealing with the ever-changing covid rules and keeping everyone as safe as possible.
