As a family-run business and independent venue, we take pride in being able to provide you with the personal touches and flexibility to truly make your Wedding Day as special as you have always dreamed of. We are based in Leicester and offer a choice of three function suites and our stunning bar, we can hold civil ceremonies and Wedding Celebrations from the most intimate to the grandest affair. Each of our function suites has a licence for civil ceremonies and partnerships to take place.

Built in 1792 and boasting a Grade I listed status, The City Rooms is a venue steeped in Georgian history, which is apparent from your very first steps inside. High ceilings, vast windows and grand chandeliers provide the perfect backdrop for your special occasion, with a magnificent Ballroom spanning the entirety of the first floor.

Whether you are planning an intimate event or a more extravagant celebration, the City Rooms can offer the perfect space for you. With three rooms licensed to hold civil ceremonies and a grand Ballroom for up to 200 guests, you can spend your whole day in the fantastic venue.

Beautiful and stunning venue, staff are an asset

What a beautiful and stunning venue. But the staff are a pure asset! My wedding was combined of two different cultural ceremonies with a reception/ party after. The city rooms were alert, professional, hard working and dedicated to making my special day simply amazing. The day from start to finish the staff were all hands of deck, the staff were there to support with our every need. Not sure how the day would have been so successful without them. Thank you for an amazing day, it was perfect. Special thanks to Lianna the wedding coordinator, because of you everything came together. You were just wonderful to work with xx

Beautiful venue and wonderful coordinator

We got married at the city rooms in August, we booked well in advance , upon arrival I was greeted by Carly , from the get go Carly was fantastic , nothing was too big or too small. I didn't even chase after Carly regarding stuff because I just knew she had it all in hand, our wedding day couldn't have run any smoother than it did, all the staff were so friendly and helpful , food was perfect so a big thank you to you all at The City Rooms for a perfect day. We cannot thank you all enough :)

I became Mrs Gurney at this absolutely amazing venue, I can not believe how smoothly the day ran. All the staff are unbelievably amazing, especially Carly Penny. Absolutely no hiccups and the food and drink were to die for. Our wedding day was exactly what we wanted and more. A stunning and magical day. Would highly recommend. Thank you city rooms!! You're perfect

We had our wedding at The City Rooms on the 2nd of September 2016 and we loved every minute, the staff were so friendly and helpful they honestly couldn't do enough for us.

Special thanks to Carly as she helped with all my stresses through the planning stages and emailed me answers to my questions quickly she was also a big help on the day making sure everything ran smoothly. Rosie was also a big help on the day in the evening making sure everything ran to plan and when things did go wrong (as they do) she was very good at sorting everything out. the room was amazing the bedrooms were lovely and the bath was big enough for an elephant it was great! everyone said how amazing the whole day was so thank you so much! Worth every penny!!

My husband and I got married at The City Rooms. The day was simply perfect. Elki and the other staff members were amazing from start to finish. The food was delicious, all of our guests loved it! Thank you for making our special day so incredible!

Amazing and stunning venue

Venue was absolutly amazing we fell in love at first sight, staff was always incrediably helpful and friendly and amazing, they co-ordinated with all of our suppliers towards the end so we didnt have to, they staff went out of there way to get us another wedding cake after our cake couldnt turn up.

Perfect!

From the minute we entered the building we knew this was perfect, the grand ballroom and high standard of decor just added to our delight! All the staff were professional and on hand to help plan the finest details of our wedding day. Quality food at reasonable prices and served in such grand surroundings we couldn''t have wished for more!
