The Amadeus is one of the most distinct and versatile venues to be found in London and is a wonderful space for creating extraordinary wedding receptions. We especially pride ourselves on providing you with a ‘blank canvas’ space – to allow you to design your day exactly as you want. The Amadeus is a space in which to leave your own unique mark on your very special day. With our ‘anything and everything possible’ philosophy it’s certainly a place people come back to again and again.
The Amadeus, formally a Welsh Presbyterian chapel, still retains many of its original features like the Upper Hall’s large elegant windows with stained glass borders that provide wonderful natural illumination. The original pipe organ, wood panelled balcony and graceful Victorian architecture complete the impressive effect to add grandeur to your reception. The smaller Lower Hall, formerly the crypt has a low brick vaulted ceiling naturally creating an intimate atmosphere.
An ideal combination is to hold a drinks reception in the Lower Hall followed by the dinner in the Upper Hall, with a disco or band in either hall afterwards depending on your guest numbers.
Wedding planning can be a daunting task which is why we recommend 6 caterers, all with a wealth of experience in the events industry to support and advise you throughout the process of wedding planning. As well as having the option to bring in your own outside caterers, you can have exactly what you want for your perfect wedding breakfast. We also have a fantastic lighting company who can add a touch of magic to make your wedding a memorable event.
Whatever you decide for your perfect wedding, a wedding reception at The Amadeus is guaranteed to make your day stand out in a space and with a service that is as unique and individual as you are.
