  Our Perfect Wedding

  We got married at The Red Lion in May 2023.
  
  We had an amazing experience every step of the way. Alice, who helped us plan our special day, was amazing. She supported us, she went above and beyond to make sure we had the day we wanted.
  
  The Venue is beautiful
  The Food is Delicious
  The Rooms are comfortable
  
  We got the Wedding we wanted. Everything was perfect!

  Inaudible music quality for service, let tab overrun

  All good up to the event, but for the service no one could hear the songs we’d selected as the speakers crackled so much. We were so disappointed that our carefully selected and meaningful tracks not only couldn’t be heard properly, you could actually recognise what they were. At the evening section we’d put money behind the bar. Half way through the evening we checked how the tab was doing h only to discover they’d set up two tabs which collectively overran by £255 above our budget. We’ve had to pay this, even with recognition that it was their mistake and offer of ‘a meal’ on them to compensate. I have no intention of going back and I wouldn’t spend the equivalent of £255 on a meal if I did. Whilst the money is difficult for us at the moment it’ll be ok in the end, the music however will never be rectified 😢
  The honeymoon suite was ok but the toilet made a noise all night so if you do book it’s worth checking beforehand that everything is in a good state of repair.

  Very Special Day

  Hi Lauren,
  
  Just wanted to drop you a line to say our wedding was very enjoyable, thank you so much for making it such a special day and we couldn't fault anything, we thought it all went very well and we were both very pleased.
  
  Please say a thank you to everyone, the food was excellent, the table decorations and layout worked really well and looked impressive and thanks for decorating our room, that was a very nice appreciated touch.

  Thank you all for your help regarding our recent wedding reception. The staff and food were absolutely fabulous! Lauren and Emma were especially great, getting thrown in at the deep and taking it in their stride. They made sure we felt at ease knowing everything was under control.

All of our guests have said that they also really enjoyed it, the venue as a whole was beautiful, the food was all amazing and everything was so relaxed. So please pass on our thanks to everyone in for making it a perfect day and an exceptionally big thank you to you for being on top of it and making it run like clockwork.

  I write to thank you and your staff for the wonderful service and support they provided at the wedding reception of my daughter Sarah Gruneburg and her husband Howai Lam. The day went with out a hitch, which was much to the credit of your team. In addition your chef's provided excellent food in a timely fashion.

  Francesca and Guy 30/11/2013"Our wedding was arranged with a month’s notice and the staff went above and beyond to give us our special day. Laura was always on hand to offer advice and assistance and I can honestly say that no where would of matched the high standard of service that we received at the Red Lion in Whittlesford Bridge. We opted for the buffet over a sit down meal and the choice of food was fantastic. All the guests commented on how nice the food was and also how relaxed the environment was. The staff were on hand 24/7 to cater to the needs of everyone at the reception. An amazing Restaurant run by amazing staff!"

The Red Lion is a fantastic hotel, the food is exceptional, the staff are fantastic they are so professional but yet so very very friendly, nothing was to much trouble for any of them. All the staff welcomed us with open arms from the moment we arrived. Our wedding went off without a single hitch, we would recommend the Red Lion hotel for any function. A special thank you to all the staff especially Jonathan, Tash, Bess, Danni, Jess, Yann, Lucy, Agatha, Jayade, Emma and Laura Jayne for making our day unbelievable.
