Pam and Ian’s wedding
We were very impressed with the lovely house and the other amenities Duxford Lodge has to offer for weddings. Lucy and her team were very helpful in arranging every aspect of the wedding we were hoping for. They were always available for meetings, phone calls or emails, and allowed us the flexibility we wanted. We were lucky with amazing weather on the day so were able to take advantage of the lovely gardens. We received a lot of compliments from our guests about how lovely they thought the wedding was. -

We had a wonderful day celebrating our wedding at Duxford Lodge in July 2024. The gardens provided a beautiful setting for an outdoor ceremony, with the tipi tent providing the perfect space for our wedding breakfast, where we had 50 guests. The Lodge also had lots of different quirky areas to relax, both indoors and outdoors, which we absolutely loved. The staff on the day were brilliant, making sure everything ran seamlessly and doing the set up for both the ceremony and wedding breakfast, just as we had requested. The 3 course meal was yum, as were the canapes on the lawn, with the evening pizzas on their wood fired pizza oven divine. The lodge steps also provided a perfect setting for photos!
While the communication in the months before the wedding was a little slow at times, which made me slightly nervous, in the week leading up to the wedding I felt everything was in hand and felt much more comfortable. The Lodge also had the added bonus of having 17 beautifully decorated rooms for overnight stays, which were included in the sole venue hire option we chose - with breakfast also included.
Overall, they couldn't do enough for us (recommending suppliers for music, photography and flowers - all local), and they made our day extra special not having to worry about any of the finer details - many thanks again to Kayleigh, Lee and Lucy, and the rest of the team! -

Overall great experience
Whilst our wedding day was great, in fact amazing, there were a few VERY minor issues that we encountered, but not to mention that they also did excel in other areas beyond our expectation.
They were still finding their feet with weddings, so we had to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they were very flexible, understanding and pretty much allowed us to have exactly what we wanted. Communication was good.
Lucy was exceptional in her dealing with us, as well as Craig and the rest of the team. We never felt like a hindrance, and weddings can be stressful, from both sides. Very friendly, professional and relatable.
We believe the pricing to be fair. They set out a clear pricing schedule to follow. Everything was clearly shown.
We had several meetings before, to which all our questions were answered and it made planning the day and evening very streamlined.
Our wedding time line was organised by ourselves, we feel maybe they should keep an eye on the schedule of each wedding and ensure things ran as close as possible.
We didn’t end up cutting our cake till 10pm (we forgot!) but can’t hold them to blame.
Overall, great experience. Have returned since for meals. Always recommend the venue. It’s quirky and modernised. -

Perfect intimate wedding
We had a fabulous wedding and wedding breakfast at Duxford Lodge with 20 people. The staff could not have been more accommodating - they were great to work with in the planning, on the day they delivered to the smallest detail and they were so flexible, making sure we and our party had the best day ever. -

Thank you so much for all your help, leading up to the day, and your help on the day. I would just like to say a big 'Thank you' to all the team members on the day, who could not have done more to ensure that everyone (including me!!) were looked after, and guided through the meal. Wow - what a day!
We got married at The Lodge in July 2022. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. We hired the venue for exclusive use for a couple of days and it was the most amazing experience from first enquiry to the day we left. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, the food was amazing, nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were absolutely amazing - in fact, it is the staff that make this venue exceptional. We can’t wait to hire The Lodge again for an impending BIG birthday 🥰The Lodge, Duxford's reply:

My husband and I got married at The Lodge in September 2023. We decided to have our ceromony on the lawn at the front of the hotel and our reception under the tipi with a hog roast which was absolutely delicious. All our guests had the best time as did we. We had the most incredible day and that was all thanks to the beautiful venue and every single member of staff that works there who made it so special. The event manager Lucy did a fantastic job from start to finish and I can’t thank her enough. Our day went so smoothly without any problems at all. It was all so well organised and so nice to have the ceremony and reception all in one place. We wish we could have our day all over again.
