The Barn at Avington was the perfect venue for our weekend wedding — we truly couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we booked, the team were so helpful, answering every question quickly and making the whole planning process feel smooth and stress-free. Rob and Yasmin are incredibly friendly and always happy to help — nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
The venue itself is stunning and incredibly versatile. We loved being able to turn it into a full weekend celebration: starting with a relaxed BBQ and hilarious Squid Games in the quarry, followed by camping in the bell tents in the field opposite. The large field car park meant everyone could join without any worry.
Our ceremony took place on the beautiful pontoon on the river, which felt magical. Afterward, we had cocktail hour on the lawn, before moving into the barn for the wedding breakfast and reception — it flowed so naturally and created such a great atmosphere. The barn is perfect for a DIY-style wedding with loads of flexibility and some really lovely extras you can use, like tables, chairs and decorations. The barn provide a paid for bar in the evening and a major bonus: no corkage fee during the day!
The on-site cottages were also a huge perk — comfortable, stylish, and ideal for close family and friends. Also the toilets and showers in the barn for those camping are modern, clean, and well-maintained — something guests definitely appreciated! Another massive plus is the setup time: you can start preparing from Tuesday and have until Monday to pack down, which gave us all the breathing space we needed.
We genuinely couldn’t recommend The Barn at Avington more highly — it’s beautiful, practical, and gives you so much freedom to make your wedding weekend truly your own. -

Just Perfect!!
The Barn at Avington is the most perfect and unique venue! We are so glad we chose to get married at the barn. The barn offered us so much more than other venues, they only have one wedding per week, we had flexibility with our choice of suppliers, our guests were able to camp on site with us and most of all we were able to decorate the barn exactly to our taste, meaning we were able to create our perfect wedding day. Beth was absolutely amazing throughout and especially in the week leading up to our wedding where she helped us decorate the barn and make our vision come to life, she even helped us make all of our own flower arrangements!! We would 100% recommend the barn, it is such a special venue! -

The most magical venue that ticked every box for us and just kept getting better throughout the process. We got married here in May 2022, the days surrounding the wedding were just as special as the day itself and our guests are still raving about the beautiful site. We knew we wanted a fun and relaxed barn wedding and we found the Barn at Avington and did not look back once!
We loved everything about the barn but here are some particular highlights:
- We were the only wedding for the week and had the whole week to decorate the barn, this made some amazing memories for us with our friends and family and meant the morning of the wedding was relaxed
- We had friends and family stay over in the cottages/glamping/camping so had drinks and rounders the night before and then a huge brunch with 50 people the next morning which meant we got more time to see and speak with everyone as the day goes so fast!
- The barn has so many useful things already there such as candles/vases etc so we didn't need to buy any of these things
- Beth is AMAZING! So helpful and responsive with ideas and planning. We made our own bouquets and Beth turned into a florist tutor! There seems to be nothing she cannot do. From the first enquiry email, Beth was so helpful and responsive unlike other venues we had looked at.
- All our other suppliers had nothing but good things to say about the venue which meant the day ran well with everything they needed.
- The barn is a blank canvas, this is great for people who want to put their own mark on their wedding but you do have to account for hiring tables/chairs if having more than a few guests but the barn has good connections and this was easy.
- The bar was cheap! Our friends were paying £3 for a beer rather than the £8 we had paid at other weddings!
Overall we had the best weekend at the barn and would recommend it to anyone! -

Stunning Venue
Me and my partner got married at The Barn in July 2022.
We picked The Barn as it had an absolutely stunning location by the river, and it was a venue that allowed us to have the wedding we wanted, not the rinse and repeat we had found other venues seemed to offer. And, a HUGE selling point was the fact we could involve our dogs, which is something none of the other venues we viewed seemed to offer.
Beth was absolutely amazing both before, during and even after our wedding. She really makes this venue 5*.
Would highly recommend The Barn to anyone thinking of getting married. I don’t think we would have had such an amazing day if we’d chosen another venue. Thanks guys x -

Incredible, supportive, creative and unique
The Barn at Avington and Beth made our dreams come true, what more could you want!! My husband and I (!!) loved every second of our wedding day surrounded by the most beautiful countryside with several amazing photo spots, Beth and her incredible support and the ability to truly make the space in and surrounding the barn reflect our vision. We would highly recommend the barn for your wedding. -
