Second To None
My daughter held her wedding at Prested Hall last Saturday and I can't praise the staff and venue enough.
The organisation was second to none and everything was completely seamless on the day.
Guests were totally unaware when all the equipment was being delivered for the evening reception, despite this being done whilst the wedding breakfast was taking place. The staff helped us to set up our table decorations and even improved on our ideas.
The meals were huge portions, piping hot and absolutely delicious. I was a little worried that we had decided on the vegan Panna Cotta as one of our dessert choices, as it's a difficult option to make vegan, but it was amazing.
After the speeches, all our guests were ushered into the lounge, bar and library areas for tea and coffee and the staff moved all the tables ready for the evening reception and the DJ set up the dance floor for the disco in the Orangery, whilst at the same time the evening buffet table, sweet table and magic selfie mirror were all set up in the Oak Room. Again, all this was done behind the scenes and guests were totally unaware of this going on. The staff even moved some of our table decorations into the Oak Room to make sure everything looked amazing.
The evening buffet was freshly prepared and there was more than enough to go round. After the traditional cutting of the cake, the three different cakes were cut and portions laid out beautifully on a separate table, each in its own serviette.

Absolutely perfect in every way
Our daughter's wedding here was a 'Twilight Ceremony and Reception' at Prested Hall for around 90 guests and we also booked all their accommodation for the wedding party.
The Groom's family and some friends travelled from the US and honestly, Emily and her team at Prested couldn't have done enough for us all.
Absolutely perfect in every way - the buffet was amazing and the rooms quaintly perfect.
A superb 'morning after' buffet breakfast in the orangery for the guests that stayed. Cannot praise it enough.

Such a magical day
Our wedding day was such a magical day, thanks to Prested Hall Hotel.
My wife and I feel like we are only now getting back to normality since getting wed a month ago at Prested Hall.
What a crazy journey, but so much fun and our wedding day was such a magical day.
Leanne Walsh (Events Manager) and her team deserve all our praise for making our wedding such a wonderful event.
Their help and support from when we first approached them to be our wedding venue, all the way through the build up, the wedding day itself and on departure, the following day after breakfast - they were absolutely marvellous.
From helping guests on the day and guiding my wife and I through the wedding, Leanne and her team were brilliant and we couldn't have asked for a better venue, a better team or a better day.

The Perfect Wedding Location!
The perfect wedding location- it was stunning.
The ceremony was held outside in the grounds by the river, followed by the wedding breakfast in the beautiful marquee.
As the sun shone hotter, one side of the marquee was completely opened by staff to give a lovely breeze and beautiful backdrop.
We moved into the main house for the evening reception. Staff were attentive yet discreet and all I can say is that it was absolutely perfect in every way.
We stayed overnight in a large room with a huge bed. A couple of stairs led down to the separate toilet and enormous bathroom, with a big, Art Deco style bath.
Homemade biscuits and a large bottle of water were a lovely touch in the room.
A big thank you to all of the staff, but especially to our son and new daughter-in-law's wedding planner Emily, so friendly, kind, understanding and helpful yet so professional in every respect.
I would not hesitate to recommend here for a wedding, we will treasure the memories forever.The perfect wedding location- it was stunning.

Absolutely Amazing
We had our wedding here on Thursday 28th December. Absolutely amazing. Staff in particular - Kathryn was just delightful. Nothing is too much trouble. Food delicious, venue perfect and so welcoming. Cannot speak highly enough of Prested Hall and give it 100% for making our day as prefect as it was. You all did an amazing job and any bride and groom to be should not even consider anywhere else to have their special day. The whole experience was brilliant
We had a fantastic reception at Prested Hall after getting married in our local church.
The whole experience was brilliant, we booked around 10 months prior to the date, our wedding planner supported us throughout the planning and was so lovely and helpful.
The price for the whole venue including all the bedrooms in Prested Hall was very competitive.
The venue is beautiful and was perfect for a festive wedding with large fireplaces, log burner and beams together with beautiful Christmas trees and garlands.
We were thrilled with the whole day, the staff throughout Prested were so friendly and helpful. Thanks to the planning, our visits over the months and my confidence in the venue and our wedding planner we were able to completely enjoy the day.
We highly recommend Prested Hall as a wedding and reception venue. The accommodation included has family suites, double rooms and twin, catering for a range of guests and needs.

A Dream Come True
We held our December 22nd 2017 wedding at Prested Hall. We are so happy we chose this venue as it truly did make our wedding day a dream come true. Rachel Hull was our wedding advisor at the venue and she is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble or too much effort. All of our guests commented on how beautiful everything looked and the food was superb. The whole day ran so smoothly and I have no doubt at all that this was down to Rachel and other members of staff. We wanted an intimate cosy welcoming wedding and prested Hall delivered, it ticked all the boxes. We also found it most convenient that 10 of us could stay the night before in the apartments. Our day was flawless!
My new husband and I got married at Prested Hall 2nd December and words cannot describe just how wonderful this venue is. Our day was flawless and this was entirely down to the fantastic staff and most especially our excellent wedding planner Kathryn. The whole planning process was completely free of stress thanks to the guidance and hard work of Kathryn. We really cannot praise her high enough. The venue has an intimate / warm vibe to it and we felt instantly relaxed whenever we visited. This was enhanced by the fact every single staff member encountered was extremely helpful and friendly, nothing ever too much trouble. Our guests were universally delighted with their rooms which were all immaculate and combined character with modern convenience. My Mum has mobility problems and stayed in the ground floor bedroom. She could not stop raving about how wonderful the room was, especially the bathroom which was huge with a walk in shower. There is a choice of 2 bridal suites, the “Dingle” which is a little cottage away from the main building or room 1 within the main hotel. We picked the latter because it was beautifully characterful with wooden beams, a huge bed and bath with stunning views of the lake. The food served was plentiful and sumptuous, we had many compliments from guests commenting that it was the best food they’d eaten at any wedding. High praise indeed! Staff as ever were attentive throughout the meal and drinks were flowing. The venue itself is set amongst picturesque Essex countryside which as nature enthusiasts we really loved. However it also benefits from excellent transport links and is easily accessible by road and public transportation. Thank you Prested Hall!
Prested Hall was the only wedding venue that we visited. We fell in love with it straight away. We wanted a venue that was relatively secluded but not hard to find, exclusively ours once booked and had a country house feel without being so big that our wedding guests ended up divided in to different rooms. Prested Hall provided us with all of these with an added and unexpected bonus, Kathryn Everitt. We had expected to plan our whole wedding so when we found out that our booking with Prested came with an event planner we were instantly feeling a little less stressed. We dealt with two great members of staff before Kathryn was allocated to us for our big day. All of the staff are friendly and nothing feels like it is too much trouble. Kathryn and the rest of the team had everything covered from the moment we booked to the minute we checked out the day after our wedding. This meant that we could enjoy our day knowing that everything would be perfect. Even if there were any hiccups on the day we still don't know about them even now as the staff at Prested had everything covered. The most amazing and special day
My husband and I recently held our wedding at Prested Hall and simply had the most amazing and special day.
The day itself took place after a relatively short engagement of six months, but despite the limited time frame, our ceremony and reception were delivered without a hitch, and without any stress. We wanted an intimate and personalised wedding, and this is exactly what we were given by the wonderful team at Prested. Melissa, our wedding co-ordinator, provided helpful advice, great communication and took care to understand our requirements. We finished the day off in style with a stay in the beautiful bridal suite. Other members of our families stayed too, and joined us for breakfast the following morning which was lovely.
