We’d really recommend this venue to any couples planning their wedding – it was everything we hoped for and more.
We had the most incredible day, even with the rain! The venue was absolutely beautiful and had such a warm, welcoming feel. There were so many lovely spots for photos, and it all came together to create a relaxed, joyful atmosphere that our guests are still talking about.
Georgia and the team were brilliant – so well organised, attentive, and genuinely helpful from the very beginning. Georgia in particular made everything feel easy. She was calm, thorough, and nothing was ever too much trouble. We felt really supported throughout the whole process and on the day itself, which made such a difference.
The marquee was perfect – it looked gorgeous for the wedding breakfast and turned into the dancefloor effortlessly for the evening. One thing we especially loved was how the venue had quieter spaces available, so guests who needed a break could take some time out without feeling like they were missing anything.
Another big plus was the affordability of drinks – our guests really appreciated this, and it helped keep the atmosphere relaxed and inclusive.
I also have to mention how much I loved staying in Wysteria Cottage with my bridesmaids the night before the wedding. It was the perfect space to get ready in – beautifully decorated, lots of room for hair and makeup, a fully working kitchen, and really comfy beds. It felt calm and special, and it meant so much that Georgia had breakfast brought over for us in the morning so we could avoid bumping into the groom!
In terms of feedback – and we really had to think hard – it would’ve been helpful if guests could have booked and paid for their rooms directly (maybe with a code), rather than the responsibility falling to us if someone didn’t pay (wasn't an issue for us though).
We had the best day. The venue, the team, the setting – it all came together so perfectly. We’re so grateful to everyone involved and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others. -

Missenden Abbey is everything and more that you want from a Wedding Venue. Not only is the setting the most beautiful with incredible grounds and amazing history but the service you receive is second to none.
When we booked our appointment to check out this venue which at the time was the first of 4 we were absolutely astounded.
Natasha our wedding planner was so amazing and led us through all the necessary preparations in an open and honest manner. She has so much experience that gives you complete confidence that she will deliver your Wedding just as you want with lots of added extras.
All the team at Missenden Abbey are so attentive and a pleasure to speak to whenever needed.
Every time we visited we were so looked after whether for Afternoon Tea, Drinks at the Bar, General Planning Meetings or Food Tasting for the Wedding.
The service is outstanding and is so genuine.
The day of the Wedding we were blessed with a beautiful day and were able to marry under the Cedar Tree which was a magical and mystical delight.
All our guests loved every minute and we had the most unforgettable day.
We would highly recommend as being the perfect venue in every way.

We couldn’t have asked for a more breathtaking venue for our wedding. The surroundings were idyllic, with the marquee blending the beauty of nature seamlessly, giving the perfect feeling of being both inside and outside at once for our evening celebration. The bridal getting ready room was stunning, featuring a gorgeous stained glass window that made those special moments even more magical. Seeing our guests and the groom on the terrace as the anticipation built was an unforgettable experience that will always stay with me.
A huge thank you to Natasha, Georgia, and Kathy, who were phenomenal from start to finish. Special recognition to Natasha for her meticulous planning and to Georgia and Kathy for executing the day flawlessly. Their dedication, warmth, and professionalism made everything feel effortless.
We also want to give a heartfelt mention to the head chef and his team. The food was second to none, with guests raving about every course. A particularly lovely touch was the chef preparing special waffles for my son on the morning of the wedding, making the day even more personal and memorable.
It was the most magical and perfect day we could've asked for, I'm so glad we chose Missenden Abbey to begin our next chapter in life. -

We loved every moment of our special day. This was with huge thanks to the staff and all the support they gave us.
From the day we visited the venue during an open day, we knew we were set on making it our wedding venue. It was beautiful and the staff were immediately friendly and inviting. The atmosphere was very fitting with us as a couple. We had one of the best experiences of our lives. The members of staff were professional and outstanding in supporting us with everything.
Communications with the wedding coordinator Natasha as well as her assistant Georgia were straightforward and super helpful. There was never any doubt of how things were going to pan out during the day. We knew it was going to be amazing.
The food was also amazing. We had a taster session prior to the wedding where we got to taste canapes/starters/mains/desserts, and on the day it was exactly how we imagined, if not better!
We highly recommended any future couples to book this venue for their special wedding day or any special event! -

We looked at several venues within this price range but ended up choosing Missenden Abbey for their clear pricing and the layout of the venue.
We only had a small wedding of 60 guests so we were keen to find a venue where we still had distinct spaces for each part of the wedding day, but without any of the rooms feeling too big & empty.
We had our ceremony & reception in the garden room, using another indoor dining room for our wedding breakfast. Due to not having a wedding the day before we were also able to set up the wedding breakfast & ceremony decor the day before which really took some anxiety away from the day itself. We loved that the venue was a blank canvas inside in neutrals but with beautiful details & a stunning exterior that we could decorate to our tastes.
The way the pricing packages was set up made it really easy for us to get to grips with how much it was going to cost so we could budget accordingly. At the same time, the packages were very flexible meaning we could have exactly the food & drinks etc that we wanted and keep within budget.
Overall we had an amazing day and we're so glad that we chose Missenden Abbey as our venue. -

My husband and I got engaged 2 years ago and recently got married at Missenden on the 31st August. From the moment we visited the venue we knew this was the place we want to get wed. The scenery, beautiful grounds and amazing hosting, customer service and welcoming environment . All the staff were incredibly friendly, but our wedding Coordinator Natasha was outstanding. From start to finish she made our wedding feel seamless and was always on hand to answer questions (at the speed of lightening may I add!!). I couldn't recommend this venue enough. I must also mention that the food was outstanding too! We had so many compliments from our guests about their wedding breakfast meal and the buffet. It was honestly the best decision we made, and we will be going back in the near future for afternoon tea. Thank you to everyone at Missenden for making our day magical.

Our dream wedding
Natasha and her team were amazing, welcoming, friendly and accommodating from the first day of looking at the venue, all the way through the booking process and the big day.
They were flexible with our needs and wishes and we had the most amazing day.
A lot of our guests stayed at the accommodation for both the night before and on the night of the wedding. Everybody commented how beautiful the venue was and so was the food too.

We cannot thank Natasha and the team at Missenden Abbey enough. The amount of effort they put into our day was outstanding. As the bride I was very relaxed and calm and I enjoyed every single moment of the day and that’s how to the planning, organising and support of the venue.
I had my vision and it was excelled and so much more. Throughout the process Natasha would reply to countless emails and any hick-ups on the way they were fixed.
Throughout our day we did have a fire alarm which delayed us by half an hour however the venue gave us half an hour extra of the bar service at the end of the night to compensate.
I also requested Indian buffet which was not on the menu and the chef made an outstanding spread of food. All the food was brilliant our guests loved 3 course meal that was on option.
We cannot thank the venue enough for the beautiful day we had. -
