Perfect Barn Wedding in the Lakes
Our perfect wedding. Cannot recommend enough if you are looking for a barn wedding in the Lakes. The venue is stunning, the views spectacular, the staff so nice and helpful. We had a ceilidh wedding and the venue was perfect for that. We also rented the venue for a Friday night legal ceremony and welcome drinks for all of our guests and it was lovely. The proximity to Ambleside as well was perfect for all the guests that we had in town.
Sharon the owner is incredibly kind and helpful, and was so generous with her time and recommendations.
Annabel Candler, the coordinator they have partnered with, was wonderful throughout the entire process. We used her list of recommendations for all of our suppliers and they were all great. And Emma who was the coordinator on the day did a spectacular job keeping everything smooth and on schedule seamlessly.
Want to give a special shout out to all the bartenders who worked the bar for both Friday and Saturday. They were so nice and fun, and all of our guests were raving about them.
In addition, when you book the venue, you get access to Crow How for the weekend, which was such a lovely BnB, and Jill the owner of it was so nice and helpful for the entire weekend and when we wanted to extend our stay.
Thank you so much for letting us use the venue for our special day. It was better than we could have imagined!

Barn in the Fells, The venue I have always dreamed of!
Sharon and the staff were so kind and helpful, from booking our first walk round tour to the wedding day itself.
The venue is beautiful and there is so much flexibility for what you can create.
Annabel & Kat, made the day work perfectly with help and guidance along the way but making sure it’s just how you want it!
The views are just unbelievable! We had very mixed weather but it was still perfect!
We can not thank everyone enough, it was the most perfect day and we wouldn’t change a thing!Barn in the Fells's reply:

We had the most magical day getting married at Barn In the Fells, it was the perfect spot for us. The barn is full of endless charm, perfectly wonderful imperfections and the most gorgeous, intimate ceremony room.
Annabel, Sharon and Jill were the BEST wedding team we could have wished for. Annabel just knew how to put everyone at ease, fix anything not quite going to plan - including turning into James (Jane?) Bond when an adorable little flower girl locked us out of the barn right as I was due to walk down the aisle! Dashing at high speed across the farm, leapfrogging anything and anyone in her way to let us back in, is apparently included in her services too!! Annabel kept us calm at the most important points of the day, sent us off for little breaks together so that we could soak it all up and was just generally the glue of the day - you're the best!
Sharon the owner was with us to set up, and make sure the day ran smoothly too - again, no question was too much and boy did Sharon deserve her cup of tea (or wine?!) at the end of the setting up day on Friday. Literally everything was done with the biggest smile on her face, we also had the extra bonus of gorgeous Dolly the sheepdog supervising us all.
Our stay at Crow How, the guest house on site was equally as magical as everything else. Jill the owner was as lovely as everyone else, so so helpful - took multiple packages in for us, helped us with champagne glasses and made all of our family staying there feel so welcome. The rooms were all stunning, and the views out of the windows are to die for. We didn't want to leave!
The location of Barn In the Fells and Crow How is just perfect, close enough for family and friends to stay in Ambleside or Bowness, but intimate/out of the way enough to feel like you're really in the Fells, in the true Lake District countryside.
We honestly couldn't recommend it enough, and hope many more couples get to experience the Barn (and team that come with it!) for their special day. Thank you BITF!! Hannah and James xxx -

The Best Wedding!
Sharon and Annabel helped us organise the best wedding anyone could ask for. Annabel was always on hand and happy to offer advise and guidance throughout the whole process. We absolutely loved our day and the stay At Crow How was amazing. We highly recommend anyone wanting a barn wedding to use Barn in the Fells. Lots of love Sam and Charlotte. -

We could not have chosen a more perfect location to have our wedding! Sharon and Hogg were the most amazing hosts for us and made sure the barn was all set. They were there all day and ensured everything ran smoothly. Barn in the Fells is just stunning, we fell in love with the rustic vibe and knew it would suit us perfectly. We loved how Crow How was included with the package so our bridal party could stay for the full weekend and it made the dressing of the venue such an enjoyable and stress free experience! We want to do the day all over again! The grounds were just beautiful, from the farm fields with sheep to the stunning gardens and views of the hills, everything was just so special. We cannot thank you enough and would highly recommend to anyone! -

We got married at Barn in the Fells in July and it was the most perfect day. We booked the barn 2 years ago when the cows had only just been moved to their new home but we saw Sharons vision and my goodness has she outdone herself. The barn is absolutely beautiful and full of character but also a total blank canvas for couples to decorate however they wish to and make their wedding dream come true.
Sharon and her team were the most perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Hogg even let our flower girls feed their newborn lamb!
Having Weddings By Annabel as part of the package was a huge bonus as Annabel’s knowledge and experience really helped us during the planning process and then having Lindsey with us co-ordinating on the day making sure everything ran smoothly on the day and kept it totally stress free for us and our bridal party.
We cant thank the BITF team enough for making our dream come true and cannot recommend this venue enough to everyone.

Barn in the Fells was the perfect setting for our fairytale day. Annabel, the coordinator who works with the venue, was a total dream and made everything simple from our first call through to the day itself. No task too big or small! Sharon & Hogg, the owners, were also so friendly and kind and very understanding when we were a bit frazzled and setting up last thing at night on the Friday!
The use of Crow How is such a bonus, not only because of its gorgeous gardens and views to Loughrigg, but the drawing room was where the bridal party got ready and it was such a special space with the lighting. It was also wonderful to be able to put up our nearest and dearest on site!
The barn itself was beautiful for our ceremony, dinner, and evening entertainment. It's such a versatile space and it looks fantastic in all our photos.
We would do it all again in a heartbeat if we could! -

Perfect, professional & personal
Thank you to Annabel, Sharon, Hogg and the rest of the team! We had the most special day made so easy and effortless by the work of them all. We loved the DIY wedding approach to be able to make it our own but needed some support which Annabel gave throughout our preparations and planning. She helped to guide us through ensuring that we focused on the things that mattered and would enhance our day! On the day, it went so smoothly down to the team and we were just able to enjoy every moment!
It is a wonderful idyllic venue deep in the heart of the lakes surrounded by stunning scenery. The rustic and natural feel of the barn was perfect and wowed all our guests!
We wish we could do it all again!!! Thank you!!!! -
