TransAtlantic Wedding

So first important point in the review Groom (English), Bride (American) and we live in the US. When we decided to go for a UK wedding we looked at a number of place's in the Bath, Somerset area and the first thing that jumped out at us was Georgina (Webbington wedding planner) was so much more engaged and on the ball than others we had meet. We loved the location, setting, menu options, but Georgina was a huge bonus. This turned out to make the planning and organizing from the other side of the pond almost straight forward.
On the catering side, we have a number of people with quite severe allergic reactions - fish, diary, nuts, mustard, mango. The Chef and the team were fantastic in working around these, getting us additional options and making versions of things that accommodated for this.
The list of vendors that the Webbington provide was amazing and covered everything with people they have used in the past. Photographer, flowers, cake, makeup, pianist.... We took a look at the portfolio's and decided which we liked best and that was a great help (again from the other side of the Atlantic).
The day itself went perfectly and was all we could have hoped for.
All in all A* to Georgina, Webbington and the team.

ps (The Americans who came over loved the English countryside setting)...

Perfect Wedding Experience

My son and daughter in law just got married here and we had the best day!! ALL the staff were faultless - from the wedding coordinator, Georgina, to restaurant manager and staff. They were so friendly, polite and attentive , they truly could not do enough for us. We had a fairly large family party staying over the weekend of the wedding, and the hotel set aside a section of the restaurant for us to eat together for the entire stay. They had everything covered on the day - it was perfect despite the inclement weather! A room was provided for our hair and make up ladies on the day when we asked - in fact every request or query was met with 'no problem - of course!' Thank you Webbington and your amazing staff!

Best day of our lives!

We loved every second of planning our wedding with Webbington! The venue is gorgeous, very spacious and a blank canvas for you to tailor. If we weren’t already set on the venue, Webbington’s in-house coordinator is the icing on the cake. Georgina was an angel from the first day we met - nothing was too much work and every worry raised was quashed within seconds. We feel so blessed to have had our special day at such a lovely venue. If I have to choose something that could be improved/should be considered, the venue didn’t seem to have AC so our (very hot) summer wedding was a bit sticky!

Great from start to finish

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The Hotel was set up perfectly for our wedding.
Communication with the wedding planner was excellent and everything was how we had wanted it to be on the day. The views were beautiful and rooms excellent.

Fantastic Day

Last year we planned our wedding for march 2017 due to a cardiac arrest of the brides mother who was seriously ill for many months involving a 2 month stay in hospital and a lengthy home recovery my future wife took the decision to postpone our wedding from the original date in March. We were both worried and concerned for her health at this very difficult time. Having already paid a hefty part of the cost of our wedding we were both blown away with the way the Webbington hotel handled this unforeseen event, we were fully expected to be told tough luck you have lost your money, but to our delight and without even asking we were told about a clause for cancellations of weddings in exceptional circumstances which this was classed as. When things had settled down and her health was improving we chose another date for November. Our original wedding planner who has since left the Webbington showed great compassion and understanding to our needs in a difficult time when she took that phone call she will be forever in our debt.

Moving on to 25th November 2017 we made it to the webbington to get married sat by our side was the brides mother who is not fully recovered or totally mobile but able to enjoy the day with everyone else. Lucy our new wedding planner was bombarded with requests and our several seating plans changes in the run up to the big day, all these were put into place . We both thought the day was organised well and ran very smoothly and professionally.the Tiak suit was beautifully laid out and flower petals lining the floor as we walked down the aisle Jamie did a awsome job on MC

Beautiful Venue

Beautiful venue for a wedding!
So we arrived for our friends wedding. The buildings exterior immediately looked absolutely breathtaking. Such beautiful edwardian style beams, look a cottage with multiple extensions haha.

Once we stepped inside it was like being taken in to another world. The staff were charming, professional and just perfect.

The bedroom served its purpose. The bed was really comfortable, my only complaint if there was one is how thin the walls seem to be. We can hear every noise coming from the couple in the next room, but in an old styles building, it's expected.

All in all, highly recommended!
And can't wait to stay again.

Fantastic Venue

Fantastic Wedding venue
We had our wedding reception at the Webbington Hotel on 11/07/2017 and it was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially Jamie and Lucy and kept us up to date with everything going on around us. The honeymoon suite Was perfect and spotless. Only Thing that i wasn't to happy about is that they took the cake away very early and no one knew where it had gone; but was found later on that evening.
