Phoebe (wedding coordinator) is worth her weight in gold!
We loved our wedding at The Grange Hotel and Phoebe was AMAZING. She made it work for us and was so helpful. She went above and beyond, clearly working very hard in the background to make it right. It is a lovely location, a lovely hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The flexibility of space to use is also a bonus, as you have the outside areas, the gazebos to get married in (if the weather is okay), the lovely downstairs room for the wedding breakfast, and then the upstairs room for the evening do. Plus the views over the sands.
All our guests commented on how good the food was, how nice the setting and the staff were, and how nice the bedrooms were, with some lovely views at the front. We can't recommend enough. Perfect venue but disappointing new coordinator
We had a great viewing of The Grange and Phoebe was knowledgeable and lovely. I emailed a few questions over, to then find out Phoebe had left and someone had taken over for her.
Although I hadn't had answers to a couple of emails and some of my questions, we decided to go ahead and try to book The Grange for our wedding, so I emailed saying as such, with our deposit ready to go. A few weeks later, after we had still had no response, I emailed saying I was disappointed and upset to not have had a response even to us wanting to book and for them to take a deposit! The response I got back was unprofessional and quite frankly, rude. As hospitality workers ourselves, we would never had conversed with customers in the way in which we were spoken to on email. I am devastated because the venue and the team we met on viewing were brilliant and couldn't have done any more for us, and the venue ticked every box, but with how we were spoken to I wouldn't feel comfortable holding our wedding there. We work in hospitality ourselves, and my fiance, who is normally the laid back, non-argumentative one out of us both, was furious with the reply we received and only didn't try to take it further because it wouldn't have benefited us. I am so glad we weren't a couple who had booked and planned it with Phoebe to have no option but to have our wedding after being treated like that.We had a great viewing of The Grange and Phoebe was knowledgeable and lovely. Wedding Heaven!
We were married at the beautiful Grange Hotel in July 2015 and were over the moon with our choice of venue. The new honeymoon suite is absolutely gorgeous and has its own balcony with woodland views. Words really cannot describe the quality of the venue or the atmosphere and service. If you want to have the very best start to married life and to know that your family and friends are being treated like royalty too, the Grange Hotel is for you. Fairytale Wedding Venue!
We were married at the Grange Hotel in October, 2013. We could not have asked for a lovelier, happier place to be married. We looked at about 15 venues before we chose the Grange. The reason it stood out is because they only ever hold one wedding each day, and the setting, facilities, gardens and lovely staff are impossible to beat! We were offered full use of all 4 amazing function rooms for our celebrations. And deciding which of the 4 honeymoon suites to choose was so difficult because they're all gorgeous. Another important bonus is that the packages are all clearly itemised so you know exactly what you are getting with no hidden extra expenses to shock you. Some venues even told us we had to have a ridiculous minimum spend, whereas the Grange let us use their fantastic silver candelabras for our table décor, and pretty glass & silver lanterns to light up the aisle - with their compliments. It`s this kind of generous spirit that sets them apart. Most of all, we felt we were in professional and safe hands. Angela, the Wedding Co-ordinator is an absolute gem and helped us to organise our perfect dream wedding, even though we had some quite strange requests! Brian, the Master of Ceremonies had us all laughing and relaxed. It was such a fabulous day! Our families were so impressed with the venue that many of them have returned for short breaks since our wedding! That says a lot. We`re looking forward to going back to celebrate our First Anniversary later this year - with a little addition to our family who is due to arrive in August!We were married at the Grange Hotel in October, 2013.
