  Helpful from start to finish

  We have always wanted to get married at this venue and they were a pleasure to deal with.
  
  They made the day special and couldn’t do enough during the build up to the ceremony, and beyond,

  Despite everything, it was perfect

  We are so glad we choose Temple Newsam as our ceremony venue, and couldn't have asked more of them particularly given the ongoing pandemic. Despite the restrictions, we had a day to remember, which was seamless.
  The venue is exquisite and looks incredible at every angle. We've had many compliments at just how stunning it is (and it is as good in real life as it is in photos).
  But choosing a venue isn't just about the setting - the staff are crucial. And we couldn't recommend the staff at Temple Newsam any more highly. They have been professional, courteous and understanding. Ian has a calming effect and when he didn't know the answer he went above and beyond to find out - just what any couple needs, but in particular when rearranging a wedding due to COVID. Nothing is too much trouble for the team, we even made changes on the morning. They are easy to contact, understanding and talked us through a very challenging decision to move with honesty and openness. Ian worked closely with the registrars to get the answers we needed, when we needed them.

  Best day Ever Testimonial!!!

  Temple Newsam will always be a special place for us - we literally had the perfect day!! It has everything you could possible want in a venue; history, a great hall, courtyard, veranda overlooking a fountain, garden and a luscious carpeted drinks reception room! Our guests faces lit up as they entered the hall to be seated and they floated around the hall and veranda holding prosecco afterwards - they were absolutely beaming and so were we! We were inundated with comments about 'how beautiful everything was' (I think a lot of people thought it cost more than it did), Ultimately we got married in a beautiful house surrounded by a beautiful garden and a bunch of incredible awed guests and we have the most amazing pictures to remember the day - we would change nothing!! Even months later people are still talking about it!! There are a lot of venues out there but I wanted to leave this review because I felt that the staff at Temple Newsam really treated us like we were 'special' - they were prompt, reliable and incredibly organized. We didn't lift a finger. They made sure everything ran so smoothly that it was seamless. From initial booking to the day we never had to chase and felt that everything was completely under control. And at the other side now of preparing for a wedding you NEED to know your venue are sound!

  Perfect

  Every part of our civil partnership went as well as it could have thanks to the staff at Temple Newsam. The house felt like our own as we were allowed to move freely between rooms among beautiful antiques without ever feeling we were in a museum being watched. Wonderful caterers, florists and hotels in the area meant everything we wanted was easy to perfect and guests well catered for. Will never be able to thank Temple Newsam enough for helping us put it all together and regularly telling me to relax!
