  The perfect day

  We made an everlasting memory for ourselves, family and friends by choosing to have our wedding at this venue.
  The grounds and venue in our pictures are exactly what we wanted and more. The whole day was sheer perfection.

  Simply Wonderful

  I cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us to make the day as smooth and fun as it was. Marcelle and Catherine the wedding co-ordinators were amazing at introducing us to the hotel and undertaking all tasks asked of them over the two years planning our wedding.
  
  Marcelle kept in constant contact with both my husband and I and was always quick to email back and supply us with decisions and keeping us informed of what was going on.
  
  We were always greeted with warmth and the actual day was no different. Every guest commented on how friendly all the staff were and Gianni was a gentleman making sure I was calm and knew what was going on at all times.
  
  The Quality of food was is superb. The chef is an absolute credit and the drinks were excellent. There was no food left…that said it all. The food and drinks were delivered quickly and with wonderful flare.
  
  We were stunned about how much we could get for our money.
  
  One of our guests did not tell us she was vegan however when the staff found out they went out of their way to prepare a special meal for her. I was so impressed. It was all so easy and smooth, the staff could not have been more attentive.
  
  My parents dealt with the payment of the wedding. It was well explained, they felt confident that all was correct and at no point did they feel pressured to settle the bill and all the bedrooms were settled with ease.
  
  Special recognition to Marcelle our wedding co-ordinator for helping us plan our amazing day and inspiring us with new ideas and accepting all our mad ideas and running with them. She was amazing from start to finish.

  I Wish I could do it all again!

  Hi Marcelle – Well..back to work with a bang for us today! Can’t believe the last two weeks have flown by so quickly. Anyway we just wanted to thank you and all the staff who were at our wedding for making it such a special day. Everything went like clockwork and we both thoroughly enjoyed the day. We’ve had loads of compliments on the food served, how nice the rooms were, the flow of the day and the surroundings. The young staff who served dinner and were around for most of the night were brilliant – very discreet, quick and kept the wine flowing at just the right speed for our guests. Please can you pass on our thanks to them. Andy and I both wanted to mention that we appreciated very much the honesty of the hotel/staff around the wine that was unused during the meal.
  We were asked if we wanted to continue serving this unused wine in the evening as we’d already been charged and we agreed. We felt this was really fair and very honest of the team – I’m sure some hotels wouldn’t have told us wine was leftover so thank you for that too.
  Breakfast in the morning was well organised, great quality and our guests really liked the set up and it let us spend more time with our guests.
  It was just a fabulous experience with Houstoun House. I wish I could do it all again!

  5 Star Wow

  My new husband and I got married here on Friday 12th June and on behalf of both of us we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Houstoun House for their first class service and attention prior to, during and post our special day!!! All the staff were extremely pleasant and attentive to detail, there was nothing too much trouble. We booked our wedding function back In October 2014 and basically all we had to do was turn up on the day, everything was taken care of. I would especially like to mention our fabulous wedding co-ordinator Marcelle, such a pleasure and delight to work with and every request was met accordingly, we would also like to say a huge thank you to Operations Manager Marcin, he was in attendance throughout our wedding function and ensured every detail was to high standard. We were so fortunate to have our ceremony in their outstanding grounds which are maintained to perfection, the location is just ideal and amazing for photo opportunities, it was a true Fairytale dream wedding, we both couldn't be any happier or satisfied! Our reception room was beautifully prepared and meals were superb. And as for the Honeymoon Suite in Room 23, WOW!!!!!! It's one of the most beautiful and luxurious rooms we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The giant bed was soooo comfortable and lush, i could go on and on and on!!!! From start to finish we received outstanding service. We will definitely be returning hopefully on a regular basis and look forward to many more celebrations here in the future as Mr & Mrs Tomaszewscy!!!! Thank you MacDonald Houstoun House Hotel for our fabulous memorable wedding day, we will cherish the memories forever!

  Brilliant!

  My daughter had there Wedding Reception at this Hotel on Saturday 28/3/15. What can I say! This Hotel and there staff were brilliant! The room was beautiful and the Wedding meal was amazing. Everything from start to finish was faultless, and it just made everything perfect. I would also like to give a big thank you to Gianni for his organisation skills and timings as it is 1st class. His manners and customer service 10 out of 10 and the way he managed his staff as he goes that extra mile to make sure everything went well.There were lots of us staying over in the hotel, and the rooms were lovely. The breakfast were also very good, and staff were very friendly. I would recommend this Hotel if you are thinking of having a Wedding as we all had a fantastic day, and you will not be disappointed. A big thank you to all.

  Absolutely fantastic, could not fault a single thing.

  We chose the macdonald houstoun house for the wonderful gardens and professional service which we received from the beginning. We had been hoping for an outside ceremony and we were not dissapointed the gardens looked fantastic and our guests constantly said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.
