We got married at the beginning of February here and we booked the venue just over a year from the wedding day!
Ellingham was the second venue we looked at and as soon as we saw it we knew that's where we had to get married. We travelled 2 hours to get here with many of our guests coming further than that.
We were looking for a venue that could offer the whole day there and would suit a wedding of 33 people which most local venues around us didn't. Our guests couldn't believe how beautiful the whole place was and everyone commented on such an amazing find!
There are no hidden costs and everything is clear on their website which seems to be a rarity when looking online at different venues.
We had a 3 day wedding with the wedding day on the Tuesday. All of the guests arrived on the Monday evening and we booked the sharing boards to have on that evening which were amazing!
The wedding day ran so smoothly, the food was incredible and all of the staff were so helpful and made us feel at home.
If you're looking for a venue that is something else then you don't need to look any further!
All the hard work the team put into your day before the wedding and throughout was flawless and nothing was too much!
A big shout out to Wendy, David, Debbie and Molly who all went that extra mile to make sure our day was perfect! ❤️🙂
Such a shame we can't do it all again! 🤣 -

Magical Ellingham✨
We just wanted to send a quick email to say a massive thank you for making our weekend so special!! We genuinely couldn’t of asked for a better day!! All the staff have been amazing (huge shout out to Alicia for helping print Dads speech and vinyling the two place names and Debbie for making our whole wedding experience lush! )The food was exceptional, my auntie said it’s the best food she’s ever eaten and the evening food was also amazing!!
Everyone that has spoke to us today has said it’s been the best venue they’ve ever been to and we’re hugely complimentary about the staff! Please pass on our sincere thanks to all of your incredible team. We definitely chose the right place to get married at! ✨✨✨✨

Absolutely Magical!
We can't believe that it has been a month since you helped us tie the knot! We just wanted to o send huge hugs and a MASSIVE thank you to David, Debbie, Wendy, Alicia and the entire team at Ellingham for the most unforgettable wedding (Lauren's mam is still crying!)
We have spoken every day since with each other and our friends and family about how we couldn't have wished for a better couple of days and although Ellingham is a magical venue, that is truly because of you guys. Everything from the food, to the service, to the running of the day itself was an absolute dream and totally exceeded anything we could have hoped for. No request was too much and every single member of staff is an absolute credit to your team - it really is no wonder you guys are THE BEST Wedding and Events Team in the North East (Congratulations by the way! - thoroughly deserved!).
A massive thank you again to each and every one of you for making our wedding so magical, we can't wait to come back up and see you all again! -

“First of all we would just like to say how grateful we are to the full team for helping us with every aspect of our wedding in August. Everyone pulled out all the stops at every opportunity to deliver the most precious two days we could have ever imagined. The full team was so organised and prepared from start to finish and all our guests were in awe of your beautiful venue.
Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived and we could never thank every last one of you enough for this. From the second we arrived we were made to feel welcome in the most amazing setting and everything from the atmosphere, grounds, food and drinks where just out of this world.
Finally can we give the most special thanks to you Debbie for having the most amazing eye for detail and coordinating all the finer things. For dealing with all my last minute changes (god knows there was plenty) and for being such a good support to myself through out the whole process. Your dedication and love for your job is evident for all to see and you are amazing! Nothing was to much much for you and you made me feel so comfortable and at ease during our discussions. Again, we would never be able to thank you enough for all your help and support and will be forever grateful to you for this.” -

We loved the two-night wedding experience and having exclusive use of the Hall and so did all of our guests. It felt like home from the first night and that really helped me relax. That was one of the main things I loved so much: Ellingham Hall doesn’t just look after the bride and groom; they care about all the wedding guests.
The guests didn’t have to wait long in the ceremony room before the bridal party made their entrance down the aisle. Everything is timed so well, it’s seamless. We had guests who are vegetarian and, on the night before, at the barbecue, their food was boxed separately. That kind of little extra care and detail makes such a difference. We couldn’t of asked for a more magical experience the only downside is we can’t go back and do it all again. -

Best Weddinmg Ever!
“Wow! What can I say we have just been married at Ellingham Hall and to say we had the best wedding ever is an understatement!
We attended an open day at Ellingham Hall in May 2021 and I just knew from walking through the door it was our dream venue, it blew me away. We met David, he was brilliant and we just clicked straight away and I knew I’d found our venue.
From then on we met the amazing Debbie & Wendy who I feel are part of the family now. Crazy emails worrying about everything and anything and they were brilliant at putting my mind at ease.
Our Wedding was everything we wanted and so much more, the team at Ellingham Hall are incredible. We had the most amazing weekend, it was beyond our expectations and a huge part of that was Ellingham Hall and the amazing team. We’ve had so many wonderful comments about the venue and staff I could talk about it all day.
I also have to give a special shout out to Alicia who ran our wedding, she is just wonderful she never stopped the whole weekend.
To Debbie, Wendy, Alicia and the whole team at Ellingham Thank You so much.”

After working in the wedding industry, myself for over 10 years, we wanted a unique venue away from our home town.
On viewing Ellingham, we knew it was our perfect wedding venue, especially as it was an exclusive dog friendly venue - our 2 MUSTS!
Ellingham's 2-night wedding experience was faultless. The team accommodated our jam-packed schedule, full of entertainment and fun.
The staff were extremely attentive. A special thanks to Beth, who worked hard all weekend, and nothing was too much. The GM David also went above and beyond, from helping serve food to even asking my husband if he'd like his wedding gift from me (a framed painting of our dog) hanging in the main entrance of the hall - great touch!
All our guests enjoyed their time, with many stating it's the best wedding they have ever been to!
For us it was perfect from start to finish, everything ran perfectly, and nothing was too much for the Ellingham team!
Honestly thank you so much, it wasn’t our dream wedding... it exceeded that by a million! Truly magical! -

Outdoor May Wedding
We did explore a lot of venues that could offer an outdoor wedding ceremony. Ellingham Hall was the third venue we visited, and from the minute we arrived, we knew we didn’t need to see any others. We cancelled the other venue tours we had scheduled because we both got an instant feeling that Ellingham Hall was the right venue for us.
You could tell by the team who showed us around, that they really cared and were proud of their venue, which was something we didn’t experience at the previous venues we visited. We left feeling really excited and we loved the luscious lawns and walled garden. The appeal of the amazing grounds and the fact they were exclusively ours for our wedding weekend meant it gave us the perfect option to get married outside.
We loved that you the venue feels intimate and private as it is exclusively yours for the weekend to celebrate with all your loved ones. The venue speaks for itself but the Ellingham team will go above and beyond to exceed your expectations and make your wedding the most memorable and perfect day. -

The Best Day of Our Lives
Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and that was down in no small part to the beautiful and amazing venue that is Ellingham Hall and the fantastic staff that work there and helped make our day so special. We love being part of the Ellingham family! -
