  Such a beautiful venue, our day was just perfect

  We had our very small interment wedding reception at Downham hall and can honestly say that every single member of staff made our day exceptionally special.
  Nothing was ever too much trouble with a member of staff always close by to see to our every need.
  If you are considering booking your day or special event at Downham Hall please don’t hesitate as you won’t be disappointed.
  Can’t thank you all enough, will definitely see you again soon

  Best Day Ever!

  We could not fault Downham Hall with our wedding day! If you want a personal intimate wedding then you must choose Downham Hall! They treat you like family and will cater to you and your needs!

  Amazing wedding day

  We had such an amazing wedding day at Downham Hall. They were flexible in the morning, even sorting me some breakfast before they opened. Always checking if we needed anything like drinks whilst getting ready and looking genuinely pleased for us before the ceremony started. We had been to view a number of places and Downham Hall really stood out to us because they really cared. You weren't just another wedding that week, where they didn't really know you as a couple, they got to know us and they were great throughout. I couldn't not comment on the food, not only did a number of people comment on how amazing it was but guests were actually full up. I have been to so many weddings where the food is mediocre and tiny in portion size - not at Downham! Their food is incredible value for money and I couldn't recommend their pizzas anymore. They catered for specific allergy requests, and ensured there were labels of what everything was.
  We had torrential rain at points during our day, and we got the most gorgeous photos under an umbrella. The grounds are small enough to be able to move about easily, but large enough to get completely different photos. We were also lucky enough to get a rainbow!
  All in all, I couldn't recommend Downham more. You won't regret booking with them.

  A beautiful venue

  Downham Hall was the perfect venue for us. It had an intimate feel and the beautiful countryside surroundings gave our wedding a peaceful setting.
  The team were all great and were quick to respond to any questions or requests we had.
  Our wedding all ran smoothly and lots of guests commented on the beautiful venue.

  Dream Wedding Venue

  We got married at Downham Hall in July 2022. I found the venue whilst attending a Yoga retreat day there and instantly fell in love with the chilled relaxed vibe and arranged to have a viewing. The Wedding planner was so helpful and let us attend to have a look around the venue and showed us the many different options available to us. We really wanted a small and intimate Wedding and this just felt like the right place for that. We ideally wanted an outside ceremony and the garden setting was just perfect for our hippy/bo-ho vibe that we were hoping to achieve. Obviously, being held in English Summertime we had to have a back up plan but the staff at Downham Hall assured us that they had that all under control and had an inside room made available to us should the weather decided to turn. A real key point to our Wedding, was the exclusive hire of the entire venue for the whole day and night. Meaning that all of our guests attending the Wedding were there solely to celebrate with us. We were pleased to be able to attend a food tasting menu, and bring 2 other members of our Wedding party with us for that. It was so special being able to share that and made it feel like a really special night out in the run up to the exciting Wedding plans. The food on the day, as was anticipated was amazing and we've had so many comments on how it was the best Wedding menu people have every experienced and all food choices/allergies/children were catered for regardless, no questions asked. On the day the staff really went above and beyond, so friendly to all of our guests. The staff serving food did so with a smile and the bar staff were friendly and knowledgable. No question or request was too much for Dawn, our Wedding planner and emails and catch up calls were encouraged. We felt totally at ease, knowing that all details of our day were left in safe hands. As a family we have since returned to Downham Hall on numberous occasions, Queens Jubilee celebrations, returning for our anniversary, Mothers Day meals and the odd drop in for coffee or breakfast. Every time we have returned we have been fondly remembered, with members of staff asking about our daughter Penny or retelling funny stories from our special day. Downham Hall may have been our venue choice for our Wedding but it has very much become an integral part of our special day that holds many special memories. We will continue to visit for our Anniversaries and special occasions for many years to come xxxx

  Faultless wedding and stunning venue

  I cannot thank Christina, Andrew, Dawn and the rest of the team at Downham Hall enough,
  My wedding was honestly perfect from start to finish, the help and support throughout was incredible they really do go above and beyond for you, we had to change the date due to covid and the communication was so good they put me at ease and i didnt need to worry about anything.
  it was stunning the grounds, rooms, wedding marquee and food i cannot fault a single thing ill never forgot my wedding day thank you for everything

  The perfect wedding

  I knew instantly Downham Hall was going to be my wedding venue and I wasn’t disappointed. From start to finish my experience was seamless, composed and magical. Every detail was thought of and catered to. The venue, the food, the staff and the facilities were perfect. I had the most amazing day and I would highly recommend this gorgeous venue to anyone!

  first of all I would like to thank Downham Hall for giving us our dream wedding.
  It had everything we wanted and added to our day, our guest enjoyed themselves.
  
  The venue is stunning the grounds are beautiful, even our guests remarked how beautiful it is. You forget where you are, you feel like your miles away in the countryside.
  
  Our rooms was lovely, with stunning views again, it had everything we wanted even a coffee machine hehe.
  
  A big thank you to Dawn, who played a big part in giving us our dream wedding, she was amazing! Always friendly and kept in touch all of the time.
  
  I would also like to thank Andrew and Christina, it was lovely to see the stages of Downham coming together and being a part of this.

  Magical!

  We would just like to start by saying thank you!! Our day was absolutely magical and we have to give thanks to everyone at Downham Hall for making the day run seamlessly.
  
  We had our wedding on the 13th July and from the start of the process last year to the moment the last guest left, we could not fault anything. The first time we went there we were warmly welcomed by Christina and we completely fell in love with the venue and the wonderful family run business.
  
  We had Dawn as our wedding coordinator and she is just fabulous! Absolutely wonderful lady who helped me so much throughout the whole process, always made me feel calm and always took time to reply to any mad or little questions I had. Nothing was to much trouble and it really made the whole thing so much less daunting.
  
  Every single one of our guests thought that the venue was stunning, it really is beautiful. There is no other place I could ever dream of having that would be more perfect then Downham Hall.
