After our first wedding venue let us down, Wotton House came to the rescue. Exactly 365 days before our wedding we booked Wotton House and never looked back. It was the most wonderful day from start to finish, offering us and our guests an excellent venue for a real celebration and party.
From the walk around tour of the venue before booking, to the planning, the wedding weekend, and the post-celebration, Wotton House couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. Whenever I had questions about the planning they would answer promptly, helping with all aspects of the planning from supplier recommendations to room bookings.
A lot of our guests opted to stay on the Friday evening, the night before our day, and Wotton couldn't be more obliging, helping to organise a dinner for us all, which gave us a perfect start to the weekend.
The Heather Suite was the perfect getting-ready room for myself, the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom and seven bridesmaids, as well as a photographer and two hairdressers. There was so much space for us all to get ready leisurely and calmly, with Wotton supplying us with a lovely breakfast and refreshments.
The Old Library is the most beautiful ceremony room, and so many of our guests on the day and afterwards have commented on how personal and special the ceremony felt. The one piece of advice I would give future couples is to not let the ceremony be forgotten in the wedding planning; it is the reason you are planning, and the Old Library can give the most beautiful backdrop. We had a florist dress the space, however, its features are so stunning it doesn't need anything too much to wow you.
The food was incredible, with the food tasting being a wonderful date for my husband and I pre-wedding. All of our guests commented how filling and gorgeous the food was across the day, and Wotton helped with the timings of the day brilliantly to make sure no one complained of being hungry (something I've experienced at our weddings!).
We opted for the pizza buffet for our evening food and we have had excellent reviews, being the perfect drunk food for our guests late into the night. The terrace where the food was served was decorated beautifully with fairy lights and felt like the perfect outside space too cool down after the dancing the night away.
Finally, the fact that Wotton House offered amble hotel rooms for our guests was possibly the most perfect addition, with all of our guests, particularly those who may be vulnerable, having their own space to retreat, comfortably and safely.
I could go on for hours about how excellent Wotton House was as our wedding venue, and my husband and I cannot wait to return every year to celebrate our anniversary and relive the best day of our lives. -

We recently got married here in November 2023
This hotel is beautiful and the staff so attentive.
We really wanted a winter feel wedding and that’s exactly what we got.
If we could do it all again we would it was the best day of our lives.
We highly recommend the suppliers that work along side this venue. Honestly use them! They know this hotel inside and out and can offer great advice and support leading up to the big day.
We cannot wait to come back to stay to celebrate our anniversary later this year.

Everything was seamless!
We got married on the 18th March 2023 at Wotton House, what a day we had! They were so patient with us the entire time and spoke to us about every step. About a month before the wedding I decided to stay before the ceremony and they upgraded our room and we had use of the bridal room with breakfast and fizz, it was the perfect space for myself, 7 bridesmaids and a mother of the bride, plus all the suppliers. I would say the only issue here is that we didn’t know we needed to be moved out of this room by the start of the ceremony. After the ceremony the girls ended up having to rush to clear the room. However, this definitely didn’t put a dampener on our day.
Ishika was our coordinator and she was quick to answer any questions and was very back and forth with emails. We met her for our details meeting and it made us feel like we were in safe hands, and confident that it all went to plan. On the day of the wedding we were provided a toastmaster, Tim, who was so patient with us. He was ready for us with canapés and a glass of fizz once photos were done and he also gave us our space to enjoy our day as a couple before we had to shoot off to different places.
Any issues (which were few) were cleared up very quickly! You really were made to feel very special on your day. The day ran smoothly and every single guest had a brilliant time. We always wanted a hotel wedding and Wotton House was perfect for that. A lot of our guests stayed with the allocated bed block, and some even managed to make use of the spa - which they loved. We had a special space for breakfast the morning after also, and all of our belongings were kept safe whilst we moved everything out.
They dealt with our suppliers well, and the ground are beautiful. Currently we are waiting for our photographs, but the photographer was ecstatic to be back at Wotton House due to the incredible scenery and the beautiful grounds.
You are the only wedding booked for the day so you can make use of the entire hotel, from the Evelyn Suite to the Old Library and the grounds themselves.
I would 100% recommend this venue. The staff are amazing and a lot of your necessities come provided for you so you feel stress free throughout your planning.

Incredible day
Wotton House was the perfect wedding venue for our wedding day celebration. All of the staff, including the wedding team went above and beyond. The venue itself is just breathtaking and we were fortunate enough to have a white wedding which made the grounds look unbelievable.
The food was great and table service was quick and well managed. Our wedding day really was the best thanks to our guests and the staff at Wotton House. Would definitely recommend. -

We are so pleased we chose Wotton House for our wedding. It’s the most breathtaking venue amongst beautiful grounds. The old library is a stunning aisle to walk down. We had a December wedding and the whole venue was decorated so beautifully for the festive season, which made our winter wedding even more magical. Throughout the planning process, we worked with Samantha who was our wedding planner. She was prompt with responding to our inquiries, gave us checklists to keep us on task and gave excellent recommendations for vendors. On the day the staff were simply outstanding, they did an amazing job of setting up the ceremony and reception space with our decorations. Nothing was too much effort and everything went seamlessly. Compliments to the toast master who was superb. Our family and friends still rave about the beautiful location and the delicious food every time we see them! Thank you Wotton House for making our wedding day above & beyond perfect. Wish we could do it all again! -

Wotton House was the perfect wedding venue for our special day. The stunning architecture, lush 17th century Italian gardens and elegant interiors provided a dreamy backdrop for our ceremony and reception. In particular, the Old Library where we had our ceremony was beautiful, having been decorated by Flowers By Elaine.
The staff were incredibly helpful, accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was a success. The food and wine were outstanding. The rooms were luxurious and comfortable, providing the perfect space for our bridal party to relax and get ready. The wedding planner Ishika was exceptional, guiding us through every step of the planning process and making sure everything ran smoothly on the day. I would highly recommend Wotton House as a top-notch wedding venue.

Wotton House Magic
Wotton House was nothing but magic from the moment we picked that as our wedding venue to our wedding day celebration. All of the staff from the ladies at reception, the weddings team, to the team at the bar they went above and beyond not just for us as the bride and groom but all of our guests. The venue itself it’s just breathtaking. The Old Library where we had our ceremony was exactly how I imagined when it came to my wedding. Richard the weddings coordinator and his team really made all of our guests feel special during the wedding breakfast ensuring everyone was fed and watered throughout. The food was faultless it’s was so delicious, some of our guests are still talking about it . Our wedding day really was the BEST DAY EVER we believe Wotton House played the biggest part in that. -

A dream venue for our dream day
Where can I start? The moment we saw the old library we knew this was where we wanted to get married. The staff were amazing, nothing was too much. Whenever I had questions about the planning they would answer promptly, helping with all aspects of the planning. There was so much attention to detail - from having champagne at the end of the aisle after the “I dos”, to making sure we got canapés whilst having our photos taken, and from the way they had clearly put lots of thought/care into putting out all our table stationery etc. The toastmaster was great and helped make sure our day ran smoothly. The food was amazing, we had nothing but compliments about our big day. We loved our day soo much that we wanted to do it all over again but as a guest so we could take it all in properly! -
