  Dream wedding and Dream venue

  Balmer Lawn and Team were absolutely amazing. We had our day on the 31st March 2024 and despite it being Easter Sunday, we had the full attention of the wedding team.
  
  We went with the Everything but the Dress package and could not fault it, the suppliers were all there for us so we didn't have to go looking and vetting anyone as we knew they would know the venue like the back of their hand and be able to advise on the best course of action for all of my many ideas.
  
  Sam and Jo executed my decor and flower arrangements better than I could have imagined and Lindsay (our coordinator for the day in Ruths absence) was so incredibly helpful, my bridal party had nothing but amazing things to say and she was great at accommodating us with any requests we had!
  Big compliments to the staff I didn't get to interact with directly but the way the day was so flawlessly carried out, we can tell everyone works well together and know what they’re doing.
  
  The food was incredible, everyone was so impressed with the gourmet menu and the evening buffet - I cant say anyone went hungry or thirsty that night!
  The DJ (Alan) was fantastic and got our “cheese-y” theme entirely, and the Photographer Kimberley was extremely professional and kind throughout the day ensuring my shot list was carried out completely.
  
  Sorry for the few glasses we ended up breaking throughout the night, thank for your understanding and for your hospitality we’re so glad you were the venue we went with (after touring all of 1 venue!) we knew you’d be able to provide us with the wedding we dreamed of!

  We cannot thank Ruth and Lindsay enough for giving us a fantastic day.
  Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to help make our day special.
  
  Ruth went above and beyond trying to resolve last minute issues to take pressure and stress away from myself.

  Wedding 31.12.23

  After getting engaged at the Balmer Lawn hotel in December 2022, we loved the idea of getting married at the place we got engaged. From the moment we met Ruth, she instantly put us at ease, & we knew we wanted her to be a part of our special day. She is an asset to the Balmer Lawn hotel, & really does go the extra mile. This is something we will never forget from our big day!
  
  Ruth & all the wedding team were incredible in the lead up to our big day, all the phone calls, meetings, answering questions & generally offering advice & support really put us at ease. We opted for the Everything but the dress package for our wedding, & this was invaluable taking all the stress out of finding suppliers, especially as we got married on New Year’s Eve. It’s a fantastic package with amazing suppliers who also work really hard to make sure your big day goes without a hitch! We appreciated them all reaching out to us after booking the wedding to tell us what we needed to do next, which made the process so much more enjoyable of planning a wedding. Each time we visited the hotel before the wedding we were always welcomed with open arms which really made us fall in love with the charm & magic of the Balmer Lawn Hotel.
  
  We loved adding the gin bar addition - our guests loved this as we have vouchers as a favour for the bar! Along with the special effects (dry ice show & indoor sparklers). This made our first dance unique which we loved!
  
  The wedding breakfast was coordinated beautifully with choices for each guests pre ordered before the big day. Table wine & champagne was also the perfect accompaniment. Our wedding evening food was the bbq, & everyone commented on how delicious this was, with a wide selection.
  
  All the staff were incredible the weekend of the wedding making sure the bridal party were looked after, & all our families. The bridal suite was beautiful, & we got ready in a room in the hotel the morning of the wedding which was lovely to have a big space as we had a large bridesmaid party.
  
  Everyone at the venue was so kind & wanted to hear all about the big day before & after with how it went. A special thank you to Lindsey, Charlotte, Adam in addition to the lovely Ruth for everything they did on the big day! We honestly couldn’t recommend the hotel anymore for a wedding & we will definitely be celebrating there for years to come!

  Balmer Lawn was the perfect venue for us

  Balmer Lawn's 'Everything But the Dress' package cinched our wedding venue decision. We knew it would prevent a lot of stress and time researching suppliers.
  
  Balmer Lawn has a separate wing for weddings, so that you and your guests are separated from the rest of the hotel and general hotel guests but still have access to all of its facilities. We loved the feel and the setting. They have a gate close to this wing which provides access to the neighbouring field. Perfect for photos.
  
  Sadly, health issues meant we had to change the original date for our wedding but the team were amazing, they were flexible and able to help us change our plans and communicated with the suppliers for us.
  
  The suppliers they have are amazing and the day was magical.

  Amazing winter wedding experience

  We booked the everything but the dress package. Everything about this package was customisable and we were able to make a day that was completely ours. It was beautiful. Ruth, Charlotte, Lindsey, Emily, Adam, Luke, Briony, Ashley and Kathryn all worked so hard all day to make our day gorgeous. Everything went so smoothly, and even when we had to make changes during the day, the team seamlessly supported and arranged accordingly. Us and our guests loved every single detail. Special thank you to Ruth who co-ordinated everything to perfection.

  The Balmer Lawn team were so informative and supportive throughout the whole wedding experience. As well as loving the beautiful setting and adoring the hotel, Ruth’s calm and informative approach fully sold the hotel to us as our wedding venue. Ruth was always readily available whenever I needed her on emails and via phone.
  We felt the day went so smoothly and just as we had hoped. Overall, we loved our wedding day and couldnt be happier with how it went. I would definitely recommend this venu, and cannot wait to return!

  Everything But the Dress Wedding

  We had the most wonderful wedding day which surpassed our expectations! We had the Everything but the Dress package which made life so much easier!
  
  Throughout our wedding planning journey, Ruth has been exceptional. Everything from start to finish was easy, and taken care of. All the suppliers that work with the hotel do so regularly and all know each other well which also added to the ease of planning. Everything that we discussed on was recorded and followed through accordingly, and the day was truly fantastic!
  
  We had many compliments on the quality of the food, and the staff were absolutely exceptional in their patience and attentiveness. The cocktail bar was also a huge hit!
  
  If you are looking for an easy wedding planning experience with wonderful results, my husband and I 1000% recommend the Balmer Lawn hotel, they offer excellent value for money, and the customer service is second to none. Initially we worried that it was out of budget for us, however when you compare to other venues who do not offer anywhere near the same level of service and quality, it was a no brainer for us. Nothing was too much trouble, despite some of our unusual requests!
  
  We selected the BL as we had been there a few times previously and it felt like a special place for us. They did not let us down and truly made us feel special. They personalised everything to us, and even went out of their way to sign a card from the team!! Honestly such a wonderful atmosphere and we truly had the most special day. Thank you Ruth and team!

  Perfect day

  We had our wedding day here, we couldn’t of asked for a better day, nothing went wrong it was all perfect the wedding team were amazing and nothing was ever to much, Ruth and her team I would 10000% recommend to them the whole hotel team were lovely and very welcoming we had the best day & stay with them

  The Most Incredible Day

  We booked the Balmer Lawn's Everything But the Dress Package and couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. They have an incredible supplier list that work seamlessly with the venue and each other to create the most beautiful bespoke day which was better than we could have dreamed. Nothing was too much trouble and every member of staff went above and beyond to welcome us and our guests. Thank you Ruth, Charlotte, Briony and everyone else for helping us create such a perfect day!
