Facilities and Capacity

Tall John’s House offers a choice of truly remarkable backdrops for civil ceremonies, with both indoor and outdoor spaces available. The Barn boasts a soaring vaulted ceiling embellished with wooden beams, complimented beautifully with exposed brickwork and polished stone floors. For more intimate occasions, the Granary is perfect, which offers a vaulted ceiling and mezzanine balcony. Those who wish to exchange vows outdoors can enjoy the Gazebo space or anywhere in the stunning gardens with mountain views or in the beautiful walled garden. Couples who would prefer a religious service may visit the local church, set only 1.5 miles away. This historical building was rebuilt in 1851 on the grounds of an ancient Celtic church and can hold up to 100 guests. The Barn also offers a stunning setting for receptions, providing a blank canvas for couples to embellish to reflect their vision for the day. Your guests are sure to enjoy the open-air courtyard while the walled garden or the magnificent lawn in the grounds makes a superb location for pre-dinner cocktails.

This venue also allows you to bring your own alcohol and permits the use of both natural confetti and fireworks.

Accommodation

The Georgian Manor House at Tall John’s House can accommodate up to 27 people, providing plenty of space for newlyweds and their wedding party which is entirely optional. With high ceilings and classic Georgian-era decor, nearly all the bedrooms have their own bathroom. Included in the package, is a two night stay in our self-catering Honeysuckle Cottage with its four double bedrooms andbathrooms. The perfect place to use as a base while decorating. Our lovely one-bedroom cottage, The Coachmans is also included for one night for newly married couples on their wedding night.
