About

The Museum of London Docklands is a landmark wedding venue located in East London. The museum traces the extensive, 2,000-year history of London's river, port, and people. Starting with the arrival of the Romans to the rise of the Canary Wharf, the compelling collection tells the robust story of the Thames. This venue allows you and your partner to celebrate your one-of-a-kind love story next to the iconic river in a captivating, historic setting.

Facilities and Capacity

The Museum of London Docklands consists of over five floors within a charismatic late Georgian warehouse based on the waterfront. The Grade I listed building offers elegant, diverse event rooms where heartfelt ceremonies can be hosted. Initially built in 1802 to store rum, sugar, and coffee, the interior throughout is highlighted by authentic Caribbean pine columns and floors. Each space can be hired exclusively for intimate celebrations or in conjunction with other settings for larger receptions. The impressive Wilberforce Room, with exposed brickwork and original wooden features, is the ideal space for daytime and evening weddings. The room can comfortably hold up to 240 guests for a wedding breakfast or reception. Alternatively, events for up to 200 people can be hosted in the museum's Muscovado Hall. The Quayside Room, which overlooks West India Quay, and the Number 1 Warehouse Gallery are perfect for momentous occasions with 100 loved ones or fewer.

Services Offered

The Museum of London Docklands is situated on West India Quay, with excellent transport links and a large car park next to the building. The museum can be booked for wedding breakfasts, ceremonies, and receptions. The venue's list of Approved Caterers would be happy to offer bespoke catering options for the big day.
