From the moment we entered Cherrytrees we fell in love with its beauty. Amanda is so welcoming and relaxed as well as organised and very helpful. We chose Cherrytrees for its beautiful garden, as we always wanted to get married outside, with flowers and trees surrounding us. What came with it was an amazing bonus - Amanda is such a fantastic host, she is so understanding and open to new ideas. Our wedding was something very different to what Amanda was used to at this venue; choosing a pizza van rather than a three course meal, but Amanda welcomed our different approach and supported us, with her experience she gave us ideas that would help this type of wedding, that we had not yet thought of, and she ensured everything would run smoothly. Amanda knew we really wanted to get married at the bottom of the garden, in a different location to her usual weddings, she encouraged this new idea with enthusiam and helped us to organise it. The garden and glasshouse are absolutely stunning, you can see how much care goes into making it so beautiful. We enjoyed the surrounding trees and views, there is a huge beautiful tree at the front of the venue, which we were so excited to get photos by! Everything about this venue was just magical. The building itself, so stunning and homely, we enjoyed the Billiard room the night before and the boys enjoyed it the morning of the wedding. We enjoyed the lovely bedrooms, baths and comfortable beds! Amanda made us a wonderful evening meal the night before the wedding, and we had two very amazing breakfasts cooked for us! We had free roam of pretty much all of the house, and we felt so comfortable and welcome. The front room where the girls get dressed is just stunning, and the lighting is perfect for photographs! It is an intimate venue that can only accommodate 50 people so we had our evening reception at a venue nearby. We would 100% recommend Cherrytrees to everyone, they are so flexible with your ideas, so so beautiful and extremely accommodating.

Cherrytrees is an absolutely stunning venue filled with colourful flowers (which contributed to really unique and lovely bouquets and buttonholes on the day). For anyone looking for an intimate and relaxed setting, this is the place to be. Our guests had a great time wandering the garden, sitting by the fire pit, playing the occasional garden game, having the BBQ & paella provided by our caterers and having a wee disco in the conservatory later in the evening!

It rained during the ceremony but it really didn’t matter as the conservative was a lovely alternative (which still opened out to the garden), Amanda and James very kindly let our guests in their home for fizz after the ceremony and there was more than enough cover with the mini pagodas and conservatory when required.

We had the most wonderful wedding day at Cherrytrees and could not have chosen a more perfect venue. The owners, Amanda and James, were so accommodating and helped us create our dream wedding which included an outdoor ceremony, drinks reception with a picnic and garden games and then a lovely dinner in the beautiful conservatory. The bridal party stayed in the main house the evening before, which was really special and was a nice way to relax before the big day once we had finished setting everything up. We did our bridal prep in the drawing room on the morning of the wedding which was a fab space to have everyone together to enjoy the moment. We had the best day and so did our guests - everyone said it was the nicest wedding venue they’d ever seen and such a unique offering. I am so glad we had to postpone twice so it brought us to Cherrytrees.

Cherrytrees is a magical and enchanted place for an intimate wedding of up to 50 guests. The Victorian walled garden is ideally suited as an outdoor venue with the conservatory and pagodas providing shelter if it's needed. Our drinks reception at the main house, with its terrace, drawing room, and stunning views of the Cheviot hills, was ideal. Amanda and James, our hosts, ensured no detail was overlooked and made our day very special indeed.

My Fiancé and I were looking for a local, relaxed venue where we could host all our friends and family in an outdoor garden setting. This was not an easy find for the Scottish Borders as we had smaller numbers but I was pleasantly surprised when I came across Cherrytrees. Amanda was amazing right from the beginning, always quick to reply to my emails and incredibly lovely and easy to talk to! We were originally booked in to have our wedding in July 2020, however like many others we had to postpone due to Covid. When I rang Amanda to discuss options she was very helpful and really put me at ease when discussing what my options were, very helpful at a time when no one knew what was going on! We decided to postpone to July 2021. Fast forward a few months and as it was becoming more and more clear that Covid was here to stay, and with a baby on the way my Fiancé and I decided to just go ahead with no friends and family present and just elope to Cherrytrees in November! It was a very quick turn around and again Amanda helped me with all the details and also agreed to be a witness which was absolutely lovely and very much appreciated!
The day of the wedding itself was absolutely brilliant and Amanda and her husband really helped us make the day special even though we had no friends and family to celebrate with. She even opened up her home last minute when the weather took a turn for the worst!
Overall I can't recommend Amanda and Cherrytrees enough, although it was not the day we had originally planned, the setting was still absolutely magical and I really can't thank Amanda enough for helping us create truly special memories.

Cherrytrees is beautiful, and such a unique venue. It suited our intimate wedding with our little girl perfectly!

Our wedding at Cherrytrees could not have gone any better and we are so pleased we chose it as our venue. Amanda was such a pleasure to deal with and her calmness and flexibility was wonderful when we were planning it all. From start to finish nothing was too much trouble and Amanda was always available to help out, whether over the phone, via email or in person.
Our families were made to feel extremely welcome when staying at Cherrytrees House and it really is the most perfect venue.

A truly breathtaking location! Amanda was amazing, she couldn't do enough to make sure this was our dream wedding.

The walled garden is spectacular, our guests were amazed at the beauty of the location and how peaceful and calming the atmosphere was. Amanda worked closely with us and The Border Hotel (Kirk Yetholm) who provided excellent canapés and bar staff for our wedding at Cherrytrees. Our bouquets, buttonholes and floral arrangements were hand picked from Amanda's cutting garden and our rose petals instead of confetti were hand dried the night before by Amanda, fresh from her garden.
We provided our own drinks and we had use of fridges to chill these. There is a cooker if required and some where to keep food warm.

The conservatory is there for use should the weather be a little wet, but we used it as a bar area and decorated it the day before with bunting. The conservatory is lovely with flowers up one wall and it adds to the natural setting of the Walled Garden.

We stayed the night before and the night of our wedding and our room overlooked the magnificent hills of this gorgeous area. We were offered a cooked and continental breakfast and the food was hot and tasty.

Amanda provides garden games which adds some fun to the day!

We fell in love with the place so much and Amanda has invited us back to have a picnic in the garden and we're planning on doing this on our first anniversary!

The venue was absolutely beautiful, private and personal. I can't think of anywhere better to get married if you would like a small, informal and relaxed wedding. From start to finish Amanda was amazing. She helped us to make sure that the day was perfect from start to finish, providing lots of really nice touches. We had music, fireworks, fire pits and garden games and the guests had a brilliant time. My husband and I also stayed in the house overnight on the night of the wedding with was lovely. I cannot recommend it enough.

What a wonderful venue! We can’t thank Amanda and James enough for making our wedding such a special day! Cherrytrees is such an amazing venue…..so relaxed and the walled garden is just beautiful. Our guests all had a fantastic time and even the rain didn’t stop the fun!

Steve and I came across Cherrytrees by chance via Instagram and wow! When we went to visit the venue we soon fell in love with the beautiful location!
Our host Amanda was so wonderful and helpful towards us in our wedding. We stayed the night before in her stunning home, had a lovely home cooked dinner and felt so relaxed for the wedding the following day.
The flowers for my bridesmaids and myself were absolutely beautiful and cut from the garden itself! So perfect and just what I had in mind. I had some ferns as my table place names and Amanda spotted that and incorporated it into my bouquet!
Although it was a covid wedding, as we were surrounded by the spectacular gardens it was easy to forget the pandemic around us.
We had the most unforgettable amazing day and I’m still to come down from cloud 9!

We’re thoroughly delighted we discovered Cherrytrees, it is a magical venue and we had a perfect wedding day. Amanda was incredibly helpful, kind and considerate of our questions and requests. Our wedding flowers were grown at Cherrytrees and they were absolutely beautiful. We'd wholeheartedly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a really special outdoor wedding venue.

I highly recommend Cherrytrees as a place to get married - we had the most perfect day in this romantic and private setting. Amanda was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout, which made it the planning process, and day itself, stress free and enjoyable! All our guests commented on how beautiful the garden was and in particular, the bouquets and vases of flowers, which were cut from the garden and more perfect than I could have imagined. We feel so lucky and grateful to have had our wedding at this unique and magical place.

We shopped around prior to settling on Cherrytrees but as soon as we set foot in the garden we knew this was the venue for us. It was just so special and different to other venues we viewed that fell into the similar garden wedding venue genre.

The flowers in the garden itself and provided from the cutting garden are absolutely stunning. All of our wedding photos are just these visions of beautiful, bright colours.

What absolutely made the venue was Amanda. We wanted a DIY wedding without too much of the DIY which was perhaps unsurprisingly tricky to come by but Amanda can easily provide a range of additional items should you want them to personalise the day a little more. Amanda was on the ball the entire way through the planning and gently keeps you on track too. Special credit had to go to Amanda in particular for the fact that she managed to pull a last minute arrangement for a more accessible toilet out of the bag when a close family member fell unwell with little over a month to spare.

I highly recommend viewing this venue - you will end up spellbound too.

Anyone getting married should really consider Cherrytrees! Amanda is the most accommodating host you could find and alongside the beautiful walled garden you're sure to have the most magical day. They are also very reasonably priced!

We viewed Cherrytrees in the Winter and had to use our imagination for how the Garden would look in the Spring/Summer and booked almost instantly. We were lucky and had a day of sunshine and got married outside with around 55 guests. If the rain was to come there is an alternative conservatory which has an antique feel - we used the doorway for photos!

We also had our Marquee reception in a field in front of the house down by a Lake with the most stunning views - check out Parris photography on Facebook for some pics!

Amanda really does go above and beyond for you too. You would struggle to find anyone more genuine and friendly and I didn't have one moment of stress in the run up to the big day.

We will both be recommending Cherrytrees to anyone who is looking for a relaxed & intimate wedding.
