COVID 2020 - we have a special covid safe package for 30 guests that ticks all the boxes! All our postponed weddings have had first choice for dates in 2021 and the few that have been cancelled have been fully reimbursed. We can do this as we are small, bespoke and very flexible!
Purton House
Set in beautiful mature gardens with its own lake lies Purton House, a family-owned Georgian stately home only a short stroll from the Church. Part of the unique appeal of the venue is that you will have exclusive use of the formal wing for your wedding reception.
Not only do we provide you with a unique venue, but our in-house catering team are flexible and happy to cook up feasts following favourite family recipes or chefs, or of course you can use our own stunning menus. Much of the menu is based on what we have available on our organic farm and we like to use other local suppliers too.
We specialize in intimate and elegant country weddings:
We can accommodate larger paries:
Your guests can explore the walled garden, rose walk and water gardens, or even play croquet whilst you have your photographs taken on the lawn, using our fantastic south-facing elevation as the ideal backdrop.
Winter weddings are a particular favourite where guests can kick off their shoes and warm toes in front of roaring log fires with a jolly glass of something bubbly.

Just the best venue
From the moment we visited Purton House we knew it was the place for our reception. Beautiful, friendly and totally relaxed. Talia and Jo supported our planning throughout. The food was just incredible and Jo and the team made everything run smoothly on the day. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Purton House if you’re looking for something different from the normal cookie cutter venues.

Wow
Hi Talia,

Sorry it’s taken us so long to get in touch but we’ve been enjoying the sunshine in Cornwall.
We plan to write a Tripadvisor review this weekend, but we just wanted to say a personal thank you to you and the team for helping us to have the most amazing wedding.
It was everything we ever wanted, from the people who put us at ease in the build-up (Jo, Danielle, Becky etc were so lovely) to the spectacular grazing table and THAT profiterole tower.
Our guests still haven’t stopped talking about how perfect the house and the grounds are - they were stars of the day in their own right.
We don’t have the official photos yet, but here are a few that show off the setting.
Thank you again. I can’t tell you how glad we are that we found Purton House and your team for our wedding

perfect venue
Mary Pink recommends Purton House: "If your looking for a suitable wedding venue for your special day, look no further than Purton House!. With its idyllic location, beautiful manor house, with its lovely decor antiques and charm, it’s amazing grounds and walled gardens this is the place for you! When it comes to the catering you are in very professional hands with Talia and her team, as Talia, who’s family own Purton House is a very accomplished chef who also owns, runs and cooks at the Cricklade Club in Cricklade, her food / cuisine is second to none. Absolutely gorgeous. On the day nothing was to much trouble for Talia and her team, Purton House made our special day fantastic, relaxed, and just perfect, without having to worry about the finer details, the accommodation was amazing, and the breakfast the following morning was also amazing, everything freshly cooked to order. From booking the venue, the 18 months leading up to our wedding, Talia was on hand to help out with all our needs and wants, nothing was to much trouble. So it remains only to say, Thank You Purton House, Talia and the team for A JOB WELL DONE !! Kind Regards Mary and Mick Pink xxxx"
