Situated in Gloucestershire, Painswick Rococo Garden is the country's sole surviving complete rococo garden. Designed in the 1740s as a fanciful pleasure garden for Benjamin Hyett and his guests, this hidden valley offers a spectacular wedding venue with views of the surrounding countryside and intriguing garden buildings.
The garden was designed for partying, so it's no wonder that this is a popular choice for civil ceremonies and celebration parties. There are a number of different buildings licensed for civil ceremonies to suit the size and feel of your day.
The magnificent Red House is a popular choice for ceremonies and can accommodate up to 100 guests. With a natural aisle leading up to the building and a fabulous carved stone doorway, there really is no more spectacular an entrance!
The Eagle House is ideal for more intimate weddings. With space for the two of you plus your celebrant, up to 40 guests can view the ceremony from outside.
The Bothy is full of rustic charm and has capacity for 20 people. A canopy can be added to accommodate more guests or to add an additional space for drinks and canapés.
Following on from your romantic ceremony, you can enjoy a delicious array of canapés and drinks as you mingle, enjoy the garden and snap those all-important photographs!
If you would like a truly exclusive event, you can hire the entire gardens. There is plenty of space for a marquee, should you wish to host a larger celebration.
A truly intimate and romantic location, the garden provides a setting unmatched in the country. Plus, as one of the top 50 best UK wedding venues, as voted by The Independent, you’re in fantastic hands with Painswick Rococo Garden.
