The perfect venue
The Botanical Garden of Wales is simply the perfect wedding venue. They have stunning scenery, perfect photo opportunities, and a team of staff who really care, and go out of their way to make sure your day is exactly as you want it.Sent on 19/05/2019
From start to finish Cellan and his team made everything very easy. From showing us round on our first visit, to responding quickly to our (many) emails with questions, and helping shepherd guests around on the day, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The garden’s main business isn’t running weddings, but rather than detracting from the day, it added it to. They are genuinely trying to make everything perfect for you.
We had our ceremony in the great glasshouse and our reception in the marquee, but there are many difference options catering from around 30 to 150 people. The glasshouse is a fantastic dramatic venue and we left with stunning photos which we’ll treasure for years to come. The marquee is a blank slate, and you can decorate it exactly as you want it. As an added bonus, the chairs they provide are nice enough that no seat covers are needed!
The gardens themselves are beautiful, so your guests can enjoy themselves and explore while the bride and groom are off having photos. There is also the British Bird of Prey centre on site who can bring some of their birds down to meet your guests.
All told this is a fantastic venue. If I were to get married again I would choose this place in a heartbeat. As an added bonus, after your big day you can come back visit your wedding venue all year round to relive the happy memories; you certainly can’t do that with a standard hotel wedding.
