My wife and I fell in love with Masseria La Morella the moment we first saw it. About a year before our wedding, we visited this beautiful venue surrounded by greenery and were immediately enchanted by its stunning indoor and outdoor spaces. We knew right away this was the perfect place to celebrate our special day.

Our wedding planner, Emi, was absolutely fantastic. She took care of every single detail and made all of our wishes come true. The day was a fairytale from start to finish. We had our civil ceremony in a beautiful citrus grove, and after we officially said "I do," we moved to the main courtyard for a delicious buffet-style aperitivo.

The reception dinner was held in another gorgeous garden, where we were completely surrounded by nature. Following the first courses, our guests were invited to the Masseria’s ancient cellar for a special wine tasting, featuring the estate's own wine paired with exquisite finger food prepared by their talented chef. It was a unique and memorable experience for everyone.

We cut our wedding cake near a beautiful, centuries-old olive tree—it was such a magical moment. The night concluded with an open bar by the pool, where we celebrated with our friends. Many of them stayed the night at the Masseria, which made it easy to say goodbye the next morning.

The entire staff at Masseria La Morella was incredibly professional and kind to everyone. We received so many feedbacks on the beautiful reception, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Thank you for making our wedding day absolutely perfect!

We loved every moment of our Wedding weekend at La Morella. Emi and her team looked after us and made our day feel effortless, the venue itself is stunning there are so many spaces for you to move into across the day. We started in the orchard and came into the main courtyard and later over to towards the pool for dinner and then dancing, having the whole place feels so special, you can spread out and really enjoy the glamour. Staying within the grounds across the weekend was incredible, getting to stay with friends and family and stretch out the wedding across a weekend made the experience last longer.
The areas you have for photos is vast, so many beautiful spots. I have 600 photos and they are all in such stunning spots.
The food and the service from all the staff was exceptional, way more food than we could have imagined. I can only give thanks and a gushing review of La Morella, it’s a very special place. We got married at La Morella in July 2025 and it was the best decision we could have ever made. Everything was simply perfect and the best part is that we did not break our budget!! This venue and its people will forever have a very special place in our hearts. To give a bit of context, my husband and I live in Ireland and we knew that organising a wedding while being based abroad could be a challenge. While many people find organising a wedding stressful, thanks to the team at La Morella, this was not the case for us at all. Our guests were absolutely delighted and kept telling us that attending our wedding went above and beyond their expectations.

Here is a breakdown of our experience at La Morella to help future spouses with choosing a wedding venue, especially if it is a destination wedding.

Party location: The building and estate are beautifully renovated and full of charm. The wedding party can rotate throughout the estate which gave a really nice pace to our event. We got to do our official civil ceremony in the garden in which some finger food and drinks were served right after. We then moved on to the courtyard where we had a buffet of all the region specialties, and visited the wine cellar for some wine tasting. Then we had our dinner party in another courtyard and even had some dancing between meals. We then did our cake and dessert buffet and rest of dance party by the pool, under the olive trees. This gave such a lovely momentum to the evening with guests being constantly entertained.

Food & Drinks: To us this was the most essential point after the venue in itself. Food just kept flowing throughout the night. The quality of the food is outstanding. All produce are organic and grown on the farm. The region is famous for its mozzarella and trust me, you've never tasted the real taste of mozzarella before unless you've come to Battipaglia. Guests kept coming to us throughout the night to talk about the food because they simply could not believe it. It's simple: Campania, along with Sicily is a region known for the quality of the food. We got to offer people an authentic taste of the region as the venue mastered all regional specialties. Furthermore, Campania is also famous for its pastries so the desserts and wedding cake were also fantastic. In terms of drinks, the venue makes its own wine so we got an unlimited amount of wine served throughout the evening. We had two additional open bars for our guest. One during the cocktail reception that was a Spritz corner (try La Morella spritz you won't regret it!) and one for the dancing party after the cake without actually breaking the budget either. All drinks were of top quality. We even organised a breakfast for our guests the next day on the venue to allow us to see our guests a bit more.

Accommodation and Commuting: there is a possibility for approx. 40 people to sleep on the venue. If you book all accommodations you can enjoy the whole venue to yourself so we did that for the day after as well (we got married on a Sunday) and it was like a mini holidays for our guests. We got to enjoy the pool and another dinner on the venue. It was much appreciated to spend more time with people and truly relax after the wedding. Many hotels are within a 10 min driving distance from the venue so taxis can actually bring back your guests. Most people that came from abroad attended our wedding and travelled without having to rent a car. Prices of hotels around are also really affordable while being of high quality. We had guests flying to Salerno airport which is really close to Battipaglia and others coming from Naples where train services are available to reach Battipaglia. Travelling was not a problem at all and did not constrain our guests which was really important to us.

Staff: None of this would have been possible without the help of the team at La Morella (shoutout to Emi, Valentina, Paolo, everyone!). Emi was our constant point of contact and the mastermind behind our wedding organisation. She helped me with getting a hairdresser, make up artist and even wedding decorations which was a blessing for me since I don't speak Italian. Communicating with her was really easy. She organised the flowers, everything! I just had to talk to her about our vision and she made it happen. I did not need to hire an external wedding planner and there was no hidden costs either. Everyone at La Morella is truly a gem. And the chef oh my god! Such a dedicated and passionate person!

We genuinely feel so lucky and grateful for having had the opportunity to celebrate our wedding at La Morella. We were able to fully enjoy our wedding day without any hassle and organising it was an absolute pleasure. We can only recommend this place! Whether you are marrying an Italian person or organising a destination wedding, this place will go beyond your expectations
