We had our wedding reception at Talbooth House & Spa and we truly had the best day ever.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous, we loved the outer space from the very first time but also all the bedrooms and the beautiful inside space.
We would highly recommend it to other couples looking to book their wedding.
We really loved the attention to detail, the good quality food and the professional staff always trying to go the extra mile.
Especially for an intimate wedding like ours, with a smaller number of guests this is the perfect location.

We had an intimate winter wedding at the Talbooth House & Spa and it could not have been a more perfect venue. From the minute we contacted the team they were incredibly organised and responsive, accommodating our every need. We had fun attending two planning meetings beforehand, and the day itself could not have gone better. Both the events team and staff on the day were very kind, professional and attentive. Our guests included young children and adults of all ages, and the Talbooth team catered for all very well. The food is exquisite and the venue itself is gorgeous - we really enjoyed having the whole place to ourselves and the overnight accommodation is excellent. Highly recommend this venue.

The Talbooth House & Spa Hotel is so much more than a venue. It is a team of people who genuinely care. From the very beginning, they made us feel like we were the ONLY COUPLE IN THE WORLD. After two years of thoughtful planning with Jess Savill, the team delivered a FLAWLESS, JOYFYL day that exceeded every expectation. The attention to detail, the warmth, and the calm professionalism were truly exceptional.
From the outdoor ceremony with breathtaking views to the elegant patio reception and the perfectly executed wedding breakfast, every moment was handled with care and precision. As the evening unfolded, the celebration flowed effortlessly into a DJ-led pool side reception filled with PURE HAPPINESS, followed by a lively house party. The night ended with my brand new husband, whisky in hand, relaxing in a fireside armchair, surrounded by laughter and loved ones, already reminiscing about the day we had just shared. I am not making this up. That was our Wedding Day. JOYFUL, INTIMATE, UNFORGETABLE.
Every part of the day took place in one stunning location, transforming around us as the celebration evolved.. It felt like a destination wedding just down the road; set against exceptional valley views and surrounded by nature. The venue itself was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and yet modern, creating a unforgettable atmosphere. We felt like time stood still for us. Unforgettable.

Me and my husband got married at the Talbooth House and Spa in August 2025. When we visited this venue straight away we knew this venue was for us.
We wanted a small intimate wedding but with class, character and luxury, this venue provided exactly this.
It was lovely to be able to have the venue to ourselves on the evening of our wedding so our closest family and friends could stay over. The rooms are beautiful clean and kept to a high standard.
The staff were amazing throughout the whole wedding process and nothing was too much to ask.

Excellent and beautiful venue, which was the perfect size for our wedding party size of 31 people. Having exclusive use and so being able to use the bedrooms for our guests overnight and also the Spa pool/area was ideal.

The wedding planners were engaging and professional and helped us in so many ways to plan the day. On the day, the staff were warm and very attentive and really made the day run smoothly. Lots of our guests commented on how good they were.

Menu options were extensive and the food was lovely. All in all excellent venue and value for money

we were delighted with all aspects of the day and the planning by Keighley and her team. All the staff on the day were professional and caring. The quality of food and drink was 1st class. At all times they went the extra mile for us as did the Stationer, photographer, cake lady and flower supplier recommended by the Talbooth

We had the perfect day. The whole team on the day are an absolute credit to the Milsom’s brand. We would highly recommend the venue for those looking for a smaller wedding. Our advise would be to remain in contact with the team at all times to assure you have the best day. We also found that meeting the team who will look after you on the day is a brilliant idea as you can build a rapport meaning that the will know who to speak with on the day.

The venue and setting are however just stunning and this really helps set the scene for a perfect day.

In September, we had our wedding ceremony and meal for 11 people at Le Talbooth Restaurant and an evening reception for around 30 people afterwards at the Talbooth House and Spa hotel. Alex Carr handled all the planning arrangements and Melissa, Cassey and the staff at the hotel looked after us on the day. The ceremony took place downstairs at Le Talbooth, we had drinks and photos outside beside the river, followed by a meal upstairs in the Weavers Room. We then moved up to the hotel for the evening reception. We had a wonderful day and everything ran really smoothly, thanks in no small measure to the efforts of the staff on the day who were absolutely fantastic. Highly recommended.

We had the most wonderful couple of days with the team at the Talbooth House & Spa. I ( the bride) stayed the night before with my maid of honour to settle in, the staff were really thoughtful not to disturb us but made sure that everything was ready for the day of the wedding. We had a wonderful morning getting ready in the biggest room in the house luxuriating with a breakfast outside in the sun and I took a little peak at the lawn which was going to house our ceremony that day. The team at the Talbooth took time to take care of the Groom and Groomsmen making sure they had a place to get ready and made sure all our request no matter how small were done to an excellent standard. We had the ceremony set out on the lawn, our flowers laid by our wonderful florist Emma Thomson (The Suffolk florist) setting the scene and our family and friends slowly making their way to their seats. The food for the day was absolutely wonderful. We had some canapes by the pool with a few glasses of pimms, a buffet lunch with every delicious morsel you could think of (and some special requests from us). They set out croquet on the lawn for some afternoon fun and games and we had gelato with toppings (putting a big smile on everyone's faces). For the speeches, the team at the talbooth seemlessly brought out some bubbly and made sure everyone was in the right place at the right time. Everything was thought of and we couldn't have been happier. When all the day guests had gone, the close family went for a swim at the pool house and jacuzzi (our neice and nephews were delighted) and we even got the fire lit for a cosy afternoon tipple. For the evening we just had an intimate 3 course meal set up in the garden room with close family, maid of honour and best man. We had absolutely gorgeous food and wine and the kids meals were brought out early to keep them occupied. After all that deliciousness, we had our first dance in the sitting room with live music a few songs and a few cups of coffee and chocolate truffles before bed - Perfect! A big treat for us was having the whole place to ourselves for the kids to roam around. Also, the fact that they were really accommodating of my 92 year old grandma who needed a lot of support and regular naps and that they were really on top of keeping glasses full, bellies fed and people happy. The following morning we all had breakfast at Milsoms down the road and then a coffee back at the house before packing up and heading home. The staff kindly packaged up the left over food from the buffet (there was so much left!) for the family who had lots of guests to feed while Bride and Groom headed off for their honeymoon in Sicily. All in all such a wonderful time and we can't thank the staff enough for their time and thoughtfulness. We will definitely be recommending them to our friends and will be back to stay in the near future for a wonderful relaxing spa weekend!

From the first day we went to see the venue, we did not need to look any further we were happy to book there and then! The house was amazing and was set in such a beautiful location. The facilities were everything you could ask for and more, our guests couldn't wait to show each other their rooms which were very spacious, clean with an impressive decor. The food was delicious with really good sized portions. As soon as we arrived for the wedding, the staff were very professional and organised in looking after us and our guests. They went above and beyond our expectations which helped us to relax and enjoy our perfect day.

We would highly recommend any couple to choose this as their wedding venue! It was the most amazing day, thank you for making it so special.

We had the most amazing wedding day thanks to the team at the Talbooth House. No request was ever any trouble and many of our guests remarked on how lovely and accommodating the staff were, they really looked after our guests and made them feel special.

During our planning meeting we were able to discuss the detail of the day and their knowledge about what worked well and tips were so helpful. Any special requests we had to adjust timings were accommodated to make it work for us and this helped make the day really personal to us.

We were able to hire the entire place for our wedding which made it a really intimate and special day, we can't recommend it more highly.

We got married at Talbooth house and spa on the 29th August. From the start Alex was so friendly and so helpful sending all the information we needed through with all the information on weddings at milsoms, she also booked us a one to one appointment quickly for us to go in and have a look around the venues and the different options they provided. After looking at other various wedding venues in the area we decided on Talbooth house. We wanted a small and intimate wedding and Talbooth house and spa is perfect for this. We had many meetings and email correspondence with Alex and she was so helpful throughout, nothing was too much of a problem and she listened to all of our ideas of what we wanted for our special day and turned it into exactly what we wanted. I had many questions and worry’s leading up to the day but Alex was always there either at the end of the phone or email or in person to answer them and put my mind at ease. I stayed the night before the wedding with some of my bridesmaids, we was treated amazingly from when we first turned up from someone helping us to unload all the wedding bits out of the car to them bringing some Prosecco to my room. On the morning the staff were so helpful and nothing was too much of a problem helping my florist and family to set up all the different bits to help make our wedding as amazing as it was. Our room service breakfast was so yummy. The day went more perfect than we ever could have imagined and will definitely be a day to remember. The staff was exceptional and nothing was too much bother, me and my husband both loved the fact they knew both of our names and kept coming to check personally if we were both ok or needed anything.
And taking amazing care of all our guests topping up drinks and checking if anything was needed. We opted for an outside bbq, the food was amazing and we were also happy with the fact there was more than enough for everyone to even go and have seconds or thirds.Everyone was commenting on how lovely the food was, even now weeks later. Alex also arranged at our requests some sandwiches at the end of the night for our guests that was staying the night in the hotel with us this was a big hit especially the prawn sandwiches!! We just wanted our day to feel like we had all our closest friends and family round for a gathering at home and this is exactly how it felt especially being able to have our closest friends and family spend the night with us in the hotel and then being able to go to breakfast together the next morning at milsoms, again the breakfast was lovely.
Our guests loved the venue commenting on how lovely the house was, we also had use of the pool area which all of our guests loved and it was lovely to break the day up into different sections, we had a bar and some dessert and wedding cake down there which was enjoyed by all. The children even enjoyed going swimming.
Our day was amazing and we enjoyed every second of it!! I would highly recommend Talbooth house and spa and Alex and her team for planning your dream wedding.

We had quite a traumatic experience planning our wedding as our original venue cancelled on us but the team at the talbooth saved our wedding day! They were absolutely incredible start to finish and really couldn’t have done more to make our day special, nothing was too much to ask! The whole planning experience was easy and we felt so at peace knowing our day was in the best hands, as a bride I felt so relaxed and hardly had to lift a finger! I couldn’t recommend more!
