My wife and I had a excellent 2 day stay , because of our daughter had a wedding and reception here, what a gem of a place . The staff and the wedding coordinator had done a excellent job , from start to , right down to the finest detail they all excelled. The rooms was lovely and clean and tidy, the food (breakfast, evening meal,& reception meal ) was excellent. I would certainly recommend this venue for weddings.

We have nothing but praise for the way in which our celebrations were carried out from steart to finish. After selecting Maesmawr as our venue 18months ago, we were so thrilled that we did make the choice. Lee & Amber (wedding co-ordinators) discussed everything with us,from putting us in touch with an excellent designer for invitations and placecards( Cameo), to florist, registrar, menu choices, liaising with entertainer, photographers, and room allocation. Nothing was too much trouble. So many of the 100 guests have said it has to be the most relaxed and professional wedding they have ever attended!! Our thanks go to the whole team for a very special day, one in which our dreams really did come true

I recently married at Maesmawr Hall on July 25th 2015. It's the most amazing venue, I would have traveled to have the venue but we are very lucky to live 10 minutes away. The setting was stunning, food was delicious and the staff are a real credit to Maesmawr. The wedding coordinator Lee, was absolutely fantastic, our day wouldn't have been perfect without him. He made sure everything ran smoothly, nothing was forgotten and most importantly that everyone was thoroughly enjoying the day. We stayed in the bridal suite and it was so luxurious! Thank You Maesmawr :) xxx

A little piece of perfect!!
Venue Service

We got married at Maesmawr in June this year after a 2 year process of meeting and visits and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Our first visit we stay in the charming room 11 with a beautiful view down the picturesque drive way!! We had not notified the hotel that we where think of it as a wedding venue as we wanted to see how it was for everyone without the special treatment. I am so glad we did as we felt as if we had special treatment without an alteria motive. The food was gorgouse and the wine matched!! We booked to go back to meet with Lee the wedding coordinator to discuss the wedding the morning after! On meeting Lee I knew we were in safe hands! Nothing was to much trouble and even helped with decisions and ideas for the day. Every little detail was attended to and we couldnt wait for the big day. On June 19th we took over most of the hotel with all the bridal party and guests staying the night before. Everyone enjoyed great service and lovely food and settled in to their gorgouse rooms. June 20th - we woke up in room 21 and 22 to prepare for the wedding, room service for brekkie hit the spot and constant attentivness of all the staff was amazing. The day went without a hitch, all down to Lee and the teams vast experience. The food was fantastic with service match. We couldnt thank all the staff for making our day so fantastic and all our guests agreed. I cannot wait to go back for an evening away in this little hidden gem. A little piece of heaven id say!!

Wow! We could not have wished for a better day, our wedding was perfect! Everyone commented on how lovely the venue was, the food and the service. We really couldn't fault anything. We have the staff and especially Lee to thank, our day wouldn't have run as smoothly without you.

The most beautiful setting for a wedding or just for a short break. This hotel is run by the nicest people you could wish to meet. Both the food and the accommodation is first class. As the hotel is an old manor house surrounded by wonderful countryside it makes it a perfect place to have a wedding. I attended a wedding there this weekend and it was one of the best I have ever been too. With the wedding service taking part in the function room and then the wedding breakfast in the marque we were looked after so well by the very professional staff...would highly recommend this hotel both for a wedding or just a wonderful stay.

We celebrated our special day in Maesmawr in August and have just spent the weekend there celebrating our friends' wedding: it's safe to say this hotel is top notch. The hotel and the grounds are maintained beautifully and allow for stunning photos, the rooms are clean and modern. The bridal suite feels extra special with its boutique feel- it's definitely got a wow factor. The food is always spot on and comes with friendly, professional service. But the one feature that really makes Maesmawr stand out is Lee Kendall- wedding co-ordinator extraordinaire. Lee's service is perfect; to start with he's been in the business a long time so he knows what he's talking about, he's honest ( if something won't work, he will tell you!). He is available whenever you need him; we had some conversations at 11pm! Lee gives you the direction you need when planning a wedding but still creates a sense of originality. I have been to many weddings in Maesmawr but every one is different and special! A great venue with a very special wedding co-ordinator. Thanks everyone x

Service that matters from people who care

For many months our choice of wedding venue was much deliberated. We decided on Maesmawr due to the confidence and trust inspired after meeting Lee, the events organiser, as well as the quality plus size of the venue. We were getting married in a Church some distance away but Maesmawr outshone all others so the distance was a by-the-by. Lee gave us as much attention as required over the months up to the big day. He also did a shakedown around six weeks before to settle all the details. Very professional throughout. We also had dinner there to try a sample tasting of the menu to settle our thoughts on what to go for. There is a lot to choose from!! This was a good move on our part, purely as we are indecisive on such things. On the big day, everything went flawlessly. To manage that really takes some effort indeed by Maesmawr. Lee's service staff clearly are well managed by him and the kitchen really know how to cater for large crowds. A lot of our wedding party were extremely complimentary on the quality of the food. The table settings were beautifully arranged. We really can't be thankful enough for all the help, guidance and attention given to us. It really was a special weekend in a special venue. It is a credit to the owners and it is pleasing to see they are continuing with their refurb of some of the remaining older rooms.

Brilliant stay for a wedding

We have just stayed here for a weekend for a relative's wedding and had a great time. The building is a very pretty Jacobean style timbered house with a modern extension and set in lovely grounds with mature trees. The staff were excellent - nothing was too much trouble and it has a lovely relaxed, quiet atmosphere. The food was also very good - fresh fruit salad and lots of choice for cooked breakfasts and in the evening a choice from a light bites menu or a more formal a la carte menu. The a la carte is reasonably expensive but we thought it was nice. The grounds are lovely and its easy to find a quiet spot to sit on their nice all weather rattan furniture with a coffee or a glass of wine. The only downside was we were in a room (5) that had not been redone yet as part of the ongoing revamp they are doing and it really does need doing. They have replaced all the linen throughout the hotel so that was nice to have new hotel style white Egyptian cotton bedlinen, but other than that the room was very dated and falling to pieces (the loo seat was hanging off etc). A major downside for us was also that a lot of the rooms seem only have the very small 4 ft 6 size beds rather than a kingsize or Queensize bed, which would be much more comfortable and also we had no bath - just a very small shower room. This didn't bother us that much as we were there for a wedding so not in the room that much but we wouldn't have booked somewhere with such small beds and no bath for a weekend away.
