Steeped in history and set amidst spectacular wooded countryside, Launcells Barton is a family-owned exclusive use wedding venue in Launcells, a small parish situated near Bude in North Cornwall. Along with boutique accommodation in our historic country manor house, we provide the perfect setting for both your wedding ceremony and reception, with the capacity to seat up to 200 guests. From the minute you arrive to the moment you leave, you’ll be made to feel like part of the family.
Facilities and Capacity
We offer weddings from March through to October and whether you choose to get married midweek or at a weekend, the Launcells Barton experience always includes exclusive use of the entire venue and grounds for two nights.
We give you plenty of time to set-up the day before, leaving you free to spend the morning of your wedding day getting ready with friends and family. As the day progresses, you’ll have nothing to worry about beyond having a good time. We’ll take care of everything else. The following morning, you’ll also be able to enjoy breakfast with your guests before you depart for home or your honeymoon.
You can choose to exchange vows in the historic Mill Barn or beneath a custom-built arbour within the beautiful walled garden. For your reception, the purpose-built Reception Barn can accommodate up to 200 seated guests.

With all the essentials covered, you have the freedom to choose how your wedding will unfold. Launcells Barton's completely flexible, fully bespoke approach means you can dictate every detail, from the setting of your ceremony to the catering and decor. The family-run venue has an attentive team that ensures your wedding vision is realized and carefully executed. Your dedicated wedding co-ordinator will coordinate your day ensuring the smooth running alongside our experinced bar team. You are also welcome to choose from 6 prefered caterers and various drink packages to complement your vision. Take advantage of the countryside views for your photo album, or take a tractor ride across the farm to watch the sunset during your celebrations.

An incredible venue, an incredible team and one incredible day!
We knew from the moment we set eyes on Launcells Barton that we had finally found the place we were going to get married! We feel so lucky to have stumbled across it on our annual trip to Cornwall last year because we can't imagine having a better experience.
Everything about Launcells Barton is spectacular! We were so happy to have found a venue that had accommodation on site and multiple spaces to use throughout the day and the cherry on top ...the absolutely stunning grounds!
Lara and the Launcells team are so warm, helpful and organised. They made the whole planning process so easy and stress free. We had so many comments throughout the day from our guests saying how beautiful the venue was, how lovely all of the staff were and how smoothly our day ran.
We had the best day of our lives and couldn't recommend Launcells Barton more.

The most amazing day!
We fell in love with Launcells Barton as soon as we visited and knew straightaway that it was where we wanted to get married! The grounds and buildings are really beautiful and we loved the passion that Lara and Matt have for the farm and the venue. In the lead up to the wedding, Layla and Lara were super organised, answered all of our questions and gave great advice. We used several of their recommended suppliers, who were also excellent. On the wedding day, our wedding coordinator Layla was absolutely brilliant - she was so lovely, calm and organised, and made sure the day felt really relaxed and ran completely smoothly. We had the most amazing day, and would definitely recommend Launcells Barton!

The perfect wedding!
We got married on NYE and immediately that requires extra planning, staff available to work etc. yet Lara and the team were completely accommodating. They supported us the whole way through and knew the vision we were going for. We genuinely felt like every part of the day was well thought out and our guests absolutely loved the venue. Thank you Lara & co!!!

The most magical day ever!
Our wedding at Launcells Barton exceeded our wildest dreams. We were one of the 2020 weddings which had to be postponed, and when we finally got to celebrate two years later, in July 2022, Covid was still present, making it impossible for a number of our guests to attend. After a flurry of last minute cancellations and travel mayhem for some of our closest family members from abroad, some of whom didn’t make it, we were just so grateful for the guests who did. What ensued was simply MAGIC! The sun peeked out of the clouds just as Nadia stepped out onto the aisle with her father. This set the tone for the rest of the day, which was absolute perfection – from the welcome drinks to the wedding breakfast via the garden games through to our first dance and our band absolutely killing it! Many of our guests – old and young – said it was hands down the best wedding they’d been to! We feel so lucky that it was ours.
The day truly was magical, but we are well aware of the hard work, passion, commitment it takes to make that sort of magic happen and that was all down to Lara, Matt, Maddie and their incredible team. From our very first visit to our final hours there, we felt wholeheartedly welcome and looked after, the opposite of just another couple to marry. Their rapport to us was personal, authentic, full of genuine care and concern, especially throughout the pandemic and the challenges it kept throwing our way. Steeped in history, beautiful inside and out, the venue is an absolute dream, but what truly makes it are the people who run it with so much professionalism and even more heart. We will never forget our time there and are immensely grateful for it.

A wedding venue like no other
Words cannot describe how wonderful Launcells Barton and the entire team were on our wedding day, and even the built up to our wedding day. We were blown away with the attention to detail, organisation and sheer passion and love they have for their couples and what they do... That's not even to mention the stunning house and beautiful grounds!

Best day everrr!
We’d been to look at other venues over Cornwall but there was something special about Launcells barton as soon as we pulled up in front of the house. The more we explored the grounds we just fell more in love with it. Lara initially showed us around and Maddie took care of us on the lead up to the day and was absolutely incredible. Anything we needed she had the answer or suggestions. On the day it couldn’t have gone smoother.. Maddie was everywhere we needed her to be covering our every needs… running back and forth from the house to the mill barn collecting buttonholes, mobile phones, everything we needed - we cannot thank her enough!! The attention to detail is fantastic and all the small things you wouldn’t think about but just make the day run that much smoother Launcells thought of! Thank you so so much!! :)

The most amazing wedding venue!
As soon as we visited Launcells Barton we knew we wanted to get married there. The venue itself is absolutely stunning - both barns, the courtyard, and the gardens are so beautiful and we particularly loved that guests would move around all the different spaces throughout the wedding day. At most venues with wet weather options, there is one that is clearly a second choice, but at Launcells Barton all areas are just as stunning as the next. Also the fact that we could stay at the stunning house at the venue made it feel like a weekend long celebration.
I would honestly say that the most important thing when planning a wedding is working with suppliers and teams that you trust. After meeting Lara, and subsequently Maddy, at pre-wedding meetings I had no doubt that the wedding was going to be amazing as they so clearly knew exactly what they were doing.
There are so many things to have to remember when planning and leading up to a wedding, but the system that Launcells Barton have in place made it so easy to make sure that everything was thought through. The team were always on hand to respond to queries and help with all aspects of planning.

The most perfect venue for the best day of our lives!
There actually aren't enough words to explain how we feel about Launcells Barton and our wedding day!
This was the very first venue we looked at and from that moment, we knew we had found something special. The other venues we saw the following day just did not compare to how we felt whilst walking around.
The feeling of warmth, love, history and beauty we got whilst walking around the venue- we just knew this was where we were going to getting married. It was beyond perfect in every sense and everything we had been searching for in one.
The whole lead up to the wedding was faultless; Maddie and Lara kept the whole process in perfect order and we had absolutely full trust in them and their experience - for us it was all pretty simple and stress free!
From start to finish, our wedding day was just the most fun ever- we had no stress, no worries; Lara, Maddie and the team just took complete control which allowed us to just enjoy every single moment and we are so incredible grateful for that!
There is absolutely nothing we would change- for us it was complete perfection.

Perfect venue for a perfect day
We cannot recommend launcells Barton enough. From the first visit we both could tell it was the venue for us, an absolute beautiful setting which was easily accessible yet made you feel like you were miles away from everything. Being from a farming background it was lovely to have the country touches around the setting making it feel rustic and homely. We've dealt with Maddie, one of the wedding coordinators from our first visit to the actual day. She was helpful, accomodating and always really responsive to emails in the run up to the big day. On the day everything ran smoothly and to time which is definitely down to Maddie making sure everything went to plan! Everyone commented on what a beautiful venue Launcells is from the manor house to the grounds to the reception barns.
We did occasionally find it hard to find time to come and visit at the start due to limited visiting options during busy times, but Maddie always tried to work with us to find a time we could all make.

It’s a vibe!
This venue, the owners and every member of staff that work there are nothing short of exceptional. They provided us with the best experience from start to finish and made our wedding day a dream come true. Every guest and supplier also commented on how special the venue was.
The exclusive venue has beautiful surroundings, intimate spaces, options for indoor and outdoor celebrations and just a vibe that’s hard to describe until you go there. It’s electric!
We couldn’t ask for anything more from Lara and her team and would highly recommend this venue as THE place to get married in Cornwall.

Incredible!
Myself and my husband got married in September 2023 at this gorgeous venue (the first and only venue we viewed should I add, it just felt right!)
Co ordinator Layla, was just incredible all the way up to the special day as-well as on the day. So professional, yet warm and friendly with no questions being too big or small.
On the day, Joe and I felt so stress free, everything was taken care of and we could fully relax and enjoy our day with our nearest and dearest without worrying about a thing! This, of course, was all down to Layla and the team - We honestly, hand on heart, couldn’t of wished for a better people to guide us through all the preparations up to the special day AND make our day go as smoothly as it did.

Practically perfect in every way!
We hired this venue for our daughter and son in laws wedding on 16th September. The venue, the staff, the house and setting were all equally perfect and everything was so professionally run we had nothing to worry about at all. I cannot recommend Launcells Barton and staff enough, thank you we had the best day and so did all the guests.
