Nestled in the scenic Clyde Valley, Lanarkshire, with stunning views of the Southern Uplands, Langlees offers exclusive use of its beautiful gardens as the perfect setting for the wedding day. Conveniently located less than an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh, this elegant Victorian property provides a charming and versatile outdoor space for couples looking to celebrate in style.

Facilities and Capacity

At Langlees, we work with a maximum of 10 couples each year, allowing us to give you our full attention. Whether a small gathering or a party for 350 guests, we work to craft your perfect day with complete flexibility: Our family-run team offers nearlyweds complete creative freedom to design the perfect outdoor wedding. We welcome personal touches, from vintage car arrivals to dazzling fireworks displays.

We work closely with a trusted list of suppliers for marquee hire, catering, power, restrooms, and other essential services, which we are more than happy to arrange and oversee. Alternatively, couples are welcome to bring in their own suppliers, allowing them to create a truly personalised event. A flexible approach ensures seamless event logistics, with the estate manager on hand to provide on-site coordination.

Services Offered

• Ample parking is available in a neighbouring field, ensuring easy access for guests without overcrowding the event space.
• Hosts are welcome to bring their own alcohol, with no corkage fees. We can recommend experienced suppliers for bar services and skilled bartenders if required (the chosen catering company typically manages both food and drink, ensuring a seamless event). Our team is more than happy to oversee delivery.
• While the house is only sometimes available for overnight guests, we are happy to assist in arranging accommodation at nearby hotels, ensuring all guests are well looked after whatever their budget (a private bus back to Edinburgh or Glasgow is popular with our couples too).

Pricing

Weekday Event – 2025 (event Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday)

Price Range: from £2,000 - £3,500

Weekend Event – 2025 (event Days: Friday, Saturday, or Sunday)

Price Range: from £2,000 - £5,000

*For events exceeding 200 guests, additional fees will apply based on specific requirements and services

Access

Pre-Event Access: From 12:00 to 18:00 the day before, to allow for supplier setup and event preparations. Rehearsal dinners can also be arranged upon request.

Event Day Access: From 08:00 to 24:00, giving you ample time to enjoy your celebration. With no nearby neighbours, your event can continue late into the night.

Post-Event Access: You are welcome to use the venue until midday on the morning after the event. If you would like to host a morning-after breakfast or lunch, we would usually be happy to accommodate; do enquire for further details.

Location
Langlees House is located under an hour from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, just outside the pretty market town of Biggar in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Established as a burgh of barony in the 15th century, Biggar still preserves much of its medieval charm, with its main street lined by centuries-old houses. One of its notable landmarks, Biggar Kirk, dates back to the 16th century, and is a wonderful place for your ceremony.
