We couldn’t have asked for a better winter wedding venue. From the initial planning through to the day itself, everything was handled smoothly and professionally, making the entire experience feel easy and stress-free. On the day, the team went above and beyond to ensure everything ran seamlessly, working effortlessly alongside our band, florist, and photographer. Many of our guests commented on how friendly and attentive the staff were, as well as how well organised everything was. The care and attention given to guests with dietary requirements was particularly appreciated. We had a truly perfect day and are so grateful to Connor, Steve, and the entire team for making it so special. The setting is beautiful and unique, the food was the best we’ve had at a wedding, and every member of the Priest House team was outstanding. We would wholeheartedly recommend this venue to any friends or family looking for an exceptional wedding experience.

We got married at NCEM on the 11th Oct 2025. It was such an easy and stress free process, and the recommended caterers we chose, Pastelle, were so amazing too (lots of comments from guests that it was the best wedding food they had ever had!) NCEM and India worked tirelessly to make sure we had everything we needed and made adjustments to make our vision come to life - real candles? No problem. Corkage for table wine? No issue. Sourced apple sourz for shots for the bar? Absolutely. It was honestly such a dream booking them. The venue itself is a piece of York history, and is hidden away. It's stunning, large enough for crowds with beautiful outdoor space and functional and accessible for different areas. They also directly spoke to our other suppliers once booked, making it even easier to manage the day. We went for a 3 day hire, and they let us drop off lanterns early that morning so they could be strung up by the venue with the fairy lights. On the Sunday, they had cleared the whole venue and left our belongings in corners to collect, making it super easy and efficient. NCEM in few words: friendly, beautiful and flexible.

Goldsborough Hall was the perfect setting for our wedding. Upon the first visit, we were smitten with the location set in unspoilt countryside, and the rich layers of history to the Hall. The wedding team were responsive and attentive; especially Alison, who acted as our toast master on the day and made our wedding feel smooth. It felt very special to get married here and would recommend any couple to consider doing so.

Amazing venue for afternoon drinks reception followed by street food buffet and party

Our first meeting was with Paul (General manager) who showed us around and went through all our options and customised our quote as we wanted a bit of each package, he was lovely to deal with and explained everything well, after that we dealt with Angela and Natalie who were both excellent and accommodating and offered great advise, the attention to detail was excellent and always quickly responding to emails and calls. On the day all the staff couldn't of been more helpful and attentive a stand out member of staff was Ned he was very professional, made sure we got our canapés during photos, a thank you to Paul for looking after both groom and bridal party and making sure we had all we needed and even giving my parents a lift at the end of the night. The food was excellent, lived up to what we had at our tasting session and was tweaked as we asked. We had lots of compliments about every part of the day the venue, staff and food. The day couldn't of exceeded our expectations any more we couldn't recommended them any more.
