Wonderful Venue

We stayed at The Welcombe for four nights for our wedding and could not have had a better experience from start to finish.
The wedding team helped us plan everything to perfection and the team who coordinated it all on the day really went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect wedding. All of the staff looked after us and our families like VIPs for our entire stay.
The hotel is a beautiful building inside and out and the gardens and surrounding countryside are really picturesque. The rooms are lovely, especially the feature rooms and suites which have antique furniture and really lavish decor.
The spa is one of the best I've been to in the UK and abroad - there is a main pool, indoor and outdoor spa pools, a sauna, steam room, laconium and tepidarium plus ice fountain, warm and cold rainforest showers and foot spas. We had some spa treatments during our stay which were excellent. The food in the restaurant and at the wedding was also really delicious.
Nothing was too much trouble - the hotel team even let us plug in our electric car via one of the office sockets.
Overall we were blown away by the dedication and friendliness of all the staff as well as the beauty of the gorgeous house and grounds.

A Massive Thankyou

We just wanted to say a massive thank you for helping us organise everything for Saturday. It was an absolutely fantastic day. The team on the day were just brilliant and did an amazing job of ensuring everything ran smoothly and really looking after us all weekend. We're already looking forward to coming back for our first anniversary and reliving all of the wonderful memories of the day.

Fantastic service

I was a photographer for a Wedding last Friday and just had to post a review about the venue and Staff it was a fantastic day from start to finish Sean Mills was the Wedding Contact and was truly professional and customer service is paramount he obviously loves his job and nothing was to much trouble and made my job so much easier and fun please do not lose him.
The venue was fantastic and we even had a young man who came around with us making sure everything was as it should be.
Perfection well done 10/10 for this venue and there gorgeous staff hope to see you again soon Rachel Faye Photography if your looking for somewhere to get married look no further you have found it xx.

My Wedding

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the staff at the Welcombe hotel to provide us with the perfect wedding day 19.04.19. Special thank you to Sean who was by my side every step of the way - to that I thank him.
It was a beautiful day and couldn’t of wished for a better venue to you all.

My Sons Wedding

I can not recommend the The Welcombe highly enough , my son got married here on Saturday the 30 th the venue was glorious , and all of the staff were excellent and Shaun the assistant manager made certain the whole day ran very smoothly and his willingness to make the day run smoothly was fantastic. The Welcombe suite for the breakfast was decorated as requested all the tables were perfect. The room I stayed in was spotless, the bed very comfatable .
Thanks to there help it was a perfect day .

My Sisters Wedding

Wow! What a venue! We celebrated my sister's wedding here. The hotel and its staff were amazing from start to finish. The staff were all so kind and welcoming. Sean Mills especially was an absolute delight. He was so attentive, clearly excellent at his job and really went that extra mile with everything he did, making us all feel so welcome. He is most definitely a huge asset to this amazing hotel. We really had the best time, the wedding went smoothly from start to finish. The wedding breakfast was delicious, piping hot despite the number of guests, as was all the food over the weekend. The drinks were flowing, hats off to the waiters/waitress's and bar staff for being on hand at every moment with a top up!

We also arranged a surprise hen weekend here in the apartments and spa attached to the hotel. The apartments were amazing and again this was so well put together. We we treated like royalty lol Sean again was incredible, along with Mr Butler in the spa who was a delight too and really made us feel welcome and comfortable! Another asset to this beautiful hotel.

I couldn't recommend this hotel enough, it's clean, comfortable, the staff so accomodating and has the most incredible views!

Hoping to return soon for a relaxing spa weekend.

Thanks so much to all the staff for giving me sister and my now brother-in-law the best wedding ever!

Thank You

Sean Mills & Natalie, the wedding coordinator, and everyone of your staff from mangers to porters and even the maintenance man who was brilliant are a credit to your hotel. Everyone at the wedding, and I mean everyone, was so impressed how they made sure the wedding, the food and accommodation was perfect and if there was anything it was dealt with straight away. Through Sean’s control it went like clockwork very professional and the staff was smiling and looked happy.

This meant that Because of Sean my husband and I and the bride and groom were allowed to relax and enjoy the day knowing he was there.
The amount of our guest who have already posted to all their families and friends how lovely the hotel is and our American relatives said they can’t wait to come back.

Please could thank them on behalf of all my family &friends for making this weekend a dream and fantastic wedding day that will never be forgotten.

Our Wedding Day

We have recently had our wedding at the Welcombe and we must say it was outstanding.
From the moment that we walked into the place 18 months ago we knew that it was the perfect venue for our wedding.
A special thank you must go to Jess the hotel wedding planner who was instrumental in helping us plan our day and has been on hand to assist us all the way through.
The day itself went perfectly to plan and we could not have asked for a better day. All our guests have commented on the quality of the hotel facilities and staff, with many of them saying its without doubt the best wedding venue that they have been to.

Taylor Moore Wedding 20th September 2014

We were married at the Menzies Welcombe on 20th September. We fell in love with the hotel on our first visit and booked the wedding the next day! Jess and her team were outstanding. I am a complete control freak but Jess made allowances for this and supported me 100% in the planning of our day. We arrived the day before the wedding and Jess and her team made this day very special for me and my family that came with me. We had booked the Countess Suite as our bridal suite which I think is a must - the most beautiful hotel room that we (and most of our guests) had ever seen - a real wow factor. The wedding day itself ran completely to plan thanks to Alex, Carl and Jess. Noting was ever too much trouble (my little boy didn't want to eat the food and Carl made him toast - cooked to his specific requirements). We chose the Welcombe Suite for our reception as we had 107 guests. We had afternoon tea which was stunning and then a BBQ at night - there was more than enough food and the quality was 100% - my guest feedback has been amazing. I really can't recommend this venue enough - go and meet Jess and her team - however the hotel really does sell itself.

August wedding 2014

We had our wedding reception at the hotel in early August. Jess, the wedding coordinator, was fantastic throughout the whole process & all our queries & requests taken into consideration. The hotel is stunning, especially the gardens. During our wedding reception we had a fantastic time. We were running late for the meal & couldn't believe how accommodating the staff were. Erwann, function manager, was great throughout the day & put us at ease about being late. The food was great. We had been able to tailor the menu to what we wanted & portion sizes were generous too.

We received so many good comments from our guests about the venue & food.

Such a beautiful setting- we look forward to visiting again soon!

wedding April 2014

We had our wedding here back in April 2014 and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Not only was the weather just sensational but the venue and staff couldn't have done any more for us. They made it so easy for us, we were completely relaxed throughout the day. Our day could not have been possible without Jessica the wedding co ordinator.
