Swinney Wood offers a secluded woodland venue in Derbyshire for private elopement ceremonies.

Designed for couples who want to say ‘I do’ in complete privacy, ceremonies take place under a canopy of trees, immersed in nature and centred on intimacy and connection.

Every elopement includes a three or four-night stay for two in Serein, one of Swinney Wood’s luxury log cabins, featuring a private hot tub, sauna, four-poster bed and log burner. Each couple is supported by dedicated coordination throughout, ensuring the experience feels seamless while allowing the freedom to personalise the details.

Swinney Wood is licensed for legal ceremonies and specialises in romantic, low-key celebrations within private woodland. The experience is shaped around privacy, calm and togetherness, rather than a large-scale event.

Elopements are designed for the couple; however, a very small number of guests may be accommodated where additional log cabins are booked.
