Dreamy weekend celebration at Cuckoo Down Farm
We had the most gorgeous celebration at Cuckoo Down Farm! Becky and John were so lovely, from the first day we visited they gave us lots of lovely support and advice, and so much freedom to craft exactly the wedding we wanted. We hired the whole space for a weekend, put up a twin-hat tipi, made a pallet-pub and went bunting mad! We had our hand-binding ceremony in the woods on the Saturday, with all of our family and friends sat on hay bales in the dappled sunshine. Then we served up homemade soup and bread for lunch, followed in the evening by a potluck dinner and a local folk band, and finished it off sat around a big fire singing. Sunday was for playing games and relaxing, including use of the hot tub! Our family and friends were all really comfortable in the yurts and safari tents, and there was also plenty of room for extra campervans and tents. The facilities were perfect, and I think everyone felt like they’d been on holiday. It was so magical, and the perfect place for our party!Sent on 01/12/2019

Our magical wedding weekend
Thank you for a magical wedding celebration at cuckoo down farm!Sent on 05/12/2019
We had a beautiful humanist ceremony in the woods surrounded by 140 family and friends sat on hay bales. The views and endless natural greenery made a great backdrop for photos. Whilst our guests headed down to the marquee for bubbles and pimms, we enjoyed a short walk together through the woods to meet the tractor ready for a grand entrance back to meet our guests. We enjoyed field games, wonderful catering and glorious weather. Many of our guests stayed on site in the yurts and safari tents which meant that we could come back and enjoy their company even longer the next day. A particular delight was being so close to the sea - there’s nothing more relaxing than a sea swim to calm the nerves the night before the big day. Highly recommend!
A particular thanks to John and Becky who worked so hard to make our wedding weekend just magical. X
