A very special wedding reception
By Vikki and Andy, on 29 Jan 2013
Dear Buckland's Team
We just wanted to express our gratitude for making our wedding reception and stay with you so special.
We had a fantastic day and the Blue Room was perfect, with the sun streaming in! Your staff are exceptional and made our whole stay so wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and the chef was also very accommodating with our requests. And on that note, the food was absolutely delicious. All in all we are so pleased we chose to celebrate our wedding at Buckland and look forward to seeing you again.

Our magical winter wedding
By Charlene O'Neill, on 24 Jan 2013
Firstly, I rarely gush, I have high expectations and for our winter wedding on December 21st I wanted nothing less than perfection. We got everything and more.
Buckland is a wonderful location, we knew before we had even viewed it that it would be our venue. Andrea was professional, attentive and understood our requirements perfectly.
Our day from start to finish was magical, the staff were nothing short of amazing, they were seamless. Andrea again very professional but more than that calm and knew where I needed to be and when.
The food was exceptional and all of our guests enjoyed the wedding breakfast immensely, the waiting staff were wonderful, friendly, polite and there if you needed them.
I cannot say enough how completely perfect Buckland was, if anyone is thinking about this hotel for their venue you will not be disappointed.
Our suite was beautiful, our wedding was everything we could've hoped for and more. We had a wonderful photographer Barney Walters who captured all the moments we missed and has given us a lifetime of lovely memories.
We are so grateful to all the staff at Buckland for making our day one we will never forget and one our guests are still talking about. I wish we could do it all over again!
Thank you so very much :)
Best Day Ever

We were married at Buckland Tout-Saints and we could not fault a thing. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding and the staff were so helpful. We stayed in the bridal suite - Camellia, which was absolutely stunning. I wish we could have stayed longer. We had exclusive use so it really did feel like it was ours for the day. Buckland Tout Saints has such a lovely atmosphere, we felt right at home here. Will be going back for our anniversary, if not before!

Buckland Tout-Saints Hotel has just hosted our youngest daughter's wedding. Her and her now husband fell in love with this place when they first visited. Set in an idealic location it is perfect for any occasion from a family function or a quiet weekend retreat. The accommodation is superb from the reception rooms to the luxurious well appointed bedrooms.
The hotel staff were all very attentive and friendly. The food excellent. All of our guests had a wonderful time and all were very impressed with their rooms and service. Thank you to everyone at Buckland for a wonderful weekend.
Our Wedding 26th May
By Frankie and Nick, on 14 Jul 2012
We wanted to thank you for the excellent arrangements made for our wedding. All our guests thought the setting was lovely and were suitably impressed with the hotel both inside & out. The ceremony went smoothly and drinks & canapés on the terrace meant that we could greet our guests & mingle while pictures were taken before the arrival of our entertainment from Dartmoor Hawking which fascinated everyone especially the children.
The meal was served spot on time & was delicious. We had numerous compliments about the food and the standard of service by the waiting staff. The food was appetising, hot & beautifully presented. We also appreciated the floral decorations from Blue Geranium which have lasted for days afterwards.
Our evening Disco in the Kestrel suite had everyone on the dance floor so the party continued until midnight when tired & happy we retired for a good night’s rest! The music selection from Your Big Event was very good & Andy‘s compering amusing which kept the atmosphere lively throughout.
Although not the Bridal suite our room was comfortable & spacious. The décor both in the bedroom & throughout the hotel was to a good standard. Those who stayed at the hotel from our wedding party (about 20) were seated together & enjoyed a tasty breakfast before leaving.
In all the wedding was a big success & our thanks are to you & the team for making it happen.
The perfect wedding
By Susan and John, on 14 Jul 2012
On the 8th May 2012, my now husband and I tied the knot. Perfect is not enough to describe how fabulous our day was. We have stayed at the Buckland a number of times now, Bluebell being 'our room' and where John asked me to marry him. Everytime our stay has been first class; the staff are friendly and helpful, the service is exemplary and the food is fantastic.
Therefore on picking a venue for our wedding we looked no further than the Buckland. We hired the entire hotel, and our friends and family felt at ease and comfortable for our entire wedding. The rooms range from classically styled to more contemporary, large to small (yes we did look at them all!) but all are clean, tidy and comfortable. Camellia is the largest suite in the hotel (I obviously had this as the demanding bride!!) and really is huge, complete with a full dining room suite and chaise longue, decadent luxury! Nothing was too much trouble; Andrea (Wedding Co-Ordinator) could not have done more to make sure we were happy. Everything went perfectly, from the ceremony to the final dance! The sun shone which meant that we could enjoy the stunning gardens and drinks on the lawn. And the food was delicious, we have honestly heard nothing but the highest compliments from our wedding guests regarding the service and standard of the meals they received.
I can't recommend the Buckland enough be it for a romantic and beautiful setting for a weekend away or....getting married!
It truly was the best day of our lives!
It was beyond our dreams....

What hard work juliet and her team put in to everything. From the moment we booked until the moment she saw us off on honeymoon, nothing was too much trouble. We were all made to feel so relaxed and welcome and that doesn''t happen without a lot of legwork in the background.
Everything about the occassion was perfect...

Everything was perfect - the venue, the food, the staff, the setting - I can not fault anything. Juliet, the wedding co-ordinator is great - she understood exactly what my daughter wanted and made it happen. The photos I have seen so far are absolutley magical.
Fabulous, Absolutly Fabulous!

Stunning venue, beautiful conference room, delicious food, wonderful service, fabulous bedrooms! And Juliet the wedding co-ordinator is wonderfull, she gets just as excited as you do and makes you feel like you're the best bride they've ever had through their doors! Nothing is too much trouble for them! Bit pricy but very much worth it!
A Romantic setting, an elegant, intimate hotel, wonderful food and exemplary service all make this an outstanding wedding venue.

Our daughter’s wedding in May 2008 at Buckland-Tout-Saints Hotel was absolutely perfect. No exaggeration – simply perfect. If you want a romantic venue for a non-religious civil ceremony followed by a wedding breakfast and celebrations, Buckland is the ideal location. The hotel is a beautiful, listed, William & Mary Manor House in its own extensive grounds. It’s friendly, relaxed and intimate while still creating a very classy impression. It’s fairly small, only 16 beautiful bedrooms, but that’s ideal as it makes it easy to fill all the rooms with your own guests. The ceremony was held in an elegant, oak-panelled room. The registrar was charming and happy for the bride and groom to make their own vows as well as the legal ones and there were readings and music too, so it felt as special as a church service without being religious, which was exactly what the bride and groom wanted. Canapés and welcome drinks were served outside immediately after the ceremony, so the guests were very happy to drink, eat and chat while photos were being taken. The wedding breakfast was in the Kestrel Suite, which looked great, with elegant furniture and table settings. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing too flashy, but well-presented and well-cooked with wonderful flavours. Afterwards, coffee was served on the terrace while the room was prepared for the evening party. The hotel staff were exemplary polite, attentive and friendly, in particular Juliet Kosta, the events manager, was charming and very efficient throughout the planning process and on the day. We have had many very complimentary letters from guests and several have said that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. So, as I said…. perfect!
Beautiful location, stunning hotel, superb staff - all the ingredients for a perfect wedding
By Amy Clayton, on 24 Jun 2008
Where do we start - my husband and I had an amazing wedding at Bucklands – and we really do think it is the perfect location for a wedding. When first planning our wedding we looked at many locations in South Devon and Bucklands really stood out for many good reasons. It is a stunning, intimate hotel that is beautifully presented set in its own private valley offering wonderful views with only wildlife and sheep as background noise. This along with the extremely friendly & helpful hotel staff meant it wasn't long before we had booked Bucklands for our wedding. Juliet Kosta, the Events Manager, was a god-send throughout the planning process - nothing was too much trouble and nothing panicked or phased her and she was always on hand to give advice when we needed it. Fast-forward to the big day - it really is hard to sum up what a fantastic and special day we had. A big huge thanks must go to all the staff, who were extremely attentive, extraordinary polite and most importantly made sure the party went without a hitch and Juliet for all the small details – meeting me at the back entrance of the hotel on the morning of the wedding to smuggle me in, arranging my wedding dress before walking down the aisle, and handing my new husband and I glasses of champagne immediately after the ceremony. The chef must also be mentioned for his stunning food - how he cooked 80 fillet steaks to perfection I shall never know! In hindsight – would we choose it again? Absolutely – without doubt.
Beautiful country house hotel
By Miabelle, on 14 Jul 2005
I hope I'm not tempting fate by reviewing our venue before the wedding, but based on our experience so far, Buckland is fantastic. It is tucked away down narrow, steep lanes in deepest South Devon so you can forget about arriving in a stretch limo! The house is immaculate, with a beautiful front lawn and gardens with fountain and terrace. Whenever we have visited the lawns are like putting greens and there is an abundance of flowers. The rooms are glorious, from the intimate panelled Queen Anne Restaurant to the light and bright Kestrel Suite. The bedrooms are everything you imagine from a superior country house hotel. Last time we visited there was a party still sitting down to lunch at 4pm which I think sums up the comfortable surroundings; they had been to a wedding there the previous week and all said it was the best wedding they had ever attended and could they come to ours too?! Julie, the Wedding Co-ordinator, is so helpful, and makes everything feel possible.
