Anteros Arts Foundation offers prospective couples a unique and historic venue right in the heart of Norwich. Our characterful grade 2 listed Tudor building provides an array of initimate rooms and spaces for couples to choose from as the backdrop for their big day. We have a range of options available and are always happy to discuss individual preferences or requirements; we are a small, friendly team!
The Music Room provides the perfect room for ceremonies featuring original 16th windows and fireplace, a painted Tudor ceiling and a stunning wooden floor. There is also a Steinway Grand Piano which you are welcome to use during your ceremony. The maximum seated capacity for this room is 80 people. You can also opt to have your ceremony in the Main Gallery where the maximum capacity is also 80 people. This is a beautiful room featuring a carved Tudor ceiling, large fireplace and majestic stone floor.
If you choose to have your Reception with us, you will have access to all our rooms as well as our romantic Courtyard. You are free to use the Main Gallery either for a buffet-style meal (maximum 100 guests) or for a sit- down meal (maximum 60 guests).
After dining the room can be rearranged as you require. You are free to decorate the rooms as you wish subject to prior arrangement and with respect for the building’s magnificent listed features.
Whilst we do not provide catering ourselves, you are welcome to bring in external caterers subject to our approval. Our friends next door at The Merchant’s House cafe will supply all your beverage needs throughout the day including hot and cold drinks, a private bar, wine and water for the table and champagne or similar for toasting. The bar will be responsible for all glassware and refrigeration however a corkage service is available if you prefer to bring your own drinks.
The Anteros Arts Foundation is a charity for education and the promotion of the arts in Norfolk. We run art exhibitions and art courses throughout the year and also host live musical performances. Most of our wedding slots fall in the summer months when we take a break from exhibitions. However, we can sometimes fit weddings in at other times given sufficient notice.
