We had an amazing wedding day in April at the De Vere Latimer Estate. The weather made it extra special highlighting the beautiful location overlooking the river Chess.
The staff were very accommodating as the bride is coeliac and there were other allergies in the party. The food was amazing and made gluten free throughout the drinks reception canapes and wedding breakfast through to the evening reception.
Detailed planning sessions with Amy and Bea from arranging the date right up to the big day. Everything we hoped would be our special day came to life.
We had the luxury package which included wedding stationery and the DJ and drinks for the reception and dinner.
We loved that everything from the ceremony to the evening party was all in one place and our guests could stay overnight. There's plenty of accommodation and parking. Feedback from our guests was that they were very impressed with the venue and had a great day.
Great value for money (note you need to pay for the registrars separately, this isn't included as part of the wedding package). We highly recommend the venue for your wedding.

Amazing day the staff were amazing, the weather was unpredictable , we had all seasons in one day apart from snow.
I loved wearing my dress even if I did trip on it a few times.
The venue let us set up the night before and Alex was brilliant clearing the room after the event, was dreading the clear up mission, all our decorations were put in a room near the main door.
Easier to pack up and load cars.
Although I was nervous getting ready the staff made me feel at ease and talked me through the whole day of what was happening next.

We got married at De Vere Latimer on 27th Sep 2025, it was the most amazing day and everything we hoped it would be and more! Amy was our wedding co-ordinator and she was absolutely brilliant! Always so responsive and professional despite my multiple questions in the run up to the day. We got married in the Cavendish Suite which is stunning with amazing chandeliers, and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking. All of our guests commented how amazing the venue was. We felt it was great value for money compared to the other venues that we also visited locally, and it lived up to every expectation with lots of extras included in the package we chose such as the DJ and stationary. We had multiple event managers supporting on the day and it ran smoothly, with everyone commenting how much fun they had. We can’t thank Latimer enough for everything and would highly recommend to any future couples getting married.

We booked this venue for our wedding in May 2025 about 1.5 years before the date, and spoke to Amy all throughout our journey. She was always super helpful and quick at being able to help us. We had so many questions along the way, and we were never made to feel like they were stupid. Amy was also very flexible, with our timings, things we wanted to use in the venue, etc. Nothing ever felt like too much. The accommodation and grounds are stunning, our guests are still talking about, and many even made sure they used the hotel facilities and walked around the grounds whilst staying. We did the dry hire package due to having a Hindu ceremony and Civil ceremony, and the value for money in terms of space we were able to use was really good. Would highly recommend.

Jess was our Event Manager and she was incredible from start to finish! Her communication, advice and support was 10/10. Jess went above and beyond and made the planning process stress free.
Bea and Nick (toastmaster) were incredible on the day and made sure the day ran smoothly.

We had our wedding at Latimer De Vere Estate and it was everything we dreamed of and more. The venue itself is stunning – a hidden gem with breathtaking views and a magical atmosphere. The staff were incredible from start to finish, so friendly and attentive. A huge thank you to Amy, our amazing wedding planner, who made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. We’re still reminiscing about our day and truly wish we could do it all over again. Highly, highly recommend.

From the second we saw Latimer, we knew it ticked all of our wedding venue boxes. Beautiful indoors and outdoors, accessible and laid out close together, accommodation on site, confident and friendly staff, and an absolutely awesome staircase.

Jess made us feel so relaxed from day one (which is quite impressive as we're both quite highly strung) and walked us through everything we needed to know at every point of the process. We were so pleased with how the venue catered to all of our requests including many complicated dietary restrictions, a coeliac bride, a first look on the iconic staircase, incorporating traditional liquor from my family, an L shaped aisle, and organising a pre-wedding day meal for our guests.

When the day before the wedding arrived, we felt so at ease from the second we arrived and knew exactly how to contact our on-the-day coordinator (Bea) for anything we needed. We both had gorgeous rooms to get ready in and everything on the wedding day ran with complete professional precision.
We were so happy with how the day went at the time, and looking back we can't find a single thing we could fault. Latimer made our day literally and completely perfect!

We will cherish the beautiful memories we made there forever and can't recommend them enough - we know we made the 100% right choice to host our special day here. Thank you so much Jess, Bea and the rest of the Latimer team.

Planned my wedding event at Latimer Estate and it turned out perfectly! A real hidden gem of a venue as I hadn’t come across this venue in my initial search. Venue capacitates for up to 200 (less if you include stage) and holds an extensive lawn area which can be used for event. This was ideal for guests to go out onto, especially if weather conditions are good. The best backdrop for photos, and to be honest the whole venue has different areas which are great photo shots. Staff were very efficient on the day and wedding team at Latimer were helpful throughout the planning process till the wedding day.
Suites available for guests and couples are of very good standard. Would definitely recommend booking either for wedding venue or stay over trip.

We knew from soon after we got engaged that De Vere Latimer would be top of our list of potential venues. After a bit of searching we booked a meeting with Jess, the weddings coordinator and quickly our minds were made up. We set our date for 7th December 2024 and started planning!
Jess and her team were incredible throughout the whole planning process, giving us advice and reassurance and scheduling meetings at various points to ensure everything was on schedule.
Nothing was ever too much trouble and our experience was really enjoyable. It was so nice to feel confident that a bulk of the planning was taken care of by true professionals who have run hundreds of weddings and really know their stuff in the industry.
It was small stuff like Jess suggesting we had our ceremony a little earlier at noon to make the most of the daylight, which we wouldn’t have necessarily considered. We were also able to invite our dog for some of the day for some photos, which truly meant the world.
Jess organised for us to enjoy a fabulous menu tasting. Where to begin with the food… the choices, the menus and the quality of the food was absolutely fantastic. We had so many compliments on the day by our guests who loved our wedding breakfast. We were all wined and dined all day long with canapés, drinks, a three course dinner and food into the evening, with the wood fired pizzas being a huge hit with our guests.
We enjoyed the most incredible, emotional and fun filled day from start to finish, fully supported by Jess, Karina and Bea who were amazing all day long. They could not have done more for us. They helped to coordinate our beautiful ceremony room, set up our eating area and brought all of our dreams to reality with a gift table, Christmas tree, cheese stack and cake which they even decorated for us.
We had a wonderful toastmaster, Nick, on the day who helped the day flow.
From saying our vows in the Cavendish Suite to enjoying our three course dinner and then dancing the night away with our live band, our guests enjoyed spilling out into the Huntley Bar to recline on sofas and enjoy sparklers on the steps of the mansion. It was magical.
We can’t put into words how pleased we are that we chose De Vere Latimer as our wedding venue and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We had the most wonderful perfect day it couldn’t have gone any better! We can’t stop smiling! 
 
The venue is truly amazing! We had a small intimate wedding with just 32 including ourselves and the room worked perfectly creating a relaxed day which everyone loved and commented as much.

Our photographer Karolina was inspired by the most beautiful setting she even stayed longer to capture the essence of the surroundings.

Latimer House provided the perfect location for our civil ceremony - the Cheyne room was a gorgeous setting for both the ceremony and the dinner with a beautiful backdrop over the Chess Valley, and the library provided a cosy yet classy space to drink champagne and enjoy the moment with family. The backdrop of the impressive manor house, carriage driveway and valley have made for fantastic photos. Our overnight stay in the Junior Suite was included; the room was spacious, clean and incredibly comfortable with a nice view. All the staff were very attentive throughout our time there and we felt well-looked after. Everything went smoothly with not a thing out of place. Thank you also to the wedding team in the months leading up to the day, they made it easy and stress-free to plan the details. Thank you for making our day special, we have enjoyed the many compliments from our families who joined us - we will be back!

We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at De Vere Latimer estate in June 2024.

We had Jess as our events manager and she made all the planning so simple and easy. We got to catch up with her before the wedding at different points to make sure we were all on schedule and to answer all our questions.

On the day before the wedding and on the day itself it was wonderful to have Jess around as she offered all the last min support we needed and put us at ease.

We had the wonderful Karina running the day, keeping across the set up, suppliers and guests’ needs. She made sure everything flowed smoothly and she would handle any requests we had straight away.
She is a massive asset to the venue and anybody getting married will be lucky to have her run the day!

The food was delicious and even ticked all the boxes for our most picky eaters.
Lots of the guests commented that this was the best wedding food they have ever had!

The venue both inside and outside created amazing opportunities for our photographer to take beautiful shots.

I cannot thank the whole team enough for making it the most memorable day of our lives.

Our whole experience from start to finish was amazing. The support and guidance we received from Jessica, from the first visit to after the wedding, was amazing. She was extremely helpful and informative. She made the experience super easy and it took all the stress away from us! On the wedding day, Karina was superb. She helped make the day go smoothly without any hiccups. The whole team and all the staff we encountered were fantastic and super professional. Our vision was created perfectly and nothing was too much or an issue. The food was great and the stay was an excellent way to end our wedding. Couldn't recommend enough.

We celebrated our wedding reception at Latimer house and it was the most amazing day ever. Jess is the most wonderful wedding coordinator.she will prompt you for information but not hassle you. I enjoyed planning the reception with her. Jess and Karina together ensured that our wedding day was perfect and exactly as we wanted it. All our guests had a spectacular time and raved about the venue! Cannot highly recommend enough!
