Every wedding needs the perfect setting - “Never Ordinary, Always Aldwark “
Commissioned by Lord Walsingham in 1865 as a wedding present for his eldest daughter – surely it is only fitting that over 150 years later Aldwark Manor Estate is available to host your day of dreams.
In 2019 this beautiful venue was brought into private ownership for the first time in 25 years and a loving, sympathetic and crafted restoration commenced. If you are looking for originality, flair, elegance, passion, individuality, attention to detail and yes, a dash of quirkiness – your search is over!
The care and attention to our regeneration is immediately visible as you emerge from the country lanes to be greeted by impressive and sympathetically restored stone columns, through which you catch your first glimpse of the mellow, red brick hotel set within an impressive 185 acres, encompassing an 18 hole golf course and grounds populated with hundreds of mature trees, signalling the commencement of your wedding journey.
The fountain cascades as you arrive at the oak doors and enter through a marbled reception area with a 5 metre chandelier dropping from the raised ceiling. We have created a “brides photo step” to take advantage of the wonderful backdrop and the fountain, hotel and gardens all light up in an array of colours to match your theme!
Currently offering 49 house bedrooms in a wide variety of styles - a number with hot tubs and balconies - a further 38 rooms are planned for 2023.
The Aldwark promise – one wedding only - IT REALLY IS YOUR DAY!

Cannot put into words how utterly disappointed we are with Aldwark Manor. We booked our wedding over 2 years ago for October this year and we contacted to see if we could move it to next year. We was told that we couldn't do this as we had a package with the previous owners and that stops the end of this year. They said they would look into this for us and then got a phone call back after speaking to the owners and they told us that they have decided to give our deposit back to us and cancel the wedding as there will be renovation work taking place and it would be a "construction site". Not only was this disappointing after having our heart set on a venue but also very stressful as weddings early this year had to re book theres due to covid so would be difficult to not only find a venue we liked but also find one that was affordable and available. It was also very clear that the owners didn't even realise our wedding was booked in as they stated that they didn't want any weddings to go ahead later this year! We asked if we could speak to the owners regarding this and was told that they will not agree to speak to us and we had to speak to the manager! It is quite clear that aldwark manor is no longer customer service based and is now money orientated. If you would like to go with a posh showy Hotel that doesn't care then aldwark is the place but if you would like to go with a lovely hotel that also cares about its customers and will do the most to make you happy, look elsewhere. Be aware if you have booked at aldwark manor, I would advise you phone to check they can still accommodate you.Sent on 26/02/2021

Our Wedding Day
Both myself and my Husband agree that Aldwark Manor was the right choice for our wedding ceremony and venue. We went for the All Exclusive package which was worth every penny. As part of the package we opted for fireworks which were sensational and made our day so special. The staff at Aldwark are all so friendly and professional, and you are made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Our Wedding co-ordinator Kim was amazing too, keeping in regular contact and making sure everything was sorted so that on the day the wedding went smoothly and stress free. The day we got married was one of the hottest days of the year and there was a really bad downpour in the morning but this didn't spoil the day. The food was exceptional and there was some lovely options to choose from for the wedding meal. The hog roast in the evening also went down very well! In addition we hired our own magician (the Yorkshire magician) and also the magic selfie mirror hosted by mimi events which oyr guests loved!Sent on 16/12/2018
We had a fantastic wedding and so did our guests and we would wholeheartedly recommend Aldwark Manor not just as a wedding venue but also as a very relaxing and enjoyable place to stay.

We cannot thank Kim and the team at Aldwark Manor enough for our perfect wedding day. Everything went to plan and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The food was also amazing. We will definitely be returning in the future.Sent on 06/09/2017
