I did have a great speech worked out for you today, but as I am now married, my wife has told me what to say instead.

So on behalf on my wife and I. We would like thank you all for coming here today and sharing our special day with us.

There are several people here tonight who I would like to thank.

I'd like to start by thanking my parents for everything they have done in raising me. They have loved and supported me
through every stage of my life and I am so grateful to them for all the advice they have given me and for always pointing
me in the right direction. I'd also like to thank them for all the hard work and effort they have put in to make this day a success.
I would like to thank Nancy's Mother for the kindness she has shown me and for welcoming me into their family since day one.

My brother Rob who has always been there to lend a helping hand, not only is he my brother, but also one of my best friends.
Then there is my new Mother n law who has welcomed me into the family since day 2 , day 1 was a little rocky. Just kidding!
She has be great to me since the first time we met.
Nancys ‘d also like to thank her for bringing up such a beautiful, funny, intelligent daughter.

My new sister Doris, without her we would still be preparing this wedding.Thankyou for doing the
wedding invitations, the dinner menu and everything else that needed doing…

Also Luciana and Suzy for helping with the decorations and invitations.

I thankyou all very much for helping us out.

Now I would like to tell you all how Nancy and I first met 6 yrs on this day may 11 1996.
In 1996 I WAS 25 YRS old, single and living at home, so like any young single guy with
alot of disposable income I was out partying and going to the bars every weekend.Myself
along with Remo, Louie, Carlo, Rob and a few other friends would have our Weekly nightclub schedule:

Wednesday – Big Bam Boo
Thursday – wild coyote
Friday – Kits Pub
Saturday – Richards

Well this particular Saturday it was Carlo and I. Everyone else was busy. So Carlo comes by my place
picks me up and it being Saturday we know it's going to be Richards. We get down to Richards Street,
drive by the club and the line is half way around the block and it's raining (SURPISE, SURPISE).

We weren't about to wait in a hour long line up in the rain, we needed a rum and coke and we wanted it now .

What are we going to do? Hmm..
Let's go check out that new club called "Johny loves", shouldn't be a line up there. We get to Johnny loves
and walk right in. First thing is first, grab a rum and coke and then walk around scoping out girls
and look as cool as possible.

This one girl in particular caught my attention :
a petite girl standing 5’3 with streaked blonde hair and warm brown eyes. I glanced at her and she glanced back
but me being the shy guy that I was I just kept on walking. I needed some liquid courage in me to get the ball rolling,
so I headed back to the bar for a few more rum and cokes. Now and few hours has past and couple more drinks cokes have been
finished, I'm feeling pretty good and what do you know I'm not shy anymore.

The cute little blonde that had eye contact with me at the beginning of the night is walking by me at this point. "Hi" I say
she responds back "hi" and continues walking by me. Some smooth operator I am, still too scared to intiate a conversation.
Next time she walks by I'm pulling her over. Another 30 min pass by, I'm still in the same spot now I'm starting to look like
part of the furniture. This is ridiculous…

There she is 5 ft in front of me..
OK Cos "ask her to dance it's now or never"..
The music is pretty loud so I gesture to her
"Would you like to dance?"
She turns around making sure that I'm asking her and not someone else behind her.
She turns to the left then to the right then looks back at me.

"Who me?" she responds.
Yes, would you like to dance?
"Sure" she says..

We get on the dance floor,
"Hi", I'm Cosimo
"Whats your name?" Nancy she replies..

We chat a bit more get on the topic of nationality
"I'm Italian, what nationality are you?"

Cool she's Italian at least she will understand why I live at home and why my Mommy still makes my bed…
anyways by this time its closing time, time to get her phone number. Nancy gives me her number, I write it down
and I put it in my wallet. We say goodnight to each other and I'm
hoping she didnt give me a fake number. I'll call Monday night thinking to myself..

The next day it's Mother's Day and also my little cousins communion celebration so I go meet the rest of my family,
aunt, uncle and cousins. Before I go on I should explain that I used to have a bad habit of leaving my wallet in the glove
compartment of my truck.

I get to the family function stay for 3 hours, OK time to leave. I head for the underground parking lot and my truck isn't there.
Maybe it's on the lower level of the parking lot, only one problem it seems there is no lower level. This is when I start swearing,
My truck is stolen and my wallet is in the glove compartment of the damn truck. OK well I guess Mom and Pop are giving me a lift home.

We arrive at home and the day couldnt get any worse or could it? Well my truck is stolen and my wallet is in the truck.
I decide to call Nancy but I don't recall the phone number, those rum and cokes from last night are to blame. I check out the
pocket in my jeans. no luck, then it hits me the phone number is in the wallet which is in the truck. So some thief is gonna go on my date.

So now I have no truck, no wallet and now no girl to call!

I remember Nancy mentioning that she went to Gladstone Highschool during our conversation at the club. I call up a friend of mine who went to Gladstone Highschool.
I tell my buddy "Norman" the story about the club, my truck being stolen and the wallet being in the truck with the phone
number. "Hey Norman can you check your annual for a girl named Nancy who graduated in 1994" He pulls out the annual starts searching.
He comes across the name Nancy massullo, sounds Italian. then he reads out the phone number (XXX-XXXX).

Woo hoo It's the right number.

I called Nancy and the rest as they say is history …
6 years later, to the date, here we are celebrating our wedding day.
And now I would like everybody to stand so I can toast the lady who has changed my life.

Nancy, you are everything I have ever wanted, and everything I need. I love you eternally.
