Welcome everyone to our wedding, it really does mean a great deal to both me and Michaela for you all to be here. We know a lot of you have travelled a long way to be here today, so we hope you today is enjoyable for you as it is special to us.

There are a number of people we would like to thank so please bear with me and ensure your glass is full. First of all I'd like to thank Greg for a great speech and your kind words. Traditionally I'm supposed to thank both you and Teresa for welcoming me into the family today, but it would be strange for me to do that since you really have both made me feel like part of your family for a number of years now, I genuinely could not have asked for nicer in laws. I'm proud to now be able to call myself your son in law, and I hope I can live up to your expectations, which I'm sure given the standard set by your other son in law I don't have too much to worry about!

Seriously though I would like to thank you both for everything you have done, not just for this wedding but also in raising a beautiful daughter. Here we have a small token of our appreciation and can everyone please raise their glass – Teresa & Greg

I'd also like to thank my mum, it's been difficult as there are not enough words to due this justice, to sum it up we haven't had an easy ride through life and it's never easy raising not one but two children as single parent but you did a great job to make me the man I am today, and I'm extremely proud of everything you managed to achieve in later life. We also have a gift for you.

To the Groomsmen, John, Brian & Nick we would like to thank you for doing absolutely nothing today!! Only joking guys, thanks for all your help today getting everyone where they were supposed to be and thanks for the reading Nick. We also have a gift for you.

To the bridesmaids, you all look absolutely amazing today. You've all done a brilliant job in helping make this wedding special, but also being the best friends + sister Michaela could possible ask for. Also thank you so much for organising a perfect hen do, I know an awful lot of effort went into organising it and I know Michaela had a great time – even though she wasn't able to drink! Also thank you for the beautiful readings and speeches earlier.

On the home stretch now so I promise not to bore you for too much longer! To my best man Liam, I've know you for over 10 years now, and even through multiple moves around the country for us both you've always been there for me when it matters.  I thank you for putting up with my laziness in returning your calls over the years, and also for increasing my self-esteem by being useless at every single sport we have played against one another! But seriously most importantly I want to thank you for being a true friend & hopefully you'll be kind to me in your speech shortly, I know it's been hard making up stories to try and seem funny!

Finally to my beautiful wife Michaela; she is beautiful, intelligent, funny, caring – I could go on but to be honest I'm struggling to read her writing!! In all seriousness I feel like the luckiest guy in the world and I think you will all agree that she looks absolutely stunning today. I've never really been one for marriage, but it became clear to me very early in our relationship that I wanted you to be my wife. There is a saying that you don't marry someone you can live with, you marry the person you can't live without – and that's defiantly the case for me. I feel blessed to be able to spend the rest of my life with you, you put a smile on my face every single day and I can't wait to bring our baby into our lives to make what we have even more special..

I want to thank you for making this day so special, your creativity, preparation and attention to detail was truly amazing, and you should definitely take the credit for today being incredible.

So Ladies and Gentlemen, please be upstanding for the most important toast of the day, to my wife Michaela
