A groom has been urged to leave his bride-to-be after she demanded he get a second job to fund their extravagant wedding.
A screenshot of the anonymous woman’s post went viral on Reddit after she revealed she’d quit her own job as she simply didn’t have time to get ready and go to work now she was wedding planning.
The angry bride, believed to be from the USA, asked for advice on how to convince her exasperated fiancé to double his workload as their costs crept up to $80,000 (£71,132).

Asking for advice, she posted, “My fiancé and I are having lots of issue right now, we can’t stop fighting and I don’t know what to do. I quit my job because wedding planning was taking up so much time, and my fiance is refusing to get a second job.”
The bride insisted that she could only plan the wedding from home. “He doesn’t understand that I don’t have time to get ready for work, drive to work, be somewhere else all day, and drive home.”
In fairness to her, she said she was trying to get a new job working for home – but she hadn’t actually found one yet.
Originally posting anonymously in a Facebook group called Bride Vibes, she revealed her husband-to-be had flat-out refused using his precious spare time to find another job to pay for the day.
“It really pisses me off because we are spending $80,000 on this wedding and he keeps saying that we should spend less. UH, HELLO, NO. This is MY WEDDING I have been dreaming of since I was little and I REFUSE to have anything but my dream wedding.”
In a final, excruciating cry for help, she asked, “How can I convince him to work a second job to pay for this? What happened to ‘happy wife, happy life’????????????”

Unfortunately, she wasn’t about to get any sympathy from the Reddit users in the Bridezilla forum.
“This isn’t just a red flag. This is a strobe light with a few fog horns attached to it,” wrote one shocked reader.
“Well, that marriage won’t last. Hope the guy gets out before they even marry by the looks of how self-centred the bride is,” wrote another.
“Did you read the post?” a weary user replied. “She is having a WEDDING…the marriage is irrelevant.”
“She clearly needs a reality check,” a fourth recommended. “I can’t even fathom this level of entitlement…I’m assuming there is love there, but after these red flags I hope he at least postpones the wedding until she comes back to reality.”
There’s no update as yet on whether she got her way or not. For his sake, we’re hoping she came to her senses…
