With a traditional wedding, if the parents of the bride are paying for the majority of the day then it would be typical for their names to be featured on every wedding invite. This makes it clear to guests that the parents of the bride will be hosting the wedding and therefore the RSVP would traditionally go back to them, or in some cases back to the bride and groom. If you want traditional wedding invites you should list the bride’s parents as hosts, and alter the wording on the invite depending on whether it is a civil or church wedding. A typical wedding invite will then go on to list the location and the time of the wedding so the person receiving the invite has all the details.
