If you want to include a step-parent on your wedding invitations, here is the correct way to do it

If your parents are divorced and your mother has remarried, this can affect the wording on your wedding invite. If you were raised mostly by your remarried mother, you may just want to feature their name on the wedding invite, with a step parent, but refer to the bride/groom as just ‘her’ child, rather than ‘their’. If you want to include step parents when both parents are remarried, mention them on the invite as two separate couples: ‘Mr and Mrs X and Mr and Mrs Y the wedding of their daughter’. The invite should typically come from the parent who is paying for the majority of the wedding.
