Fancy spending your honeymoon lazing on a beautiful white sand beach, cocktail in hand, before taking a dip in the warm turquoise ocean? What about heading back to your private luxury suite to get ready for a romantic candlelit dinner for two as the sun sets?
You can make this honeymoon fantasy a reality – and all it takes is a few minutes filling out this short survey!
Each year, we give couples the chance to tell us all about their big day in our 21st Century Bride survey, from their budget to how quickly they changed their Facebook status to “married”.
At hitched, we love to give you the best advice on everything from finding your perfect wedding dress to saving money on your venue, and we need your help to tell us what’s been most important for your planning journey in 2018.
To say a big thank you for keeping us in the know, we have an all-inclusive honeymoon to the five star Atmosphere Kanifushi resort in the Maldives up for grabs, worth £8,000!
Set alongside a stunning two kilometre stretch of the lagoon and surrounded by lush palm trees, this secluded resort is the very picture of paradise.
Wake up to early morning yoga on the beach and spend the afternoon discovering a world of tropical fish, reef sharks and turtles as you snorkel on the resort’s own natural coral reef. Wind down in their luxurious Akiri Spa or, as the sun sets, enjoy drinks and a DJ playing laidback tunes by the pool.
Like the sound of that? One lucky couple will win a premium, all-inclusive Honeymoon Package at the Atmosphere Kanifushi just by completing our 15 minute survey.*
Staying in their Sunset Junior Suite with incredible views across the lagoon, you’ll arrive to cocktails and a romantic rose-filled bath.
Included in the package is a candlelit dinner for two, island excursion, sunset fishing cruise or canoe rental, and a blissful couple’s Balinese massage to unwind you after all those activities.
Sounds like 15 minutes well spent, right?
Last year, the 21st Century Bride survey gave us quite the insight into how you’re doing weddings.
Our survey helped us uncover the rising cost of getting married, which now averages a huge £27,161. (Although you could save yourself some serious cash with this honeymoon…)
We discovered 25% of newlyweds had a #weddinghashtag, while 1 in 5 couples went social media free.
7% of grooms took on their partner’s last name, while a rule-breaking 2% opted for one of our favourite new trends and blended both their surnames to create a new name.
What we really loved seeing was that 11% of you amazing ladies asked your partner to marry you – go girl power!
And how do you compare on the biggest spends? Our brides spent an average of £1,209 on the dream dress – but it was the venue hire, honeymoon, food and drink, and the engagement ring that you really splashed the cash on.
With a £2,000 rise in wedding costs from 2016, 51% of our couples found that they turned to their relatives for help to pay for their special day.
How will it compare this year? That’s where we need you to tell us all about your wedding day. That Maldives beach is calling your name…
