Just 14 months after splitting from ex-husband Professor Green, Millie Mackintosh confirmed her engagement to former Made in Chelsea flame Hugo Taylor. The pair began dating again in 2016 after their initial romance on the E4 reality show ended back in 2011.

Vicky Pattison & John Noble
Former Queen of the Jungle and Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison announced that she was engaged to boyfriend John Noble this year. Similarly to Millie and Hugo, John is a former boyfriend of Vicky's from almost 10 years ago. The pair made the (obviously great) decision to rekindle their relationship in October last year and have been loved-up ever since.

John Stamos & Caitlin McHugh
After dating for just shy of two years, John Stamos took to Instagram to announce his engagement to girlftiend Caitlin McHugh. He captioned the post ‘I asked…she said yes! …And we lived happily ever after” – along with a purple-tinted drawing of a couple holding each other. Aww!

Jess Shears & Dom Lever
The first (and so far, only) Love Island 2017 proposal came from Dom Lever when he asked fellow contestant and girlfriend Jess Shears to marry him, just three months after first meeting her on the show. In a cute proposal, Dom filled the hotel room with flowers, opened a bottle of champagne and asked that all important question on the terrace.

Cardi B & Offset
The female rapper was surprised on stage by boyfriend Offset when he proposed to her in front of thousands of people in the crowd at her concert in October. Cardi took to Instagram to express her happiness over the proposal, writing: “Thank you for seeing the potential in me since you met me.”

Kit Harrington & Rose Leslie
The Game of Thrones stars revealed their engagement the old-fashioned way, with an announcement in The Times newspaper. Kit and Rose met on the set of Game of Thrones back in 2012 and have been an item ever since.

Mandy Moore & Taylor Goldsmith
This Is Us star Mandy Moore announced her engagement to boyfriend Taylor Goldsmith after more than two years of dating. Keen to let her loved ones know about the exciting news, she quickly messaged her on-screen family in a group WhatsApp chat announcing the engagement along with a picture of the sparkler.
Candice Brown & Liam Macaulay
The Great British Bake Off star and 2016 winner of the show got engaged to boyfriend Liam this year whilst having dinner at the pub the pair shared their first date in. Speaking to Hello! magazine, Candice said: “I get emotional because it’s been such an amazing year. I feel very lucky.”

Rogue One actress Felicity Jones got engaged to her film director boyfriend Charles Guard in 2017. The pair had been dating for two years before the news of their engagement broke.

Gwyneth Paltrow & Brad Falchuk
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her producer boyfriend Brad announced their engagement in 2017, but rumour has it, they’ve been engaged for more than a year. Speaking to US Weekly, an insider said: “They both knew it would happen, but it wasn’t a big thing to them because they were both in long marriages before. There wasn’t a rush.”
