The Isle of Wight offers a picture-perfect location for your wedding day. Being an island, many of the venues benefit from coastal views, ideal if you’re looking for a seaside wedding venue.
The island has both pretty countryside and gorgeous beaches, with the added benefit of excellent transport links from Portsmouth and Southampton.
Haven Hall is the Isle of Wight’s best kept secret - a renovated country house with gorgeous cliff top gardens, overlooking the sea.
In the summer, you can make the most of the outside space, with a wedding ceremony in the pretty gazebo, overlooking the sea, followed by a champagne reception on the patio. You could then move into the house for your wedding breakfast, or hold the reception in a marquee in the grounds.
There are a number of function spaces inside the house; the East Room has sea-view rooms and holds up to 80 people or the West Room holds up to 90 guests. There are 14 ensuite bedrooms on site – perfect for a restful night’s sleep after a full day of celebrations.
If you are looking for a wedding venue fit for a King and Queen, Osborne House is an impressive venue with a rich history, as the family home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The Italianate style venue has played host to royals and dignitaries from all over the world – and if it’s good enough for them, then why not you and your wedding guests?
Whether you’re planning a small and intimate occasion or a big celebration, there are a number of spaces available. The Duchess of Kent suite can hold 30 for a ceremony and 70 for a drinks reception. For a larger guest list, the Victoria Hall is a spectacular dining room, with a capacity of 120. The room was Queen Victoria’s private chapel and features a stained glass windows and arched windows, overlooking the garden terrace.
In the warmer months you could consider a marquee celebration on the Durbar Lawn, with amazing views across the pretty gardens and out to the sea.
The Royal Hotel
Dating back to 1832, The Royal Hotel is one of the oldest hotels on the Isle of Wight, giving it a timeless elegance, ideal for a traditional, romantic wedding.
There are 14 chefs who will work on your wedding breakfast, preparing delicious food using locally sourced ingredients. We love the idea of serving your guests Ventnor Bay lobster and crab. The hotel has an amazing reputation and has featured in every Michelin Guide since its first publication in 1911.

Landguard Manor is the perfect venue for a relaxed English country garden wedding. The 18th century manor house is surrounded by four and a half acres of manicured lawns, ideal for an outside wedding ceremony, followed by Pimms and garden games.
They can accommodate 350 people in a marquee or in the colder months, you can enjoy views of the garden from the beautiful function rooms whilst keeping warm by the cosy fireplaces.

The Ventnor Botanic Garden
The Ventnor Botanic Garden is the perfect location for a colourful wedding, set amongst vibrant plants and trees. Located in the sheltered Ventnor Undercliff, it benefits from an extended summer season and secret tunnels that go from the Victorian cellars down to the sea.
You can enjoy an outdoor ceremony and a marquee reception in the gardens or in the cooler months they can accommodate an indoor celebration in the restaurant or one of the other function spaces.
The Enchanted Manor
If you are dreaming of the ultimate fairytale wedding, The Enchanted Manor is a magical venue on the south of the island, reached via a tree-lined drive. If you’re looking for something totally different, for an intimate wedding, it could be the perfect venue.
Inside there is a romantic dining room and luxurious suites, all with vintage furniture and elegant details.
Outside the venue is every bit as special as the inside, with a secret barbeque hut, ornate pagodas and a fairytale gazebo.
The Ryde Castle Hotel
Every princess bride needs a venue to match and The Ryde Castle Hotel provides just that. The former Victorian manor has a large banqueting area and an outdoor patio, overlooking the marina.
The ensuite bedrooms have recently been refurbished and some have the added bonus of a sea view. This is a great choice for couples looking for an affordable wedding venue, with their wedding packages start at just £10.95 per person.
Shalfleet Village Hall
Having your wedding in a village hall is a great option for couples on a tight budget. Shalfleet Village Hall is a rustic building in a pretty area, surrounded by fields.
It’s available for wedding reception hire, for just £120, leaving you money to spend on catering and pretty decorations.
The Wedding Barn
If you’re planning a rustic themed wedding, The Wedding Barn is an idyllic country venue, on a working farm. One of the great things about this venue is they have two prices available, depending on your requirements.
There is a £2,000 package with all the bells and whistles, including ceiling swags, hessian and lace bunting, greenery around the pillars, dressing of the tables and chairs and flooring. Alternatively if you want to put your own mark on the venue, you can hire the barn for £1,000 and set up yourself, bringing your own decorations to make it your own.
Both packages come with chandeliers and over the bar lighting, as well as voile curtains around the walls. There are also added extras available, including fairy lights, a selection of decorations and straw bales with blankets.
If you love the idea of a festival themed wedding, is even possible to camp at the venue.
East Dene is an elegant 11th century, Grade II listed mansion in the south-west of the island between Ventnor and Luccombe.
The fabulous venue is in a beautiful setting with spectacular views across the sea, 10 acres of natural woodland and direct access to Monks Bay.
You can make the most of the stunning surroundings in the outdoor seating area and spacious lawns, perfect for a drinks reception in the summer months. The nearby beach and woodland walks are the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos.
If you don’t fancy going down the route of an official wedding venue, then consider hiring a self-catering house, which allows you to hold parties. Shanklin House is a gorgeous 1920s villa, in the popular resort of Shanklin that allows marquees in the gardens.
The cliff-top house has sleeps 16 adults and 4 children. It has large reception rooms and is beautifully finished, with Art Deco details and stained glass windows – perfect for a super stylish wedding!
