Galvin at Windows is a stunning Michelin-starred restaurtant boasting award-winning service and incredible views over London, from its 28th floor spot in the Park Lane Hilton. The restaurant, bar and balcony area can all be hired exclusively for your special day. The restaurant, managed by First Dates love guru Fred Sirieix, specialises in seasonal, modern French haute cuisine - with dishes including fillet of Casterbridge beef and braised ox cheek, cured Loch Fyne salmon with beetroot, horseradish and dill, and steak tartare!

The restaurant seats up to 140 of your (very lucky!) guests, while the bar - suitable for up to 100 - sees Michelin-starred chef Joo Woo serve up a selection of memorable canapés to go with your champers, all while admiring some spectacular views of the city!

The Mill House Inn – Cornwall 

The Mill House Inn is a hidden gem in the quiet valley of Trebarwith Strand, just along the coast from Tintagel. If you love good quality food but want to avoid any of the formalities that can come with fine dining, then the relaxed and friendly pub could be the perfect venue for you.

The bar area is super cosy, with local slate floor and a wood burner. In contrast, the event space is light and airy and holds up to 120 for a sit-down dinner. The pub has a reputation for delicious food, expect plenty of local fish, shellfish, meat and vegetables.

Aside from the food, the Mill House has plenty going for it. It’s just half a mile from the beautiful sandy beach at Trebarwith, which is a perfect spot for the wedding photos. There are nine comfortable bedrooms available for guests to stay. As if that wasn’t enough, the friendly staff will even arrange for a fun duck race for guests in the stream that runs through the grounds! 

The Olive Tree – Bath 

The Olive Tree in Bath was voted one of the UK’s top private dining venues by GQ Magazine and is a great option if you’re looking for a delicious meal with family and close friends following your wedding ceremony. Part of the Queensberry Hotel, one of Bath’s most beautiful hotels, it is only the second hotel in Bath to be awarded two AA Rosettes.

You will be able to create a bespoke menu for your guests but to give you a taste of the food on offer, the sample menu includes pork belly with braised potato puree, pan-fried hake with mussel and parsley puree and hazelnut and cardamom mousse for dessert.

Lords of the Manor – Cotswolds 

Lords of the Manor was voted the UK’s Country House Hotel of the Year in 2015 and features in the Sunday Times Top 100 Restaurants Guide. It is the only Michelin starred restaurant in the Cotswolds that offers overnight accommodation.

Head chef Richard Picard-Edwards has created a menu with a French influence. Couples are asked to pick a set menu for all guests – but you may struggle to choose from the eight amazing options available for each course including braised lamb fillet, rolled lasagne of goats’ cheese and roast fillet of sea bream with cannelloni of brown shrimp and shellfish foam.

The beautiful 17th century Cotswold House is sat in eight acres of beautifully manicured gardens and parkland and is licensed for ceremonies in a choice of rooms.

The Old Quay House – Cornwall 

If you’re looking for great food at a seaside wedding venue, it doesn’t come much better than The Old Quay House in the pretty harbour town of Fowey. Once a refuge for fisherman, The Old Quay House is now a boutique luxury hotel. The Old Quay House is perfect for couples planning a small and intimate wedding and can hold 38 for a sit-down meal or 70 for waiter-served canapés.

Q waterfront restaurant is renowned for its food, serving creative, contemporary dishes, including local oysters, scallops, West Country meats and Cornish cheese, with stunning views across the water. You can work with the chef to create a bespoke menu full of local produce to give guests a real taste of Cornwall.

The Old Quay is fully-licensed for wedding ceremonies, you can marry against the beautiful backdrop of the waterfront restaurant of for a more intimate ceremony you can say your vows in the Penthouse Suite, for 10 guests or fewer. 

Jimmy’s Farm – Suffolk  

You will probably know Jimmy’s Farm as the brainchild of Jamie Oliver’s childhood friend Jimmy Doherty. The creation of his pig farm was followed in the Channel 4 documentary back in 2004.

Weddings can be held in the 17th century barn set within the grounds so you can enjoy seasonal food served straight from the farm. The barn has been beautifully restored giving a good mix of contemporary and rustic charm and can hold up to 150 guests.

Delicious canapés include spiced crispy pork belly and ham and Colman’s mustard fritters. Set menus start at £22.25 per guest sample menus include sausages and mash, shoulder of pork and slow braised pork belly - delicious!

For something more casual, go for a buffet or sharing platters. Options include Jimmy’s pork and apple sausage roll, Shipcord Cheddar Cheese and Colman’s Mustard Straws, Rare Breed Beef Burgers, barbequed Jimmy’s Farm Pork Ribs – all served with fresh salad and bread and butter. 

River Cottage - Devon

Another venue that has graced our TV screens is Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage located close to the Jurassic Coast. River Cottage puts a real emphasis on the food, perfect for couples who want to make eating a big focus!

You are encouraged to work with the chefs to create a unique menu, using home-grown seasonal produce. Up to 94 guests can dine on two large banqueting tables in the barn and up to 120 guests for the evening reception.

The cottage is fully licensed for ceremonies, which can take place in the farmhouse itself, in the rustic refurbished barn with views across the Axe Valley or if you want an outside wedding, you could say your vows in the walled gardens under a woven hazel arch, surrounded by climbing sweet peas!

South Farm – Cambridgeshire 

South Farm is a Grade II listed country house on the Cambridgeshire-Hertfordshire border. The family run business is self-sufficient, growing the fruit and vegetables that go into the award-winning dishes.

There are lots of different styles of wedding food, depending on what type of day you are planning. You may like to go down the traditional route, starting the feasting with delicious canapés followed by a three course wedding breakfast.

Alternatively you could go for antipasti starters with a choice of over 30 foods including cured meats, cheeses, bread, olives and vegetables. There is a cold and hot buffet option, a fusion feast inspired by foods of the world, and BBQ or lamb and hog roast.

In addition to the delicious food, there is plenty going on to entertain your guests including the small-holding with rare-breed animals, the charming collection of Romany Caravans and authentic Thai tuk-tuks. 

Roast – London

When you think of food in the capital you instantly think of Borough Market, London’s oldest food market. Roast is a beautiful restaurant set in the heart of the market, serving seasonal dishes using ingredients from many of the stall holders.

A lot of effort goes into the detail of each dish, ensuring they are freshly prepared - whole animals and fish are butchered and prepared on the site every day.

The restaurant itself is a beautiful open plan space with high ceilings, floor length windows and views across Borough Market and out to St Paul’s Cathedral.

Wedding packages include tasting with the head chef, sommelier and events manager, 90 minutes complimentary music on arrival to the venue, and complimentary flower arrangements.

Holbeck Ghyll – The Lake District 

The Telegraph named The Holbeck Ghyll as one of the best places to eat in the Lake District, quite an accolade for the 19th century hunting lodge.

Wedding breakfasts are served in the Oaks Restaurant, with the menu including: ‘the freshest Whitehaven crab and sea bass, glorious game and luscious lamb raised on the Cumbrian fells, era-defining desserts of skill and ambition and locally raised wonder-chef to create the magic.’

As well as delicious food, there is great service and an international wine list created by the in-house sommelier.

The venue is full of charm with a traditional fireplace in the oak panelled entrance hall and stunning views across the Lake Windermere, voted one of the top 15 views in the world. You can exclusively hire the house and the lodges for wedding guests. Many of the rooms have lake views and come with lovely personal touches like a complimentary bottle of local Lythe Valley gin in your room. The hotel also has its own spa, offering a range of treatments and we love the idea of a dip in the outside hot tub on your wedding morning! 

Belle Epoque Brasserie - Cheshire 

The Belle Epoque Brasserie is set in the historic Cheshire town of Knutsford and is renowned for fine wines and award-winning food. The restaurant serves excellent dishes using locally sourced meats and herbs that are grown on site.

The venue is available for exclusive use and is licensed for civil ceremonies and is full of character with a dramatic bar, Venetian glass mosaic floor and Art Nouveau fireplaces.

The Bell at Skenfrith – Wales 

For foodies looking for a venue in Wales, The Bell at Skenfrith was voted the Best Place to Eat in the pub category in the Wales National Tourism Awards.

The boutique hotel is perfect countryside wedding venue, on the banks of the river Monnow and doesn’t have any set wedding packages, meaning you can create the day you want focused around the delicious food.

Head chef Joseph Colman creates dishes using locally-sourced, seasonal food. The food is traditional with dishes such as Welsh lamb and rack of pork and the menus change regularly. 

The Star Inn - North Yorkshire

The Star Inn is a Michelin-starred Inn in the market town of Helmsley, North Yorkshire consisting of a traditional country pub and a nine-bedroom hotel just across the road!

The cooking is labelled ‘modern Yorkshire’ with regional and seasonal dishes at the centre of the menu. Head Chef Andrew grew up on farm in the Esk Valley near Whitby and this is reflected in the menu.

Ackergill Tower – Scotland 

Set on 3,000 acres of land in the Scottish Highlands and with its own private beach, Ackergill Tower leaves little to be desired when it comes to the location. Luckily the food is also a big selling point of this venue.

The talented chefs select produce from the local area, including sweet lamb and the tender beef from the nearby farms and fresh fish and shellfish straight from the quayside market at Scrabster. Vegetables and herbs are grown in the courtyard garden, game is caught from the local estates and wild salmon and trout are provided by local fisherman. Ackergill combines comforting home cooked dishes with fine dining.

If you’re planning a super stylish London wedding with delicious food, you won’t find a better venue than Tom’s Kitchen in Chelsea.

The historic wedding venue is full of character with 17th century oak panels, tapestries on the wall and studded red leather upholstery. In the summer there is the option of holding the celebrations in the Secret Garden courtyard.
