The Beverley Barn – Beverley
The team at Beverley Barn know that every wedding is unique, and that is why they don’t offer typical wedding packages. Instead, they collaborate with you every step of the way to make sure your wedding day is every bit as special as you dreamed it would be. It’s for that reason that we’re huge fans of this Yorkshire wedding venue.
If you get married here you’ll have exclusive use of all the facilities, which include a fully-stocked bar, beautiful garden areas and plenty of indoor function spaces.
There is space for up to 250 guests, and although there isn’t any on-site accommodation on offer, there is plenty of choice in nearby Beverley.
The Normans – York
If rustic and rural are keywords on your wedding venue wish list, allow us to introduce you to your dream venue: The Normans.
New to the Yorkshire wedding scene, this venue features a south-facing courtyard, Georgian barn, unique marquee within an original farm building and some imaginatively renovated cow stalls.
The barn, complete with exposed brick, beams and a cascade of fairy lights is licensed for your ceremony and the cow stalls await for your post-ceremony drinks. On warmer days, you're welcome to bring your drinks and photographs to the courtyard where you can sip bubbles in front of the water feature.
The marquee will be ready and waiting to welcome you for your wedding breakfast and a night of dancing.
Bunny Hill Weddings – York
We’re head over heels in love with Bunny Hill, a totally unique wedding venue in North Yorkshire. It is easy to reach yet secluded and traditional yet contemporary, and it offers total exclusivity and flexibility.
A south-facing courtyard wraps around the barn – a perfectly appointed space where your big day will unfold. It is light and airy with huge windows which provide panoramic countryside views. There’s also a mezzanine lounge bar which overlooks the main hall and offers a feeling of understated elegance.
For your ceremony, you have a choice of one of the quaint local churches, Bunny Hill’s outdoor oak arbour or one of their indoor function spaces. Draped in white wisteria, they would all make beautiful places to say your vows.
For your wedding breakfast, Bunny Hill will work with you to create something bespoke and totally delicious, and once the party slows down, there’s a range of overnight accommodation for you and your guests. We’re huge fans.
Crathorne Hall Hotel - Yarm
Situated in the small North Yorkshire village of Crathorne in Yarm, Crathorne Hall Hotel overlooks the breathtaking Yorkshire moors and Leven Valley.

Perhaps our favourite feature of Birdsall House is the stunning bridal suite with en-suite bathroom and dressing room. It is totally luxurious, and getting ready here would set your day off to the best start imaginable.
Thicket Priory – Thorganby
The house and grounds will be all yours to recognise your wedding dreams. There’s a range of function spaces perfect for your celebrations, all packed with original features that ooze class and elegance. The level of service here is also second-to-none – you really will have to pinch yourself throughout your unforgettable day.
With a private on-site chapel, you can host your ceremony at Thicket Priory. It is a light-flooded space with stained-glass windows and a magnificent vaulted ceiling. There are few more romantic and intimate spaces to say ‘I do!’
What’s more, your wedding celebrations needn’t finish prematurely at Thicket Priory, because there are 35 individually designed bedrooms so you can retire to your own little slice of Yorkshire heaven. How dreamy.

Woolas Barn – Appleton Roebuck
It is the perfect blend of rustic character and modern details, and is a wonderful blank canvas for you to make your own. The venue is comprised of four seamlessly linked areas: the Courtyard, the Granary, the Lambing Shed and the Ceremony Room.
Start your day in the Ceremony Room – a unique space which was once the stabling for the farm’s working horses. It has been carefully restored and boasts exposed original timber and brickwork. From there, you can head into the Granary – a reception room with rustic bar and space to strut your stuff when the music starts.
There are even two cosy snugs upstairs providing the perfect place to enjoy a chat with old friends over a cocktail or two, and fire pits in the courtyard for toasting marshmallows when the sun goes down. Where do we sign?
Middleton Lodge – Kneeton Lane
Thanks to its picture-perfect gardens, sandstone buildings and surrounding North Yorkshire countryside, Middleton Lodge is a spectacular 18th century Georgian country house wedding venue with two areas to host your big day.
The first is the Main House – a space which is full of hand-painted wallpaper, original features and antique furnishings which have been passed down the family’s generations. There are four reception rooms for the guests to relax in, a sweeping staircase and 16 stunning bedrooms. There’s even a late night cellar bar for those wanting to party into the early hours.
The second sits within the Walled Garden. It is The Fig House – the estate’s recently restored wedding venue which boasts original brick walls and botanical interiors. Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors fill the space with natural light and provide stunning views of the garden, even at a winter wedding.
Whichever space you choose to host your big day in, one thing is guaranteed: you can expect a seasonal feast full of locally grown produce. Host your entire day outside with tipis, yurts and outdoor wedding games, or hold something traditional in the main function room which is bathed in light and offers unspoilt views across the countryside.

The Tithe Barn – Skipton
The Tithe Barn is set within the grounds of the Duke of Devonshire’s majestic Bolton Abbey estate, and it is one of the largest exclusive-use wedding venues in the UK. On top of that, it is the latest in Cripps and Co’s line of barn restorations, which pretty much guarantees it to be a total treat.
The barn is lit with up-lights on the flagstone floor and fairy lights which are woven through the beams that support the barn’s elevated ceiling. Huge, medieval chandeliers refract candlelight around the room and colourful Moroccan stools are scattered around the bar. Basically, the interiors are totally dreamy.
The space can accommodate 200 guests for a ceremony and dining, and a further 100 guests will be able to join you in the evening. What’s more, from summer 2019, you’ll be able to say ‘I do’ outside on the barn’s terrace with views across the Bolton Abbey Priory ruins.
In the evening, you’ll enjoy food which has been flame-grilled on the huge indoor BBQ and French rotisseries, before taking to the terrace which offers plenty of large fire pits and seating.
Danby Castle – Danby
Hold your ceremony in the 14th century Court Room which is steeped in character and charm and boasts picturesque views across the Esk Valley.
During your drinks reception, you can explore the ancient Danby Castle ruins before taking your seat in the authentic Barn for your wedding breakfast. You’ll be served dishes prepared using only locally sourced and lovingly made Yorkshire produce.
After that, you’ll enjoy dancing the night away under a fairy light-adorned ceiling and catching up with old friends over cocktails in the snug. This venue is totally magical.
The Sun Pavilion – Harrogate
How beautiful is The Sun Pavilion in Harrogate! It is nestled in the heart of the historic town making it super convenient for your guests.
From the moment you enter the building via the stunning terrace and stand beneath the glass-domed ceiling, you’ll fall in love with the space.
There are two spots which are licensed for civil ceremonies. The first is the heated terrace with fabulous views across the Valley Gardens and the second is under the domed ceiling indoors.
For your wedding breakfast, the venue can sit 150 people just as comfortably as it can 30. The Sun Pavilion is also excellently equipped to play host to entertainers and musicians, and they have a number of contacts at their fingertips. Whatever you choose, you’re guaranteed to have a party to remember at this stunning venue.
Chapelgarth Estate – Cleveland
Chapelgarth Estate is a stunning Edwardian house set against the backdrop of the breathtaking North Yorkshire Moors. It has generous gardens, its own extensive fields and is approached from a long driveway of poplar and lime trees. First impressions count, after all!
The venue’s main function space, the Artist’s Studio, has recently been transformed into the perfect spot for your ceremony. It seats up to 70 people and would also work well for your drinks reception afterwards. Alternatively, there are two drawing rooms available for more intimate ceremonies.
Following your vows, you can hold your drinks reception on the main lawn before hosting your wedding breakfast indoors. For larger parties, there is the option to hire a marquee within the grounds.
At the end of the night, you and your closest family and friends can retire to the eight stylish bedrooms which sleep 15 guests in total. With the option of booking a package brunch, you can extend your celebrations even further.
Issho – Leeds
On the hunt for a stylish and contemporary city centre wedding venue? Issho, a wonderfully authentic Japanese restaurant which is based on the third floor rooftop of Victoria Gate in Leeds, could be just what you’ve been dreaming of.
It is a total escape from the bustling city below, and boasts stunning views over Leeds. It is also ideally placed close to a range of venues for your ceremony earlier in the day.

King’s Croft Hotel – Pontefract
