Robin is an excellent and friendly photographer. Robins photography style is unique to her and it reflects how much she enjoys being behind the camera. Our engagement and wedding photoshoot were captured by Robin perfectly, she makes her clients feel comfortable and relaxed at all times. I highly recommend Robin for your special day, easily the best wedding photographer in the area! Thanks Robin

  • "Amazing Photoshoot"
Rob Rass on 24 April 2020

Having had Robin do an amazing photoshoot of our engagement, we loved the way she captured the moment in such a natural and appreciative way (kudos for hiding in the bushes), so we absolutely went ahead with Robin as our primary wedding photographer! Robin was able to put together a photography package which suited the type of wedding we wanted, which included an awesome photo-booth! Importantly, we were also able to easily communicate what kinds of shots and group photos we wanted from our wedding day, as well as making sure we agreed on the logistics and how the day would pan out. Thankfully, the day went amazing well (especially the logistics) and Robin was brilliant, being at the right place at the right time. The photos we received are incredible, and capture the day in such a special way. Robin's online photo gallery helpfully had them arranged into sequenced folders and enabled us to easily share them with family and friends. We would highly recommend Robin, in capturing such special moments and stories.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of your service?

My services begin at £1599, and my clients spend an average of £1950. Please drop a line to get a list of my detailed packages!

What services do you offer?

Wedding day photography, option to book a second shooter, heirloom albums and prints. Engagement portraits are included with all full day bookings (this is a pre-wedding shoot).

What does the wedding package include?

How far in advance should I contact you?

as soon as you like! I do recommend couples have a venue booked to ensure that your date is chosen before you book me.

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

no, once booked I'm yours for the day!

Are you able to travel?

I am able to travel throughout the UK. Travel fees may be incurred if your location is more than 80 miles from Southampton, dependent on timings.

What is the charge for travelling?

This is dependent on several factors so please be in touch with your wedding date and venue for a custom quote. This quote would include fuel and accommodations if necessary.

What style of photos do you take?

I would define my style as a mixture of documentary, fine art and romantic.

What kind of technology do you use?

My medium is digital photography.

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

acute observation and humour?

What kind of equipment do you use?

Canon equipment, Apple (mac pro) computer, Western Digital hard drives.

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

yes, every client receives their own online gallery, I use a brilliant company called pixieset for galleries.

What''s the delivery time for photographic report?

you'll receive your full wedding gallery between 8-12 weeks after your wedding day, depending on the time of year.

Do you send all the photos taken?

I can take over 1,000 images on the average wedding day, so no, I do not include all of those in my final galleries. I send the ones worth seeing! I'll provide you with a comprehensive image gallery of 500+ images, culled of the ones that are unnecessary (duplicates, blinking eyes, unflattering, etc.)

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Sometimes I will have an assistant or a second shooter. I work alone for about 50% of bookings.

In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?

I am privileged to be a part of a large network of professional wedding photographers who can call on each other if for any reason a replacement should be needed.

Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?

Do you charge per hour or per event?

I charge per event.

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes, up to 12 hours, with the latest end time being 11p.m.

How do you charge extra time?

extra time is charged per hour

What are the forms of payment?

Bank Transfer

How do you work?

my approach is a combination of documentarian throughout the day, offering gentle guidance during portraits, and getting the formal shots done and dusted efficiently through organisation and directness if/where needed. I'm there to observe and capture the day as it happens, but when you want that one photo where everyone looks at the camera, we can make that happen quite easily.

How do we book you?

I have an easy online client portal where you choose your package and fill in the T+Cs all online. Once I receive your deposit via BACS and everything is signed, I'm yours!

What time will you arrive and what time will coverage end?

I will stay up to 12 hours if the festivities are still in full swing. I usually arrive 2 hours before the ceremony to capture the hair, makeup and getting ready. I stay at least until after the first dance. You probably don't want 3 hours of evening reception photos of drunken dancing, but I won't leave until the evening atmosphere has been captured and you're happy.

Do you take a deposit? How much is that?

Every booking is secured with a £400 deposit, no matter which package you choose.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, all bookings are paid in 3 instalments. The £400 deposit is taken from the full package amount. Your next payment is due 180 days before the wedding and the final payment is due 30 days before the wedding.

What if we need to postpone our wedding after we've booked you?

This can be done within 12 months of your original booking and the payments will be transferred to your new date as long as I am available. If your postponement date is further out than 12 months there may be a new deposit fee depending on the date chosen, however aside from the deposit, any payments already made will be transferred to the new date. I am very happy to work to ensure your wedding goes smoothly and would love to be there for you on your rescheduled date as long as I am not already booked.

Why do you include an engagement session with wedding bookings? Can it be substituted for something else in the package?

An engagement session is the perfect time for us to get to know each other before the main event. If you're at all camera shy, or just not looking forward to the photography aspect of the day, this short session can alleviate any anxiety and help you feel more relaxed. You may even have fun. And you come away with some lovely images of the two of you apart from the stress of the wedding day! I encourage all my couples to take advantage of this shoot for all of these reasons. Some people are unable to because of travel or timeline issues, and that is completely okay! Because this is a complimentary service, meaning the value of the session is not included in the package price, I am unable to offer any substitution.

Can we meet you before we decide to book?

Yes! I'm available for telephone, facetime or an in-person meeting if you're a Hampshire local. This free consultation can be booked easily using my online calendar. Please fill in my contact form or email me and I'll be happy to send you my availability!
