Frequently Asked Questions
What is the price of your service?
The price of our photography services vary depending on the package and any extras you choose at the time of booking. Our price range for the base collections is between £599-£799.
What services do you offer?
We offer two main "base" packages (or collections as we call them). Our Half Day Collection and our Full Day Collection. Priced at £599 and £799 respectively.
We offer "extras" which can be added to your collection, such as Engagement Sessions, Photo Booth services, an additional photographer for the day and of course, extra Champagne in addition to the bottle you'll receive as standard.
Product wise, we offer prints, canvas art, acrylics and albums. If these are of interest to you do let us know and we'll run through all the options for you.

Whether you choose the half-day or full-day package, your photography collection will include:-

Delivery of your USB box and dongle with your digital images loaded, to your door, around 6-8 weeks after the big day.
How far in advance should I contact you?
Almost everyone books their venue first - it is after all what secures the date. We as photographers often get booked up to 18 months in advance, and in many cases are the third most significant booking behind the venue and the registrar/celebrant. So do get in touch shortly after you've got your venue in place to see if we are available for your big day.
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Never! When you book us for your wedding day, that day is devoted to you :)
Are you able to travel?
We're based in Somerset in the southwest UK, but travel nationally and on occasion internationally for weddings. Regular travel to Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Hampshire, Wiltshire and up into South Wales.
What is the charge for travelling?
If you're venue(s) are within 100 miles of our base here in Somerset, it's included in the price. For each additional mile over, we charge 45p per mile.
What style of photos do you take?
Natural, relaxed, unobtrusive wedding photography is the name of our game! We believe the the natural shots can be the most powerful, capturing emotions, feeling and of course the love of your wedding day as it unfolds. For any group and newlywed photo's we try to keep things relaxed too, but we will guide you as needed.
What kind of technology do you use?
Our cameras aren't the latest nor the most expensive on the market, but they work well for weddings and provide beautiful results. We use Canon, along with a bag full of gear including Flashes, tripods, light triggers and a host of other useful equipment to hand if and when we need it.
Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
We like to keep things relaxed. In our experience, the more relaxed you are, the more flattering and character capturing your images will be too. One thing we know we do differently from many others is our all-inclusive photo booth service at £269. Large 6x9" prints as apposed to the often small 3x4" (and smaller) many others provide, our photo booth uses curtained backdrops and studio quality lighting for crisp, clear images.
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use Canon cameras, not the latest nor the most expensive, but they work well and create beautiful images for weddings. Tripods, flashes and a whole host of other gear on standby as and when we need it.
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
As part of the collections, we include a secure online gallery once we've completed the editing of your images. You can login to this using the details we'll provide to you, and also share with family and friends. This remains online for one month from the date it goes live.
What''s the delivery time for photographic report?
Overall delivery time, from wedding day to the day you receive your USB Box and Stick with all your wedding photography loaded on to it, is between 6-8 weeks. Sometimes this will be quicker, and very occasionally it may be a little longer. Delivery time is dependant on the time of year and how busy our workload is.
Do you send all the photos taken?
No. But we will send you all the good ones! During the editing of your images, many photographers including ourselves carry out a process called "culling", essentially removing images that don't meet our own standards. We'll then edit the ones that made the cut, and you'll receive all of these. Usually between 400-600 for full day photography, but every wedding is different.
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
I largely work alone, but we do have the option of hiring a second photographer for an additional £299. This can be great for capturing even more natural looking shots of your wedding day from different perspectives. I also work closely with many videographers at weddings, along with liaising with your venue to ensure a smooth day for all.
In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?
In the event I was unable to capture your wedding day myself, then we have networks of photographers in the local area who are able to step in and ensure your day is captured in full.
Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?
As the photographer, by law the photographer owns the images and therefore can publish them for advertising and marketing purposes. However, we do provide you with a shared copyright certificate, which means you can print your images anywhere. We do ask that when publishing via social media (or any other forms of media) that you always credit us with the image.
Do you charge per hour or per event?
For weddings, we charge for the entire occasion as apposed to "per hour". For events and other work, we'll provide a quote based on the work that is required.
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
If needed, we can usually work extra hours. This would be billed to you afterwards and would need to be settled within 7 days.
How do you charge extra time?
If we are held up at your wedding for reasons outside of ours/your control we generally won't charge you extra if the hold up remains under an hour. If it's over this, we will bill for the additional time and the bill would need to be settled within 7 days. If you request the extra time, we will charge for it.
What are the forms of payment?
We take bookings via bank transfer, cheque or cash. Unfortunately we do not take card payments. We can also accept PayPal, but will add in any charges that are taken by PayPal from us in connection with the transaction. Additional payments towards your balance can come via bank transfer, cheque, cash or PayPal.
How do you work?
My preferred style is laid back, blend in, and capture the day as it happens, naturally. There are elements of the day that require a little more structure, such as the ceremony itself and any group shots you may wish to have.
