  • "Beautiful photographs"
    Katie on 29 April 2019

Wendy photographed our wedding in April 2019. We found Wendy after seeing her work from a close friends wedding. We went to visit her at her studio and were impressed with her portfolio and knowledge - we instantly knew she was the one to photograph our wedding. We had some engagement photos taken as a practice which I would thoroughly recommend as this meant we were very comfortable on our wedding day. Wendy was very organised and we ran through the day in advance and on our site visit. On the day we barely noticed she was there. She blended into the background but the shots are right in the action! When we received the photos back we were over the moon with all the moments she had captured that we hadn’t even seen! Unashamed to say we sat on the sofa and cried at how beautiful they were!! Wendy also worked collaboratively with our videographer to create the best atmosphere. Wendy is thoughtful, creative and professional and we would absolutely recommend her.

  • "Thank you Wendy"
Carla Sessions on 12 December 2018

Slightly late leaving a review but we hired Wendy to do our wedding photographs back in July this year. My father summed up Wendy perfectly. He was really worried after the wedding that Wendy didn't take many photos, however when we received them back he was shocked as to how many and amazing photos she took. Wendy reported our wedding perfectly without being in our faces or ordering around our guests. Could not recommend highly enough. Thank you Wendy x

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the price of your service?

I offer a tailored service and most weddings start at £1500.

What services do you offer?

A full day's coverage usually from bridal preparation to first dance. I prepare and edit the images to my signature style and a password protected online gallery is available to share with family and friends approximately two weeks after the wedding. I also provide some highlights images within five days. As well as all the edited high resolution images on a USB, I offer a beautiful range of wedding albums, professional printing and framing service.

What does the wedding package include?

My wedding photography always includes all edited prepared images on USB and a password protected online gallery via my website.

How far in advance should I contact you?

I am generally booked a year or more in advance for summer weddings. It's always worth getting in touch though.

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

I only photograph one wedding per weekend.

Are you able to travel?

Yes, I'm happy I travel.

What is the charge for travelling?

I charge 50p per mile for driving. If the distance is more than a two hour drive , I will need overnight accommodation.

What style of photos do you take?

My style of photography can be described as a mixture of flattering reportage and classical. Most of my photographs are taken candidly, capturing the moment, unposed. However, most couples do wish to have a certain amount of organised family and friends shots which are important to capture but without fuss!

What kind of technology do you use?

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

Apart from many years photographing weddings, I'm also an award-winning portrait photographer and couples appreciate the special portraits they have amongst their wedding images. Child portraiture is also one of my specialities so couples who already have children appreciate this additional skill!

What kind of equipment do you use?

I use two Nikkon D810 digital bodies with a selection of lenses. I use flash sparingly as natural light is best and a reflector when needed.

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

Approximately two weeks after the wedding, I send a password protected online gallery via my website. Couples can select their favourites for their album from the gallery and guests can also order photographs directly from my website.

What''s the delivery time for photographic report?

A selection of highlights photographs within a few days and the edited and prepared images are available approximately two weeks after the wedding.

Do you send all the photos taken?

My images are edited and from an eight hour wedding couples generally have 400 - 500 images.

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

I am the only photographer but I generally have an assistant.

In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?

I am a member of the Master Photographers Association as well as having a network of top accomplished and experienced fellow professional wedding photographers who I can call on. I have never needed to do this, but it's important to have backup.

Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?

I'm not an avid social networker, however I do occasionally post a small number of images on my website or Instagram. I ask couples beforehand if they are happy to have their images on display.

Do you charge per hour or per event?

I charge per hour including the images and an online gallery and albums and additional printed photographs or framing vary according to style, how many photographs, size of album etc.

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

How do you charge extra time?

By the hour.

What are the forms of payment?

I send the couple an invoice and this can be paid by bank transfer or I can raise a PayPal invoice.

How do you work?

I'm discreet, observant and thoughtful. I understand that whilst it's important to capture the very best images as a permanent record of such an important day, nobody wants to feel under pressure to pose all day. I like to surprise couples with images they just didn't expect or aspects of their day that they missed!
