What does the wedding package include?

Me, all day capturing everything possible. You also get a 15-20min video slideshow set to music. A complete private gallery to download the images. A full print release. All images on a USB stick

How far in advance should I contact you?

I book as far as 2 years in advance. But I advise that as soon as your venue is booked, get in touch

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Yes

Can you travel?

Yes, i cover the whole of the UK and beyond

What is the charge for travelling?

Most Mainland UK venues have no additional charges

What kind of technology do you use?

Digital

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

I like to get in close and capture the wedding from the inside. I feel doing this allows you to feel like your back at the wedding when you look at the pictures

What kind of equipment do you use?

All the good stuff :) All professional grade cameras and lenses

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

Yes, all my couples get a private online gallery that they can share with family and friends

What's the delivery time for a photographic report?

2 months

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Alone

How do you charge extra time?

I offer a single package that has me there from early preparations until late into the evening. I love the dancefloor & will be there in the middle of it. Basircally, there are no extra charges

How do you work?

Hard :) I try and be discrete as much as possible and do not boss you around and make the day all about the photos. I like to be creative and make the experience fun

Captures memories and emotions

Jonathan is a one of a kind photographer. He does not just take
photographs he captures memories and emotions. Everyone commented
on how friendly and good natured he was. It was like we had known him
for years. I felt completely at ease during the day, Jonathan is stealthy -
like a ninja- you never notice him taking photos which is great as that’s
when the magic happens. I would not hestitate to recommend him to
friends or family.

Fantastic addition

Jonathan was a fantastic addition to our special day and worth every
penny. Everyone commented on how well he integrated into the party and
put everyone at ease; it felt like we were spending the day with a good
friend. I feel that he went above and beyond our expectations, no demand
was too small or too great. The finished results only prove we made the
right choice and would happily recommend his services to everyone.
Need to get our renewal sorted so we can book Jonathan again!

Most amazing photographer

The most amazing photographer we could have ever wished for. From the
start he was open to any questions and ideas. On the day he fitted straight
in and there was no point that there felt like their was a "stranger" in our
very small house as we were all getting ready. As a couple we are not very
comfortable in front of the camera but Jonathan made us laugh all day
getting some great shots. When we revived our photos we both cried with
how beautiful they were.

Extremely professional and friendly

We booked J S Coates after finding his amazing, natural work on the
internet. We messaged him to see his availability for our date, from that
moment onwards Jonathon could not have been more helpful! Jonathon
was keen to speak to us in person which made us feel so at ease, this
meant that the morning of my wedding, it didn't feel like we had a
stranger with us! He was extremely professional and listened to all of our
ideas! On the day,it honestly felt like we had another friend at our
wedding!

Love our photos so much

We love our photos so much and were so over the moon when we saw
them. Jonathan did such a great job, it was more like having a friend at
the wedding, he made us all feel so comfortable. Our guests loved him
and his approach to taking photos really brought out the best in everyone.
He was professional, fun and has such a great eye for a good shot, he
captured some great moments. The slideshow he sent to us made
everyone cry and the music he chose for it was just perfect. We couldn’t
be happier.

Captured the day perfectly

Jonathan arrived when hair and make up arrived and did not leave until
around 11pm. He captured the day perfectly. He fitted in amazingly with
the day and ensured everyone felt relaxed and comfortable throughout. He
captured the natural feel of the day amazingly and we are so grateful. He
even went the extra mile taking something we had forgotten to the venue.
When his photos arrived they were classy, funny, elegant. He was
completely professional and caught the day exactly as we wanted.

Service was beyond perfect

From the moment booked, service was beyond perfect, made to feel like
the only couple getting married. On the day, so supportive, nothing was
too much trouble. All the guests were raving about him and some of the
positions he got into to get the most incredible shots were above and
beyond. From start to finish he was faultless, we are so pleased that he
was our photographer and that we have the most amazing images of our
day to last forever

Amazing, friendly, professional

Jonathan is amazing. Friendly professional... running around the venue,
on the floor in fields until he gets the perfect photo. His humour and kind
nature made us feel relaxed like we were being photographed by a friend
who knows us not a photographer we have chosen online. He's
enthusiastic and has the ability to make people smile and feel relaxed, and
is fantastic at blending into the background to get the perfect photos . He
communication and professional manner has been perfect throughout!

Amazing photographer

Johnathan was an amazing photographer leading up to and on the day of
the wedding. He went above and beyond to help us by meeting up with us
at the venue, discussing ideas of shoots, helping us understand his
photographic style as well as giving us ideas of certain shots. On the day
of the wedding he was helping the day flow whilst also capturing those
special moments, he even went to great lengths to capture amazing shots
like rolling in a field of sheep poo.

Put us at ease

On the big day, he was a real joy to be around as his sense of humour and
bubbliness really puts you at ease. He worked tirelessly snapping away,
lying on floors, getting in to rugby line outs and the like just to get the
perfect shot. He captured such beautiful shots of our day including little
touches, such as the homemade centrepieces. He also got really excited
about more unusual shots (we had photos taken in a forest) and it was so
lovely to see him enjoying his job. The editing was brill.

Highly Recommend

We can highly recommend Jonathan's services without hesitation! He
brought tonnes of creativity capturing all of the essential moments and
beyond. His passion for photography shines through all the way from shot
taking all the way through to post processing avoiding lazy cliches. He
worked tirelessly from morning to night, engaging guests exceptionally
well. Having our photos taken was always a pleasure, never a chore!

Friendly and professional

Jonathan was friendly, professional and made us feel at ease. He was
fantastic through out the entire process and the photos he produced are
both moving and beautiful. He really captured what we wanted, took all
of our ideas on board and gave us exactly what we wanted. He blended in
seamlessly on the day and took warm and natural pictures that really
captured the emotion and energy of the day. He also paid attention to the
little details that made the day special. He really went above and beyond

Relaxed and stunning photos

From the moment we first found Jonathan and looked at his work, we
crossed our fingers and our toes that he was available! Fortunately he was
and after a bit of a chat, we booked him straight away. We had an hour
long convo on Skype to discuss our requirements but mainly just had a
laugh and talked about all sorts. The day was amazing, so fun and relaxed
and the photos are stunning! Always supportive and available if we had
any Q's. Fabulous gent and would not hesitate to recommend him!

Most amazing photographer

Jonathan was the most amazing photographer I've ever worked with (and
I work in corporate events!) his sense of humour instantly puts you at
ease, and it felt like we had known him years! We couldn't meet face to
face beforehand but a simple FaceTime call was a great solution! The
photos were incredible, more than we could have imagined, and his
slideshow (with his own music interpretation of us) was out of this world!

So much fun!

When we said goodbye to Jonathan at the reception late at night, he headed for the door after an incredibly long, hot day. A large merry group headed
for the dance floor and Jonathan ran back into it, camera in hand smiling.
Before the photos came back people were saying how much fun he was to
have there.He over delivered on the quality of photos and his ability to
truly capture the moments on the day we're just outstanding.It was like
having another friend at the wedding, who discretely took pic
